  1. Sometimes you need to admit the mistake and take your medicine. Now I’ll go back on my soap box and say the 5th year option is for SUCKERS. If a guy isn’t good enough to earn a real extension already, you shouldn’t be giving them a guaranteed year at nearly franchise tag price, it’s stupid. You hand away your negotiating leverage, you can always franchise if the guy suddenly figures it out, but how often does that really happen? You almost always end up paying more for no reason and it’s GUARANTEED a year ahead of seeing the performance. Only idiots use the 5th year option and boy does Beane love to back himself into a corner with it. Yep, but boy trading up was off the table because they needed to recoup the 3rd round pick they lost filling a mid season hole.. so now you know what’s coming.. WR is the second highest paid position on the field, the Bills are scraping the bottom of the barrel and are too stupid to draft an elite one in the first round, year after year, so here we are. Please tell me how great the Wizard of Beane has made the team.
  2. But they have speed
  3. Yeah, but to sign Groot will be a big contract for a decent player, it’s the way you go to cap jail. He’s going to demand top 10-15 money and he’s just not impactful, you can’t resign those guys and win.
  4. Absolutely. This year they were hell bent on trading back to get their 3rd round pick back because they just couldn’t live without another rotational DT. Instead of trading up to get a legit #1 WR on a team that was in OBVIOUS NEED and is the second highest paid position in the NFL, so a 1st round pick is extremely valuable to lock one in on a low dollar contract. Like you said, no problem wasting picks to go up for a CB or TE, but then going blind to the idea because they wanted a 3rd round pick back. I’m really not at all impressed with Beane. He rolled the dice once and hit on Allen. He hasn’t hit on anything in the first round since. He really hasn’t gotten a lot out of the first 3 rounds if we are honest. In 7 years he’s got a QB and a RB who are top end talent, everyone else ranges from pretty good to utter bust. The fact the team got so far this year is amazing.
  5. They don’t rotate nearly as much since Von told him he couldn’t get a rhythm that way. That said, a rotation means everyone is equal, there’s nobody that’s clearly better than another so just keep mediocre fresh. It’s basically what we have seen since McD has been here. A bunch of guys who make no impact, just rotating in and out. It’s a terrible system and it’s an indication of no difference making talent. For the first few seasons it seemingly ALWAYS had the “backups” in on crucial downs because it was their turn, at least that has lessened. I know people think the scheme is why the line isn’t producing, but look at Miller, pre-injury, he was getting sacks. Last year Floyd comes in and gets sacks. Now look at the guys that have left… the DTs seem to go back to having an impact, at least Settle and Ford have and the DTs here are doing nothing, so from that standpoint I see an argument. On the outside it looks like a complete lack of talent is the issue because guys can come in and produce in the system and if they aren’t producing, they go elsewhere and don’t produce. I think the scheme neuters the DTs bc they have to eat blockers, trying to hide Safties masquerading as LBs. Edge guys? I think the ones we’ve seen/are currently on the roster just suck.
  6. They continue to hit in draft picks, Carter is destroying OLs and Dejean (who SHOULD have been the Bills pick) has been locking people down, they continue to replace high performers with high performers on the cheap, through the draft, the way it’s intended.
  7. oook, so he was better in every way, but definitely not better, got it.
  8. He was rushing and playing tight, he didn’t let things develop on his designed runs and made a lot of sketchy passes. Overall, it was a game I would have expected more from Lamar than him, but it is what it is.
  9. Yep… a team in desperate need of talent, had no cap room to improve the last 3 years running and continued 1st round busts.. it’s awesome.
  10. Just get used to it guys, it’s the new purgatory, too good to blow it up bc of the QB and never good enough to actually win it all.
  11. Great, so is he or is he not contributing FAR more than Coleman?
  12. This has been my issue all year, it’s like his playbook has 6 plays in it and if they don’t work, they lose. Well, here we are. Zero creativity in the biggest game, was he still “holding back” like everyone kept claiming all year? The D looked over matched all game, they got a lucky turn over and that did get converted so that was huge. Going forward, the offense isn’t going to get better because the team is cash strapped AGAIN and needs to retool this pathetic D. It’s a vicious cycle, all on the back of poor drafting.
  13. Same ***** different year, going to be playing back ups in the secondary and get roasted, no accountability again. Team comes out playing like dog *****, doesn’t matter.
  14. That looks more like an incomplete pass, idiot ref on the field wins again.
  15. He finally got to play! In all reality, I was hoping he was going to replace Hamlin, who IMO is a far bigger risk to get torched. That said, I’m just glad he got some playing time down the stretch so he’s as ready as he can be.
  16. When he becomes one. He doesn’t even show up on the first page for WR leaders in any stat that matters. He’s a good player, but if you think he’s a #1, you’re kidding yourself. He may get the most targets on this team, but that’s an indictment of the system and lack of standout players. The whole team is a compilation of Jags and Josh Allen. What they are doing is amazing.
  17. Pacheco does not look the same, not sure if that’s from Hunt taking carries or the injury, but he doesn’t appear to be the same guy.
  18. Sounds all too familiar. Hopefully, McD has learned from the past and can get us over the hump. He seems to be better this year, but that second half looked like him falling back to old habits. I’m optimistic and terrified all at the same time.
  19. Will they? Baltimore is arguably the better team.
  20. the guy has 400+ catches, 5000 yards and 50+ TDs, Kincaid will be lucky to sniff those stats.
  21. Mark Andrews has a body of work that Kincaid can only dream of. One rough game sucks for him.
