  1. Yes, because the “level of talent faced” is a huge factor for punters 😂
  2. The contract is signed, it’s active. They are on the hook for it, can’t just say “well he’s under the rookie deal until the 4th year is over, so it doesn’t count if we trade him” Yeah, that was a God awful move, which is why I don’t understand why all these teams are in such a hurry to over pay guys. Jones, like GeNO!, had no business getting massive deals. They are adequate starters at best, you can’t pay those types and have money to spend where you need to.
  3. I would have understood it if that were his Head & Shoulder's deal, but for his play, that’s insane.
  4. The crazy part is he got multiple contracts AFTER the record setting rookie deal. May have to use some on a kicker.
  5. The Bills are just making sure :13 seconds never happens again, Coleman will run the clock out on his way to scoring.
  6. If this continues, they gotta cut bait, he cost the last loss of the season, he’s just not getting it done when it matters.
  7. I dont think Allen would have had another 1k with Hop, but I’d bet another 700 would be realistic bc Hop would have had 1k and I don’t think Diggs would have quit if they kept throwing the ball. Would it have mattered? Idk. I sure think it would have been easier on everyone if there had been another threat. My concern for this year, barring a major surprise from a couple WRs, is the D will just key in on the run and leave a safety high, basically condensing the field and making it very tough to move the ball.
  8. Every player in the NFL has potential, until they show they are somehow special, above the rest of the guys who could take their spot, they are Just A Guy. Shakir’s very best stats are still reflective of a nobody. Yes he has POTENTIAL to be something, has not done it yet. I can’t tell you how many times I posted this about Davis and everyone sited 225 yards in the playoff game. It’s great, love it, BUT do it consistently in a prime role, that’s a different level. Shakir hasn’t done anything of substance YET, maybe he will, but there are a ton of guys who have done more than him out there and you would be sure they are a JAG if they weren’t basically the only hope for your team.
  9. Agree to disagree on this one. I like Shakir and have great hopes for him, but he didn’t win playing time in his first 1.5 seasons. You can blame whoever you want, but the fact is, he couldn’t get on the field and didn’t make a huge difference when he did. Did he show some promise at the end of last year? Yes. Have a million guys done the same thing, even for Buffalo and never became more than a splash in the pan? Yep. So AT THIS JUNCTURE, he’s a JAG until he proves otherwise. People were convinced Davis was going to be a #1 after the back half of 2022, we saw that play out. There were delusions around here that Robert Foster could be traded for a 1st round pick after his ~4 game eruption, etc. I get it, we are all fans, we all like our guys, but let’s not put the cart before the horse. There is an argument for Samuel being a high end JAG, he’s had some success, but if he were special, you wouldn’t have gotten him here for way less than Gabe Davis money. Just be real with yourself on that. His contract tells you what the league thinks, regardless of our feelings. ALL that said, JA has elevated everyone around him, I expect him to do the same for both these guys and the volume they get SHOULD make their numbers good this year. You are cherry picking one extremely trivial stat, based on about 6 games of real action. It’s a WRs job to catch a ball. What did his catches actually do for the team is another question. He looked pretty good in a 4th/5th option tile last year, but ya know what that makes you? A JAG, because a big time player isn’t a 4th or 5th option and you can’t argue the fact that Diggs, Kincaid and Cook were options ahead of him and Davis really was more of a target than him until he found himself in the dog house late in the year (rightfully so). I think Shakir has a lot of potential, but it looks like he will be asked to be the #2 WR this year unless the rookie can jump in and start and I just don’t see that happening. I hope I’m wrong on all accounts, Coleman is an instant star, Shakir goes off for 80 catches and Samuel becomes Debo. That would be amazing. I just think we are more likely to see a similar situation to what KC dealt with early in the year last season with TEs leading the way, relying on the run game and hoping for WRs to make some timely catches vs the greatest show on turf.
  10. I could see potentially trading some linemen away on either side for late round picks. Also wouldn’t shock me to see them go after a corner or WR if one became available.
  11. No, realistically they are the definition of Just A Guy at this point in their careers. Nothing special at all. I like them both, but they haven’t proven to be anything more than JAGs at this point and they really haven’t even done as much as Gabe Davis did to make people believe he was special.
  12. I’ve been out of the loop for a game since Covid, what’s to be expected to pay for “good” seats? Im seeing 300 levels for ~200, and lower level in the mid field area over 600, is that the new normal? I want good seats, just don’t want to over spend.
  13. The Eagles have a stacked roster and have done a great job drafting, I envy their position. That said, they haven’t won anymore than Buffalo and I don’t care about excuses, show me results. As far as saying it was done in the past, that’s all well and good, but nobody in this era has paid a QB and a WR big money and done anything. I don’t see a team outside of Philly that could do it.
  14. The problem becomes, every guy that gets paid is going to be the new highest, this is why Dak wants 60MM and nobody regards him as the best there is. Now Chase, Lamb and probably somebody I’m nothing thinking of will immediately try to get more and will come out with higher averages at the expense of guaranteed money. Higgins will probably get 30 now. It’s stupid and unsustainable. You MIGHT get one year where it all comes together with a top QB and WR getting paid together and still have enough left to keep said QB up right and money left over to field an extremely young D, that can hold together enough to win. That said, nobody has done it yet. I don’t think anybody will either. Mahomes is winning with nobodies and a better D. The Eagles can’t beat SF. SF is set up to dump their #1 WR so they can pay their QB, etc. I don’t care, you can’t tie up 80+MM in 2 guys on one side of the ball and still have enough talent everywhere to win it all. It will take a fluke, along with outstanding drafting and insane luck along with way to make it happen.
  15. Maybe we just call him what he is “fast Gabe Davis with Josh Allen throwing”
  16. It’s already established. Mapletron.
  17. Give it time…
  18. I’d bet his play in the Pro Bowl is a big reason he’s not here. Amazing how good he looked out there.
  19. The cash flow depends on the purchase price vs the rent, you won’t be able to finance something that’s not going to cash flow, so that part is pretty safe bet. Either way, the tax shelter is the real play here.
  20. Yeah, and you outlay all the cash to have it pay you back slowly or you buy 10 houses with 10% down, for the same money, have 10 houses cash flowing, 10 houses to claim depreciation against and 10x the tax shelter. You don’t understand the investment in real estate game. There are massive tax considerations you aren’t thinking about with the real estate vs stock investment. Both have their place, but for a high earning employee, there’s a very good reason to take on investment properties for tax shelter.
  21. Stats say he’s “special”, reality says he’s a paper Tiger. These are the EXACT type of players you let walk and go get paid stupidly somewhere else. He’s not a difference maker, outside of the drops he had that cost us in big moments. He’ll be RB 2 here by mid-season and this won’t even be a debate.
  22. Well, that settles it, you can not have a QB and a WR 1 on the same team.
  23. The kid is easy to root against, he’s a pompous ass bag. I find myself hating on him for no reason. It wouldn’t be a shock to me if NONE of the QBs taken in the first round this year amount to anything. Time will tell and when he gains a bit of humility Williams will be easier to tolerate.
  24. This year is big for Herbert in my eyes, right now he looks like what he was in college, a physical specimen, hyped up, loser. Maybe it’s all been about a bad team around him, or maybe, that’s who he is.
  25. Wow man, just tell us all you have no idea what you are watching.
