  1. I’m not going to read much into the first few days of camp, but yeah, if he can’t be consistent, I’m happy to have him take his money from another club next season.
  2. I’m sure THIS year is different. People were slobbing all over him for his great off season last year, dude still couldn’t catch a cold in December. Call me when he gets his hands right and quits trying to clap fastballs.
  3. Ok, we can agree on this, he’s not the #2 you want. I think he’s a pretty good #3, but a below average #2. He has flashes / spurts of great play, which make his numbers look like a #2 at the end of the year. End of the day, the position needs to be upgraded.
  4. I would call the Receiver room “full” not stacked. The only way I see Davis being traded is somebody offering a really nice pick OR swap for another vet WR of the same caliber. I guess the other possibility could be Shorter claiming the #2 spot in camp, that I do not see happening. Im all for trading Davis if there is a plan in place, I don’t think he’s a number 2 at all, so I’d let him go if I had a better option, but that leaves a very small WR room with little to no history of production and in a SB or Bust type of scenario, you don’t compromise depth over a 3rd round pick.
  5. Hope he is ok and it’s nothing more than a strain that heals up prior to the start of the year. He’s too valuable to have sitting. Sure it’s great for the rest of the AFC to soften one of the best teams, but I wish him a speedy and full recovery.
  6. Agreed, I cannot see him doing better, but who knows.
  7. He turned down a longer deal bc he wanted to be paid top dollar. He screwed himself.
  8. Downside is Allen will get 70M on the backend of his deal.
  9. I thought he looked like he was pretty solid in TN when he got a shot, certainly not expecting a lot, but if he makes the roster, I won’t be shocked. I think we have different definitions of “solid”. It’s a risk and a half, similar to WR, except with this group there is no top end guy to lean on. Harris has to stay healthy or we are watching JA as the leading rusher again.
  10. That sucks. He really came into his own last year, I was hoping we could land him. Hope it’s better than it sounds.
  11. Yep, if he shows up for the first week, they have to pay him.
  12. I’d actually lean towards Shakir being the returner, he was awesome in College. He’s plenty fast enough (4.42) and his open field moves are nuts. I’d expect this to have more impact on the WRs than RB room per se. It does however mean, the RB room just got a little thin for comfort. Harris has an injury history, Cook has never been a 1 and Murray is really a guy you want as a back up. Not saying it should change the plans, but I certainly wouldn’t be shocked if it’s a nudge to go after a better bell cow type.
  13. I’m actually pretty pumped about this signing, it’s a lot of IFs, but if he’s healthy and has his head on right, he could be the #2 TE behind Knox, send him and Knox on the line and Kincaid in the slot, now you have some size to deal with out there. To me, it would make a ton of sense for the Bills to pivot their game inside the 20’s which is where they really struggled (relative term), vs between the 20s where there’s more space to operate. Diggs is the only proven guy that can separate in tight quarters and he shouldn’t be the biggest threat to teams when you get to the redzone, no offense to him, he’s small. Having potentially 4 guys out there over 6’2” if you roll 3 TEs, all capable of running routes and Davis, with Diggs working the soft spot, it’s going to be a mismatch somewhere or teams match it and open up opportunities to run, throw to RBs etc. I’d love to see something along the lines of what the Pats used to do with Gronk and Hernandez and let Kincaid play a slot role, that would be something else. With teams going to a smaller/faster D, you should look to pivot towards size and power to punish them for it. Let’s hope that’s part of the plan at least.
  14. If I was a millionaire, I wouldn’t still be working towards being one.. same thing and same odds as Davis getting to a”high end” number 2 this year.
  15. I sincerely hope he holds out all season.. he is the Josh Allen of their defense.
  16. At least they know the TE depth is atrocious (if you consider Kincaid a big slot). There’s not a real TE on the roster aside from Knox.
  17. So you do t buy it because guys that have done something in the league have a higher ranking than guys who didn’t even start in college? Solid.
  18. I tend to be a little pessimistic, I don’t think this was a good off-season and generally think the team needs a fairly significant over haul and philosophy change. That said, this team will contend this year as long as Allen stays on the field. If they get hot at the right time, they could win it all. If Allen misses more than 5 games, I’d guess it’s a playoff miss.
  19. Does is again this year and I’ll be on board. The league has film on him now, it will be interesting to see if he can back it up.
  20. If he’s got anything left.. could be a big year for him.
  21. Great points. The East is the Bills to lose, probably for as long as Allen is here and healthy. I do think the other teams got more outside help than the Bills did, but the Bills will be better than we saw for a lot of last year, assuming everyone comes back healthy. I would certainly have preferred to see more talent added to the offense, but it is what it is.
  22. Yeah, I bet you thought the same thing about WR last year. All you just said is, there isn’t a starter on the team. It’s a bunch of JAGs, one who is fast and was over drafted by a team with a reputation for wasting higher draft picks on poor RBs, so you are expecting a lot from him. This is why Beane deserves far more criticism than he gets. He gets infatuated with “potential” and over spends on players that don’t need to be paid for, then we all sit here and say, “ would love X, but we don’t have the cap space.”
  23. DN sucks, they are the lackluster crackheads that run a lot of the thruway stops too, they manage to make franchises horrible. Can’t say I’m sad they are gone, nor surprised for that matter. This stadium is going to require better amenities to make it profitable DN was awful for years and deserved the boot.
  24. The Ravens will regret the Jackson deal the most, they are hitched to a guy who can’t finish. My bet is he won’t see the field for more than 30 games in the next 3 seasons combined before they have to cut bait and rebuild.
  25. That’s about it. Basically saying, here’s an incredibly gifted guy, who you can have for a 7th rounder OR you can compete to sign him, hopefully we get something.. anything..
