Rodgers out for the year (UPDATE: Rodgers wants to return for playoffs)
DCofNC replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
That sucks for them and Rodgers, I’m not a fan of his, and was happy he left the game bc I figured they were going to be tough with him, but season ending/possibly career ending injuries are awful. Worst yet for Bills fans, Wilson has actually looked pretty good this pre-season and wasn’t too bad last night. They may be alright with him. He made one bone headed mistake vs JA w 3+, it would suck even more if he develops. -
Chris Jones agreed to deal with KC (1 year deal)
DCofNC replied to Sestak4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall
Apparently he had somebody explain the math to him. Still a one year deal is idiotic on his part, unless it included a no franchise tag clause. -
Buy: Milano, he will be key against the run and pass tonight, needs to be huge and I expect he will be. Sell: Harty, hope I’m wrong, I see Mckitrick all over again Hold: Kincaid, has some learning to do, hope he can produce early (really hopeful for may fantasy team as he was supposed to be my back up/possible flex and then Kelce went down for week 1).

Ryan Fitzpatrick in Little Caesars NFL Commercial
DCofNC replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
The personality has always been there, I think the Amazon hiring has actually helped him with exposure more than the other way around. Either way, I love it, he’s a funny guy. -
Exactly, if it weren’t for the concussions, people would be ranking him as a top 5 guy. He’s scary because you never know if a stiff breeze is going to knock him out for the year, but when he’s playing, his numbers/ actual performances are really only being topped by the truly elite guys. There was a reason everyone thought he was going to be the #1 pick, he’s good. He’s actually really good. A healthy version, ask yourself, is there really anybody out there that’s out performing him aside from Maholmes, Allen, Burrow? I think he falls right in the Hurts, Herbert etc level, which is damn good.

Miami is a threat to the Bills, I don’t know where you guys keep coming up with the idea they aren’t. Tua may not be Allen, but this D isn’t the 49ers either. People are acting like Tua is a complete bum, that’s just not the case. He’s not as physically gifted as the real elite guys, but if he can stay healthy, the guy is absolutely a top 10 QB with all that talent around him.

When do you typically get big game, game day anxiety?
DCofNC replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
This thread indicates a lot of mental illness in Buffalo. -
I’m hoping for big things, Kelce was my first round fantasy pick and I took Kindcaid in like round 10. Obviously, Kelce was out so Dalton gets the start.

Obvious hold by the G right in front of the official, spun the guy, and nothing..

The AFC is no joke, this team cannot afford to stumble out of the gate or it’s going to be a tough mountain to climb back into contention. There’s a lot of reason for concern about the D and a lot of unanswered questions on the offensive side as well. The one big reason I believe the team will make the playoffs is #17 still plays here.

Bernard, Torrence and Benford all officially starters
DCofNC replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m not excited about Bernard “winning” the job, but hopefully he’s got more that what we can logically expect. At least Kirksey is waiting if the wheels fall off. -

Couldn’t have said it better. I kind of expected them to shift Benford to S in the off-season given his size/speed, I thought he would be a great Poyer or Hyde replacement. The re-signing of Po and getting Rapp on the cheap obviously made the S spot less of a concern. The fact he’s earned the starting CB spot is awesome for him, he played well last year, especially as a rookie. Looks like a genuine steal. -
Caleb Williams - unreal player (and who will get him?)
DCofNC replied to RobbRiddick's topic in The Stadium Wall
They dumped Rosen in a hurry and took the lil guy. I could see them just saying screw it w Murray too. In fact, I think they would be fools not to. Just take the L and move on, they will have to GUT their roster to do it, but that’s what you get for caving to a putz like him. This could be an Osweiler situation where they have to give somebody a high pick to take him, just so they can have enough salary cap to field a team. They can’t just cut him and I don’t know that anybody really wants him. If a team has a lot of cap space and would take a first or second rounder to blow it on him for a year or two, it might be the best option. The other thing they might do is pay him to stay away. -
Will boogie basham be the next Wyatt Teller for Beane?
DCofNC replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
Could have moved him to a 3T and given him Oliver’s jersey, nobody would have noticed. -
Even if it doesn’t work for them, it sets the new price for the position on the market. THAT becomes the issue. Look at Chris Jones, the idiot Rams paid Donald 31M, the next highest paid player at the time was around 20, now 24+ is the really good player price and jones wants 27+. Yeah the cap is going up, but it’s not going up to the point where you can pay a QB 50M, a DT 27M, a DE 30M, WR1 25M, RB 13M, CB 25M etc.

Vikings Chad Greenway takes shot at Leslie Frazier defense
DCofNC replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
His results against mediocre competition was good. They fell flat on their face against better teams all too often. It was a classic example of playing not to lose, which works when you can confuse a rookie/back-up, not against real QBs. -

Time will tell, I saw nothing in pre-season that looked remotely different and the corner they drafted who plays best in man coverage, is again, getting shoved down the depth chart. I hope there’s something more aggressive coming. -

At least Watson is still young enough to have a shot at recovering a decent career on field, Russ is completely washed.

All-Pro DT Chris Jones not at Chiefs Mandatory Minicamp
DCofNC replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills don’t have anyone of value under contract at DT next year, I’ll send the Chiefs our 1 and their choice of S for him, right now. -
At this point, I’d probably be willing to play Webb over Wilson. In all seriousness though, the lesser talented guys have to learn the fine points of the game more to have any shot, so he may be an absolute wealth of knowledge.

The contracts Jerrah keeps throwing out to guys is killing this league. Now signing his RT to a 5 year, 86M+ deal, with 50M guaranteed. He continues to go over the top, for guys that are no where near the top of the league, what will he pay Parsons? The first 300M LB? The guy needs to be put out to pasture.

Gabe Davis is a 2023 Captain...let the board erupt!
DCofNC replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
He works hard, tries hard, and doesn’t act like a B word, so of the WRs, he makes sense. That said, being a captain doesn’t mean you are good. -
Hope he stole their playbook too.

In on this: 1) Kincaid- marginal rookie year, good by rookie TE standards, 60 catches, 6TDs, 550 yards. By year 3, breaks 1k, never going to be an elite blocker, but becomes a poor man’s Kelce. 2) Torrence - day one starter, remains an above average, not star level guard, long career barring injury, could be a pro-bowl player with some refinement and a decent T beside him. 3) Williams - this one I struggle with, I believe he will become a good player, BUT I also believe the league is about to shift and the power game will make a big come back, teams have gone smaller and faster, the obvious weakness is to run them over… wish the Bills would get on this train sooner than later. So, while I believe he can be a good LB, I question if he will ever have a spot on this roster, to that end, I say, good back-up, ST stand out that Bills fans want to see more of, when he gets out there, it won’t be everything they hoped for, think Gabe Northern. 4) Shorter - gone in a year 7) Broeker - might kick around the bottom of the roster of a few teams for a few years. 7) Austin - interesting guy to me, I think he finds a solid back up role somewhere around the league, kind of a Levi Wallace type.
