  1. There’s no point in drafting another RB, build the line and Blackwell could have been your starter. RBs were dirt cheap in FA this year, you only bring two to the active roster anyway, so who’s going to be inactive? Unless you get Bijan, there’s zero point and that’s still a stretch in the first.
  2. It’s no different this year than it was last year, there are the same number of games (actually 1 more this year for the Bills, hopefully) and the same number of teams go to the playoffs. You have to win the games you should win and if you are a legit SB contender, no-one should scare you. The Bills beat the SB Champs last season, they can beat anybody. I do think the Jets will be tougher games this year and the Fish are a good team that signed a better back-up to hedge against Tua, it’s not going to be an easy division to win. Somebody is going to, even if you split every single division match-up, it’s only 3 losses, there’s plenty of other games to win. Plus, if you can’t sweep the Pats, you better not worry about the playoffs anyway. The West should get 2 (Chefs and Bolts) The South gets 1 by default (Jags) East gets 2 (Jets, Bills) North gets 2 (Cinci and Pitt <— yah I said it) The battle for the WC should be good this year. Thing is, injuries will happen, surprises will come up and we have no idea where Lamar lands if not in Baltimore. There’s a lot to happen when the GAMES start. a QB could go down and screw a team, this conference is loaded with QBs, some old, some risky, and ya just never know. There might be a resurgence of the West and they truly do beat each other up to lose a spot, maybe Watson plays up to his contract and Cleveland takes out Cinci, maybe the Bills go undefeated and win the SB, anything can happen on any given Thursday-Monday.
  3. Hodgins did nothing more than Robert Foster, just chill. The guy couldn’t break the Giants roster until injuries forced him on the field.
  4. Well said. Personally, I think they have the best roster in the AFCE as of the moment.
  5. Get real Shakira didn’t win the job because he wasn’t good.
  6. I see it more as a play against injury. That said, if he’s really REALLY bad, they could pull him too.
  7. Actually pretty solid on the Jets side, if he gets hurt or is God Awful, pull him and avoid the pick, if he’s playing well, it’s a worth a first. Huge “If”, but IF he’s healthy and playing to his best level, I think the Jets just moved to the favorite to win the division. Still a major “IF”, though.
  8. Tre was not a Beane pick. At best it’s the Mc regime and don’t forget the guy taken at the Bills original slot was a slow starter, but turned out ok lol.
  9. If Bijan falls to 27, I’d probably take him. The whole idea behind BPA is building a team full of talent at ALL positions. Let’s ask this, would the team be better off with an Adrian Peterson type running the ball or the 5th rated OT in a weak class? I think it’s obvious most would say, give me the HOF player at a position I don’t “need”, vs a borderline starter. That’s why BPA is the way you build a team. Not taking a guy because you have a pretty good one ( or in this case, you have no idea what you have), is the path to failure. Not that it’s a perfect case, but what if the Cardinals passed on Mighty Mouse because they had Right Josh. They would have set the team back years. I’m not going to argue for Murray, I think he’s super overrated, but the point remains.
  10. The same was said about Zay Jones.. who also was from a Carolina school.. not the same, but yeah. Elite anything is nothing until it’s in the NFL and shows that it’s a great asset along with all the other intangibles being at very least, REALLY good. Not saying he won’t be good or anything if that nature, but 1 skill does not define an NFL player.
  11. Yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and disagree. He’s the type of guy you are happy to have on a rookie deal. Paying a guy who’s often injured (though playing), and wildly inconsistent, is not a guy you want to pay 10-12M a year.
  12. Just because the Bills have a first round grade does not mean others do, nor that they are right. Obviously, people didn’t have the grade on JA17 that the Bills did, they were right. Looks like the rest of the league was right on AJE.
  13. Would not bet on that.
  14. Based on the history of returns for 2nd round picks, yep. The biggest problem is the money. If they will eat money or he will take less, it would be great to have him.
  15. Harsh on Crabtree IMO, he never lived up to his draft status, but he was above average for 7-8 years.
  16. He was, physically. I thought RG3 was going to be special, injuries really derailed him, but even in the later years of his career he just couldn’t get it done. Luck also has to be thrown in here too, he had a decent career, but was often injured and really accomplished nothing.
  17. It shows they know how much Chicago sucks, only $3? TicketMaster adds $50 and it doesn’t stop people.
  18. Inflation is real.
  19. The nice thing is Buffalo should be a top 10 destination for ring chasing vets.
  20. I don’t want a Morse clone at all. This team needs more physical players in the trenches. The finesse game is cute for the first half of the season, but the team resides in the ***** weather capital of the world, build a team to play in it. Imagine a team that mauls you in the run game AND has Josh Allen to destroy your secondary. The one dimensional offense has been the problem with the team for the last 3 years, it’s time to change it.
  21. Not all LTs are first round picks, nor am I saying we have to draft one there, but at some point you are going to need one or you are going to be paying Dawkins WAY too much on the back side of his career. I’d be looking to retool the entire line essentially. LT is huge, but Morse is also about done ( should already have his replacement here, instead be got a Boogie), and nobody else on the roster has proven to be more than replacement level. I want a WR too, but the class sucks, and overall this draft is weak AF, if there is ever a year to go all in on the trenches, it’s now.
  22. I’d really rather draft a guy that projects as a Left Tackle. Dawkins is average at best and is going to get paid like he’s elite. I’ll take a pass on another 20M/yr contract. One would HOPE, the prospect would take over the RT job for this year and slide to LT when Dawkins moves on. Brown is a decent Swing Tackle, I really don’t see him moving inside, if anything it would seem playing from a deeper position would be more likely to aggravate his injury. If that’s not the case, then his nasty side might be fun in the run game.
  23. He’s definitely chosen an interesting life
  24. I get what you are saying, but also would argue, it’s virtually identical in the basic make up. You have an undersized, high performer, that probably goes #1. Then a more traditional and equally accomplished in college type of guy. Then you have a couple freak athletes.. one bound to bust like Rosen, I’d just throw milk on Levis in pregame and be done with him if I were a D coordinator, so I have my doubts there. Hooker, I think could be an early performer. I think Dak is a solid comparison. I’d happily take that vs anything we had between Kelly and Allen, so yeah.
  25. I don’t expect Hooker to run, I expect him to be pretty decent early if he gets to a decent team.
