Bills ranked dead last in YAC last season.
DCofNC replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thank you for taking time to actually read what I posted and responding with a thought our response, it’s appreciated. While I understand Diggs will get yards if you put him one on one, he’s not somebody that teams are really scared of. He’s not going to burn you like Hill or bully you like Michale Thomas etc. He’s containable, the Chiefs proved that, but he will get his yards and there’s not much you can do about it because he is such a crisp route runner. You just don’t have to worry about him taking the top off a D. Crowder and McKenzie should get more YAC than Beasley who was just taking the catch and diving forward all too frequently. He did that when healthy, so I’m not going to say it was all injuries last year, he just doesn’t want to get crushed and I honestly don’t blame him, but it’s what separates the guys like Edelman from him. If Crowder can stay healthy, he should enjoy a career year with Josh. I hope McKenzie gets more use this year, he’s flashed quite a bit, but it seems like as soon as he’s getting rolling he’s off the field again. I’ll be interested to see if that was Dabs or McD. Cook hasn’t played a down in the NFL and won’t get on the field if he can’t pass protect, he seems willing, but is he effective against NFL players? We’ll see. He definitely has a chance to add a missing element to the O. See above. -

I know the Homers don’t want to see it, but there’s not a single “explosive” player on the O outside of Allen. Diggs is a great player, but nobody worries about him burning them. There’s nobody else on the team that can beat an average DB in a foot race. The biggest reason I wanted a 1st rd WR was to add explosiveness to the playmaker group. Right now, it’s not there. Knox is the best bet to add YAC, that’s not great. Hopefully Cook brings some help in turning short throws to long gains again. As of Today the O goes as far as Allen takes it. -
I’d like to see the Bills do a black out uni, replace the all reds with all black.

Let’s just see if he can make the team, lots of big legged punters haven’t made it. He drilled line drives, that’s not going to work in the NFL.

I suspect this is more it w him. Somebody is going to pay him a reasonable amount to be a plug and play corner, I’d love to see him added just before preseason. It would be great to have him in earlier, but guys literally retire to avoid all the training camp etc, I could see him trying to avoid it as long as he can. I’m shy to say anybody has “earned” that right with what these guys get paid, but he’s not a guy that needs a ton of coaching.

Diggs is not the game changer Hill is. If you single Diggs, he’ll get a catch. Single Hill and you worry he takes it to the house. Diggs is a really good player, Hill is a different level of game breaker. I would expect Allen to do comparable damage without Diggs, Hill changes the way teams play you. I think Hill will be sorely missed in KC. I do believe Pat will be fine, but that’s because he is one of the best in the biz.

Ben got plugged into the system Allen should have been put in, very little pressure on the QB to carry the team. To this day it’s all about Allen. With that said, it’s worked out, Allen has grown up FAST. At this point in their careers, Allen has become a better QB than Ben was at the same point. Ben lasted and did it for years, let’s hope JA does too.

The only Josh Allen Run That Needs to Go Away
DCofNC replied to JESSEFEFFER's topic in The Stadium Wall
There should be zero called runs outside of the red zone. There’s no need for it. When it breaks down or if a team drops into a deep zone and the middle of the field is wide open, go get the yards. Using Josh as Mike Alstot has got to stop. -
It would be really smart of them to offer the to sell the season ticket holders the seats they sat in. It would make them a fortune. You are looking at like ~$50 in labor to remove and tag them. Sell them for $500 a seat. If I could have anything, I want a piece of the parking lot, that’s what made the joint special.

If you can’t get the basics, not sure how you are qualified to evaluate the complex, but you do you.

What you should be scared of is Davis’ 200 yard game being like Sammy’s on vs the Chiefs when he was here. A one time fluke that he can never repeat. Watkins certainly has/had more talent and could absolutely destroy D’s when he tried, Davis is basically the guy who was able to step up in one game thus far. He’s had some big catches, but he’s got a BIG jump to take from a #3 maybe 4 to a real number 2 in this league. Allen will help, but it’s no given the guy is going to make that leap. I know people hate me saying it, but this team is thin as far as proven weapons go. Right now, a guy who could only get a 1 year, 4M dollar deal is your most proven guy after Diggs, nobody else has ever done jack for the span of a season. For everyone that says Davis “came on strong” at the end of the year, realize the guy basically duplicated his rookie year, nothing more. I think he can step up, but will he? That’s a different thing.

I stop read the minute somebody gives Beane credit for White.

Glad he’s not the stadium designer, hopefully he uses that unique “vision” well on the field.

Wagner is still playing at All-Pro level and Edmunds never has. That’s as silly as saying Tom Brady wouldn’t be an upgrade for Daniel Jones because of age.

At least the Steelers are getting some revenue from their otherwise wasted first round pick. #lesserEJManuel2.0 -

Trevor Lawrence asked to be paid in Crypto currency
DCofNC replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
Taxed twice and fees. Collect 10M get taxed 3.2M, buy 6.8M in crypto, pay 1% of that in fees and then get taxed on the sale. Or, be paid in crypto before tax, get taxed for it at EOY, hopefully the gains pay for some of the taxes. Kinda like stocks. Probably didn’t work out as well in this case. -
Well, obviously a lot of nothing here, but I gotta think Barkley is pretty much toast at this point, can’t stay healthy and when he has, he’s run like he’s afraid to get hurt.

Your argument is valid, but nobody else was able to do what Ruth did. Wilt Chamberlain, same.

It’s fun to feel like you are never out of it. Used to be third and 12 or more and you could go get another beer bc it was a punt upcoming. Now there’s no distance I believe they won’t get. Allen is an absolute super star.

Feeling like Bengals might be "Top Opponent" this year
DCofNC replied to Billsfanatixs's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m going to be really interested to watch the Chiefs this year. Hill is a big loss, I don’t think people give him enough credit for their success. I don’t like the guy, but he’s an absolute game changer even if he doesn’t touch the ball. I wonder if we won’t see more “Bad Pat” this year as he gets frustrated.
