  1. I don’t mind that, but I wouldn’t give up a first next year for him in the deal, upto, but no more than a second.
  2. Priorities are winning a CHAMPIONSHIP, rigors season is just entertainment. This regime is not going to get it done.
  3. Now THAT is a way to shut down all the non-sense about Lamar being a top 10 QB. The other crazy part, he has one season with over 4K yards COMBINED, rushing/passing. He’s a threat, but is he really that impactful? I don’t know. Believe it or not, I have had internet clowns argue with me that he’s averaged 4K yards because they want to project his stats over 17 games and determine that’s what he “would have” had if he was healthy…. Wow.. just wow.. never mind that he’s had one season in 5 where he’s actually gotten (barely) 4K yards, but he “averages” it. I’m guessing that might be his “agent” lol. To your point, the top QBs pass for more yards than he gains combined. If you look at the numbers, Allen actually destroys him, but then there’s ball the security argument too.
  4. Tough place to be in, I want them to win it all, I’m also quite sure this regime will not get it done. So it may require losing to finally win.
  5. I know, which is why I wouldn’t actually mind a complete collapse. This system isn’t good enough to win it all.
  6. Guess you weren’t around for the 20 years before Allen huh? This team is a dumpster fire without him. The two are not that different at all.
  7. Rapp is good insurance for Hyde. Hamlin was not great before, I wouldn’t count on him for anything to be honest. I don’t see them adding anybody else though.
  8. We still need a TE1 so there’s that. WR2 would be nice too. So long as Davis isn’t the second option, I don’t care.
  9. He’d be a nice back-up.
  10. If Allen had busted, this whole regime would be gone. Without Allen this is a 6-7 win team AT BEST. Homer much?
  11. If there were not a lot of other concerns on the roster and you didn’t have 3 guys who could all start, then sure. I’d love to have somebody better as a back-up at #4, but let’s be real, that’s not the priority.
  12. He did, but he was not quite as dynamic as Kelce and no where NEAR as durable.
  13. All you need is one of the best ever to play the game at TE, a guy who is literally impossible to stop and boom, WRs don’t really matter. Kelce makes that team work on O, he can block, and he’s an absolute nightmare as a receiver. He’s better than Gronk and arguably could be the very best ever at TE. When you have that, WRs are a bonus. KC is smart in going after speed to stretch D’s out and dump to Kelce under it all, nobody else has that. Would be nice if we did, or if our OC would recognize a horrible line and call for a quick throw game, but we have none of that.
  14. I was thinking it was the number of times he would make any meaningful play this season.
  15. I think it’s obvious, McDermott was/is a swinger and got tangled up with Bernard’s Aunt, who threatened to put him if they didn’t take her nephew at least 3 rounds earlier than anybody else would.
  16. Lamb fell from his original projection, the package of picks given up for Diggs was relatively close to the value of 17 and would have saved a TON of cap space. If the same opportunity presents itself this year, Beane should be going up. WR is a NEED, what on earth would they do if Diggs was out for any period of time? There’s nobody on this roster that’s even a starter outside of Diggs.
  17. I did not mention a single word about drafting a running back in the first round. I think you need a decent run game, which can be accomplished with a good running back, there’s no need to be taking one in the first round.
  18. If you follow the logic of taking pressure off JA, then a RB is the answer. Even with more weapons to throw to JA still has to make the throws, handing it off means nothing on JA. IF and it’s a BIG IF, you could give him a decent running game and some time to pass, I think the current weapons are probably good enough for him to get it done. That said, he can’t be under fire EVERY time he drops back. Elite WRs get open and do it quickly, ok ones can usually break free, but need more time. No time to wait and a scheme that depends on a read of being open means you have to protect longer. Fixing the line will help the run game and the pass game, but even our best pieces on the OL are basically average and we pay them as if they are better.
  19. I’ll take him as the coach right now, as a GM, no thanks. Not saying Beane is the answer, but Billy needs some checks and balances.
  20. All depends on who falls, but if the right value is there, trade back. I could honestly see the Bills going the other way and going up to land a guy. It SHOULD be a cheap year to move based on the reports of lack of talent at premium positions, so if we see a situation like we saw when Lamb and Jefferson fell, I’d be fine going up 10 spots to land a difference maker.
  21. Clear as mud. In all seriousness, I can’t see anybody giving up much more than a 3rd without some help on the contract.
  22. Let’s see if he is what we think he is or if the failures of the D are squarely on his conservative decisions.
  23. He’s the default #3 with 2 old guys in front of him, both coming off beat up seasons, with a coaching staff that’s made stars out of nobody’s. I’d take that gamble if I’m him. There’s a strong chance he plays A LOT this year and I feel better about that vs the mess we watched there last year.
  24. I don’t see how Davis is even part of the question here, he carries no value in trade, he’s on the last year of his deal and hasn’t done much on a consistent basis. The question is, will he be the only legitimate outside WR on the roster outside of Diggs or will be playing the role he should as a 3rd WR? I’m really hoping they get somebody to move him down, he’s got talent, but he hasn’t put it all together for more than a game at a time. I like the guy, but I warned everyone last year, you don’t rely on a guy to step into a huge role over 1 game, I was told what an idiot I was, here we are. He’s a nice compliment piece that CAN have a big game, but until he proves otherwise, that’s all he is. Yes, you want to keep him, but you also want him in the right role, that’s not as a primary target. In an ideal world he’s getting targets behind Diggs, WR2, Knox, and possibly Hardy if he pans out to be more than what he’s shown he actually is thus far.
  25. Cole Beasley is mostly right in his opinions.
