The 49ers' statement says the guy showed "remorse." That seems like a strong word. I think some of the outrage over the suspension has to do with the concept of the guy having to be "remorseful" over this, as if it was a truly out of line/offensive comment. That really makes people feel like this PC culture is going way too far. I too struggle to come up with a way it could have been rephrased while making the same point. I wonder, and fear, if we have truly gotten to the point where it would actually be offensive to say: Lamar Jackson has dark skin. As if no one is allowed to ever acknowledge another person's skin color. It seems like we might be there.

I don't buy the talk about it not being sold out because people can't afford it. In a region this large, there have to be more than enough Bills fans who are not so economically challenged so as to have to choose between $50 tickets and Christmas presents. I think it's mostly an issue of the weather and comfortable living rooms, and maybe there aren't as many diehards as Bills Mafia would like to think.

Yes, lol. I was a season ticket holder last year and drove 5 hours both ways. Otherwise, I've been to about 20 other individual games. I couldn't this year because I have to work on Sundays. If I lived in Buffalo, I'd definitely go to each and every home game.

If there aren't enough Bills fans to buy sub-$100 tickets, I can't understand how anyone thinks a new stadium is going to work.

Unbelievable that there are still tickets available from the Bills. It's not just that people are reselling them... The game isn't actually sold out. At home. 9-3 vs. 10-2. I'm not sure how this and "The Bills have the best fans in the league" can both be true. I'll probably get flamed for that, but really, what other conclusion can you draw? I think this game would be sold out in similarly cold Pittsburgh or Green Bay.

It was a Total Access interview. It's on the NFL app but there's no share option. He actually said it with a lot of emphasis, like he's annoyed that people are making a big deal out of it. What I think is happening is the Bills are exclusively focused on just making the playoffs. They haven't thought much about possibly taking that number one seed. It's this interview as well as Josh's comments from a couple weeks ago when he made the comment that they know the number of wins that are typically needed to make the playoffs and they're "just trying to get number 8." Fans might not like to hear that their goal is just the playoffs, but I think it is what it is.

Let's keep the fifth-worst kicker in the league... Great idea! If Beane is throwing money at players to boost their confidence, that is all kinds of screwed up. The problem is I believe that's exactly what happened. He already has. With a better kicker, we would be 10-2 and control our destiny for the #1 seed in the AFC He actually is one of the very worst kickers in the league. Stats don't lie for kickers.
