  1. I’m actually pretty pumped about this signing, it’s a lot of IFs, but if he’s healthy and has his head on right, he could be the #2 TE behind Knox, send him and Knox on the line and Kincaid in the slot, now you have some size to deal with out there. To me, it would make a ton of sense for the Bills to pivot their game inside the 20’s which is where they really struggled (relative term), vs between the 20s where there’s more space to operate. Diggs is the only proven guy that can separate in tight quarters and he shouldn’t be the biggest threat to teams when you get to the redzone, no offense to him, he’s small. Having potentially 4 guys out there over 6’2” if you roll 3 TEs, all capable of running routes and Davis, with Diggs working the soft spot, it’s going to be a mismatch somewhere or teams match it and open up opportunities to run, throw to RBs etc. I’d love to see something along the lines of what the Pats used to do with Gronk and Hernandez and let Kincaid play a slot role, that would be something else. With teams going to a smaller/faster D, you should look to pivot towards size and power to punish them for it. Let’s hope that’s part of the plan at least.
  2. If I was a millionaire, I wouldn’t still be working towards being one.. same thing and same odds as Davis getting to a”high end” number 2 this year.
  3. I sincerely hope he holds out all season.. he is the Josh Allen of their defense.
  4. At least they know the TE depth is atrocious (if you consider Kincaid a big slot). There’s not a real TE on the roster aside from Knox.
  5. So you do t buy it because guys that have done something in the league have a higher ranking than guys who didn’t even start in college? Solid.
  6. I tend to be a little pessimistic, I don’t think this was a good off-season and generally think the team needs a fairly significant over haul and philosophy change. That said, this team will contend this year as long as Allen stays on the field. If they get hot at the right time, they could win it all. If Allen misses more than 5 games, I’d guess it’s a playoff miss.
  7. Does is again this year and I’ll be on board. The league has film on him now, it will be interesting to see if he can back it up.
  8. If he’s got anything left.. could be a big year for him.
  9. Great points. The East is the Bills to lose, probably for as long as Allen is here and healthy. I do think the other teams got more outside help than the Bills did, but the Bills will be better than we saw for a lot of last year, assuming everyone comes back healthy. I would certainly have preferred to see more talent added to the offense, but it is what it is.
  10. Yeah, I bet you thought the same thing about WR last year. All you just said is, there isn’t a starter on the team. It’s a bunch of JAGs, one who is fast and was over drafted by a team with a reputation for wasting higher draft picks on poor RBs, so you are expecting a lot from him. This is why Beane deserves far more criticism than he gets. He gets infatuated with “potential” and over spends on players that don’t need to be paid for, then we all sit here and say, “ would love X, but we don’t have the cap space.”
  11. DN sucks, they are the lackluster crackheads that run a lot of the thruway stops too, they manage to make franchises horrible. Can’t say I’m sad they are gone, nor surprised for that matter. This stadium is going to require better amenities to make it profitable DN was awful for years and deserved the boot.
  12. The Ravens will regret the Jackson deal the most, they are hitched to a guy who can’t finish. My bet is he won’t see the field for more than 30 games in the next 3 seasons combined before they have to cut bait and rebuild.
  13. That’s about it. Basically saying, here’s an incredibly gifted guy, who you can have for a 7th rounder OR you can compete to sign him, hopefully we get something.. anything..
  14. I’d try to sign him to the PS. At very least his speed would give you a comp for routes in practice.
  15. Remember when people were worried bc they signed Julio ( w Brown there)? Yeah. This is less of a worry.
  16. And there it is, he took the bag. Winning didn’t really matter.
  17. I’m just sick of their fan base. I have found there is a distinct pattern to their claims. Once the first is argued, they move to the next. 1) Lamar is better than Allen bc Allen has Diggs and Lamar has no weapons. 2) It’s Roman’s fault. 3) MVP. 3) Race card.
  18. Where’s the Raven fans to tell us Lamar does more with less?
  19. My exact fear. Hopefully, it’s not a repeat.
  20. Pitts is too low, but whatever. This sounds about right for Knox.
  21. I think you are right, that said if he didn’t have the name, I’m not sure he has more than a Sam Bradford career. There were far more reasons to bench him than consider him a HOF QB, but here we are.
  22. Not saying he was bad, but he was never dominant, even for a season, they won nothing and he quit after 6 years. There is no place for that in the HOF. Look, if Maholmes quit tomorrow, I’d still say he deserves a look. His numbers are insane, he’s got titles etc. Luck has nothing.
  23. If he gets in, the HOF is officially a joke.
  24. Shorter was a late round pick for a reason. The guy was a higher rated prospect than Jamar Chase out of high-school, he sucked in college. He transferred because he blamed the coaches, needed to “be used properly” and still was a nobody at Florida. The chances of a guy like that magically realizing he has to work at the craft and becoming something are next to nothing. He’s a physical specimen, but we’ve seen plenty of them end up out of the league in a big hurry. I expect the same for him. I also hope he reads this and decides to prove some random fan wrong and becomes MegaTron, I figure that’s as likely as me hitting the lotto I don’t play.
  25. I disagree with everything outside of not loving the Cook pick. Murray has been very good for a long time and does not have a ton of miles on him, if I had to take one back to get the touches, I’ll take the guy who can run like a real back. Ekeler is about as much finesse as CMC, he’s “small”, but the guy has tree trunks and powers through a lot of contact. There’s a reason he lead the league in TDs most of the year. It’s not because the Chargers have a substantially better OC than the Bills. He’s a lot closer to Marshall Faulk than Jerome Bettis, so I get what you are saying, but he’s really the definition of an every down back.
