  1. Ehh, I don't know if that's really fair when he didn't play in the playoffs.
  2. Cowboys usually start slow. This could play into the Bills' hands.
  3. Colts and Raiders both nipping at our heels. Everyone else is probably dead. I think the Bills are better than the Raiders and will make the playoffs along with the Colts. I give the Bills a fighting chance in all remaining games. At 7-3 now, 3-3 the rest of the way is a conservative/modest hope.
  4. Brown is really good. He's the #1 on this team, but I think in a perfect world it would be best for him to be your #2. He hasn't shown an ability to make contested catches or make big #1 receiver plays. He catches the ball when he's open, which is great, but he's not dynamic in the air or after the catch, two traits you typically look for in a #1. I think using his stats as evidence that he's a #1 is a bit misguided. Last year, some people used Zay's stats in comparison to other #2s to show that he was ostensibly a legit #2. I prefer to go with the eyeball test and what I see in terms of dynamic playmaking ability.
  5. If that were Allen missing the throws that Wentz is missing, people would be losing their minds. But Wentz gets a free pass because I guess he maybe proved something years ago?
  6. If you think about it, they all probably flew in and were taking public transportation to the stadium. With the last-minute switch, they would have to rent cars for the hour drive and it would probably affect their scheduling on the back end. Very understandable that so many teams backed out.
  7. It's on Bills Mobile -- brief Friday PC in the field house yesterday https://www.buffalobills.com/video/sean-mcdermott-there-s-no-place-in-the-game-for-that
  8. Does anyone know which reporter asked McD about Hughes' comments? McD snapped at him, telling him not to put words in his mouth.
  9. Teams don't do that. They put their best foot forward every Sunday, with few exceptions.
  10. Yeah. It's puzzling why Jerry was so irritated with the media there.
  11. I wonder if he would be if nothing else had happened after he attempted to rip Garrett's helmet off. Maybe just a penalty/fine.
  12. Myles Garrett should be banned for life. Having said that, I have a feeling the following will be lost in the discussion: Mason Rudolph did commit the first non-football act of aggression there. Let's not pretend that didn't happen. It in no way justifies what followed, but it nonetheless occurred and should not be ignored just because Rudolph was brutalized. He should be suspended a game.
  13. It's what the Steelers do... They've been so lucky the last few weeks. Their fans think they're good and are starting to get arrogant, which is really annoying. (I live in Steelers country)
  14. Yeah, there's no one on our team with that passion.
  15. The Steelers might get lucky... again. They've been winning a lot of games that way.
  16. The Browns are self-destructing. Furthermore, a total lack of killer instinct, worse than the Bills. They better not give the Steelers this game.
  17. The Steelers have a huge amount of momentum. We want them to lose whenever possible. They are a problem.
  18. I think you need to look up the definition of trolling! That term gets thrown around on here for anything people disagree with. It's okay to just disagree without calling the person a troll or insulting them (not saying you did the latter, btw). No trolling intended!
  19. I'll reply to you and @BringBackOrton at the same time. In my mind, kicker is just something I'd take care of right off the bat to make sure I got a great one. It's not that I think a kicker is more valuable than a quarterback. I would just start with a kicker because that at least gives me some baseline of competence. Admittedly, I realize that the nuances in my thinking might not be obvious. ☺
  20. Can we not do the "please stop" thing as if this is some kind of a bizarre contention? Great kickers make big kicks, which makes a difference toward wins and losses. It's hard to mask a bad kicker. I don't have a chance to do the research right now, but I'd wager if you looked back across the league this season, you'd see MANY outcomes that would have been different if a guy had made a kick or kicks.
  21. I don't understand this comment. If the Bills had, for example, Justin Tucker on Sunday, they would be 7-2.
  22. Obviously, I disagree. Another poster made the point that the Patriots have historically made it a point to have a great kicker. I think it's "criminally" underlooked. Kickers often have a greater impact on the outcome of games than any other single position, save quarterback, in my opinion. The difference between a great kicker and a "whatever's left" kicker is probably 2 games per year, I would think.
