  1. I’m with you on this. If Ford can be at least good against the run, the DL might not be too bad. I could see it working out ok actually. Ford on running downs, and shifting Groot inside along with Oliver or Phillips on obvious pass situations, let him eat, he kills interior linemen. You can run AJE, Von, etc on the ends to create havoc. It’s not full panic on the DL YET. LB is a HUGE concern to me. I like Williams, I’m willing to wait and see and you simply cannot replace one of the best in the business mid-season, so you don’t really have a choice. Kinda interested to see if Kirksey changes his mind or if we really are going to roll with Klienability out there. CB is also a worry, but we have seen the ability to roll w out Tre before, it’s not ideal, but as long as Benford is good to go, it’s not the end of the world. They definitely got it handed to them last week.. btw Ridley for at worst a 5th and a second? Where were ya there Beaner?
  2. I’ll pass, plenty of talent at DE, desperately need an interior presence.
  3. Feliciano was also a shell of himself when he came back. As much as I’d love to have Jones back out there, not if he’s not back to himself, just not worth it. Honestly, this season is over for the SB hopes, the defense just doesn’t have the players anymore and the offense isn’t good enough to consistently cover for it. It sucks to admit it’s another year of Allen wasted, but when you lose all that talent, there is nothing you can do.
  4. Remind us all, how many SB wins has Beane gotten us?
  5. Barring major injuries, nobody is competing w the 49ers. The Bills season ended today. This was a Championship or bust season, all hopes went out the window with Milano and Jones down for the year and Dorsey still at PC for the year.
  6. Have to think you are right on that.
  7. That was an awful flag on their JA.. but man that TD is welcomed.
  8. Omg, you have to be kidding
  9. These refs are special
  10. The only way I can see the Broncos letting him go is for a gross over compensation, which might let them in the QB sweepstakes. You don’t let good young players on a cheap deal go.
  11. Having been there, it sucks the moment it happens, the moment it goes back in and about 3 days after… and then any time there’s anything that rattles the joint for about a month. If he’s playing without a shot in the joint the next 2 weeks, he’s a bad man… or it didn’t actually pop out.
  12. I don’t care what anyone says, that’s a trade I would have made in a heartbeat. He’s got talent, if this locker room is as strong as we are lead to believe, why couldn’t we take him on? He would be a decent outside WR option, of which we have exactly 2 on the roster. Low risk, stupid high reward potential.
  13. The down side, Groot is absolutely elite at run defense, AJE is borderline awful. I’d expect Lawson to get some major reps this week as Etienne is a guy that can take it to the house the minute he breaks contain. Good news, the line has depth, there’s definitely a fall off, but you are handing off responsibility to another 1st round pick, so it’s not like it’s massive gap.
  14. I don’t really expect them to make it 4, traveling across the pond to meet a team that’s been there for 2 weeks and isn’t a bad team in their own right, is a tall ask. Should they win? Yep. By 28? That’s going to be tough.
  15. Wild to me, they can’t trade him for anything. Pats or Raiders make sense.
  16. Short answer, you don’t.
  17. As long as he’s kept clean and not washed out of the play, he’s really good. Hopefully, he can get on the Milano train and add some strength without losing speed and we might have something special there.. never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d say that.
  18. Looking like it. He’s been nothing short of great thus far. I will say Van Ginkle was a bit of a menace, but overall, they have done a great job this year.
  19. I just don’t agree with your take. He’s a good #3. I’d liken him to MVS before any real #2. Through the circumstances of no legitimate competition, he owns the #2 spot. An upgrade is desperately needed and Beane knows it. He signed Sanders as a stop gap, he tried to bring in Bease and Smoke to catch lightning in a bottle last year. He was in the OBJ and D-Hop competition. It’s no secret to anybody with unbiased eyes, the Bills have no real talent at WR beyond Diggs. They have a #1 a #3 a #4-5 and a bunch of gadgets. There’s a real hole at 2. They almost had to switch the style of offense to accommodate for it and the dispersal of the ball shows it clear as day. It’s Diggs by a wide margin, then Kincaid/Davis, sprinkle in so Knox, and everyone else who happens to be on the right route for the progressions. The issue is, somebody in that Kincaid/Davis/Knox group is going to have to step up or teams will take away Diggs and our old system wasn’t going to move the ball. So far this year, we are seeing a genuine commitment to the run and the TEs are getting involved. They need some deeper patterns for the TEs to make the seams more of a trouble spot for D’s, but it’s a big change. It had to be done because you don’t have the talent to do what they were trying to force that last few years. It’s actually going to be a great change come Dec, when that vertical attack struggled.
  20. I think he is entirely a product of playing w Allen. He’s just a guy, he’s NFL talent with iffy hands. Put him with a less than great QB, nobody has heard of him. That said, the talent level at WR for the Bills gives him a chance to get more targets than he should.
  21. It’s common everywhere, familiarity play a large part in all decisions. “It’s about who you know, not what you know” is the way it goes in corporate America and it’s no different in the NFL.
  22. I’m into it, but I say flood it with AJE playing OLB and let him either come after the QB or drop into zone, make it really hard on them.
  23. It’s been working, not knocking it. I wonder if it’s not more of a save Harris for the later part of the year thing, because to my eye, he appears to be the better back, but whatever works.
  24. Yesterday wasn’t blocked up as well for him and they attacked the middle of the field with the run game. It seemed like a very conscious effort to do so with Murray in there so early. I’m a little perplexed what the coaches see in Murray that they like better than Harris, but either way, they were trying to run it the hard way and that’s really not Cook’s strong suit. He’s an animal in space, but he “needs” a hole, where the other two can pound through and make their own. I suspect when the game plan makes sense to go outside more, it will be Cook’s day, if it’s inside rushes, they probably will go with the bigger guys.
