  1. How much does it suck to be Flacco right now? Oh hey buddy, you can come in and get hammered on if one of these guys goes down, but you definitely aren’t going to start a game for us.
  2. The organization and the players do a great job being real participants in the community. It’s great to see. I love that we have the stars are actively involved too, not every team can say that.
  3. Personally, I love it. I’d absolutely do the same thing, given the chance.
  4. I think you are having a selective memory of last year, the talk down the stretch was “Beasley is washed”, either “get McKenzie more involved” or “you can’t trust McKenzie!”, “RB with 1st pick!” Etc. People got their hopes up that Davis was going to be the savior this year and he’s been exactly what he has always been, inconsistent. He’s a nice #3 or 4, no where near the second #1 the delusionals had in mind. It’s actually an easy argument to show the Bills elected to decrease talent vs last year if you look at who they let walk vs what they didn’t replace them with. Hopefully, Beasley can be effective for 8 weeks, that could be the difference of real SB aspirations and another January where the players don’t need to debate if they should have a dome in Buffalo from their couch.
  5. My initial thought, “ uhh no, I don’t want to see those Phin WRs in the playoffs”. Then, “he might be right, the Jets have the better QB and D, wait am I debating the Jets as a playoff team in my own internal monologue? Time to go to work.”
  6. Just crank the heat to 85 in the visiting locker room, get them all good and sweaty and send them out to the freezing temps.
  7. So it’s worth using tax payer money to build a stadium that’s used for 20 games a year? Build a truly useful year round complex and bring concerts etc in to give the economy a real boost.
  8. AZ should have told Murray to pound salt, play on your current deal or don’t, we aren’t giving you more. This is their punishment for being fools. Baltimore has a real interesting decision ahead of them. I personally would try to tag and trade Lamar, he’s a top performer, but he doesn’t seem to have the ability to raise the level of the team in a manner that justifies taking the huge risk with him. The team needs an over haul anyway, I’d start with a boat load of picks and cap space. If there was a crazy drop off when Lamar isn’t playing, I’d be far more inclined to pay him, but that’s just not the case. I know it COULD be coaching, but I also know I haven’t seen a single QB look better after Roman left. I’d side with caution and let him go, I feel like he is pretty close to his ceiling right now. On a better team that’s good enough to win quite a bit, but will it be enough to land a title? Ehh… The biggest problem is going to be the media backlash for not wanting to pay him, you know Steven A is going to lose it, but that’ll calm down pretty quickly.
  9. The issue is, this team is built on the pass, great early in the year and much tougher to do as the weather gets worse. The backend of the schedule, when you have must wins, your team is handicapped. It’s not the greatest situation. I don’t understand why a dome wouldn’t be the #1 option in a new stadium.
  10. I think you need to check your facts before you have crab legs stolen out of your freezer.
  11. Gotta agree, I think the Bills can implement the Lamar Jackson defense on Hurts and shut him down. He’s arguably having a better year than Lamar in his MVP season, but I don’t think he’s ready for the difference the playoffs bring. This is the guy that got taken out in the big game for Tua, not that it defines a player, but he hasn’t proved he can dominate when it matters. There’s very VERY few that can do it on the NFL level. As of this very moment it’s Maholmes, Burrow, Allen, Rodgers and Brady and the last two are extremely questionable at this point in their careers.
  12. He’s not elite yet, most of his sacks are really coverage sacks or somebody else pushing the QB to him. He’s got some more moves than he had, I’d like to see him stunt inside more, he’s an absolute problem when he does. He does a great job against the run and his length definitely causes issues. His pass rush still has a long way to go to be considered elite. He’s a legit starter at DE in the NFL and that’s a great start. I’m hoping for Campbell 2.0.
  13. He really did not come close to performing as well as Blackshear in the pre-season, but if it makes you feel better to say it, that’s fine.
  14. A couple things here, the field was wet, he’s playing against guys that are faster than he is when he’s 110%, safe is the right word, but I don’t necessarily think it’s him protecting himself as much as it is making sure one mis-step isn’t a touchdown. He did miss an obvious read late in the game when the Jets were playing to the sidelines, he broke inside, was really shocked to see him make a “mental error” of the sort, but overall he played well. Keeping in mind this is really his “pre-season”, you also need to remember he doesn’t always start off real fast either, the year after his contract people were calling for his head because he wasn’t shutting people down the first 4 games of the year. He needs to get in the flow more. Scheme wise, he’s never been fast, probably isn’t full speed and we are missing safety help, plus the AFC East has become a track meet, expect him to play soft per coaching for the majority of the year.
  15. Exactly, you don’t start calling time outs after a first down stop with 3+ mins to go. The guy is a joke. Gotta cheer for the Bolts, knocking Miami back in the division is far more crucial than anything else.
  16. Singletary is going for 132 yards and 2tds.
  17. He’s basically on his last chance to “prove” he can be a starter, if he wins out.. who knows what happens next year.
  18. Their fault for not following masking protocol.
  19. Is he still in playing shape? Maybe he can help at FS for the stretch run.
  20. There is one downside, if they want to free up money next year, they would have to convert his roster bonus to signing bonus to kick the can down the road further. So in theory they could free up ~10M of cap space, by converting that to signing bonus and add about 2.6M to the cap every year there after. So 2024 gets uglier and you pay for it longer down the road. All doable and at this point probable, you need to add somebody to make up for his presence next year and a #2 WR will have to be paid. Not to mention Edmunds has to be paid or replaced, though he already has a healthy cap hit, so that’s not going to be a big bump there.
  21. Bahahahaha, Denver would trade you Russ’ in a heartbeat and that’s WITH Von hurt.
  22. Well that settles it, a non-contributing member of the Wr core has been released, clearly OBJ is on his way. What on earth anybody has seen from this kid to believe he was going to contribute this year (or ever) is beyond me. I know Bills fans love their late round “gems”, but this guy runs fast in gym shorts, that’s it. Maybe he can develop into something, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
  23. That offense is so bland, Vanilla producers have asked for trademark infringement for using their product in association with it. Wilson looks like garbage and HACKet is just that, a good ole boys club pick and a complete Hack. HACKet has to be the first to go, his contract doesn’t count against the cap, they are STUCK with Wilson, there’s literally nothing they can do, his dead cap would consume over half their salary cap if they got rid of him. They are screwed and wasting a TON of money either way. Their only option is to live with Wilson and hope they can tailor something to his strengths, otherwise, they are in purgatory for a number of years.
  24. Even if he’s not his old self, he should be able to get in the way a little better than what they did yesterday.
