  1. I think Po is about cooked. Hyde, when healthy, is still really good. As a pair, I’d take them back; however, if Hyde goes, I’m dumping Po too.
  2. Let’s be real, Davis is not fast when he’s healthy, he’s only a deep threat because he is the guy they would rather have run straight vs try to nuanced tree. Shakir and Harty can both do more than him as a WR, blocking, well that’s better with the big body. The other consideration, exactly how many times does anyone think we are “going deep” in the middle of January in Buffalo? Honestly, Davis is not a big loss and it might well be a net gain to get the more explosive guys on the field. No offense to Davis, but I don’t think he scores the way Shakir did last week. Shakir was absolutely electric in college and has found his sea legs in the pros, he should get more touches and has been earning them. I know this is Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early, but I think the kid can be a Diggs-type WR for us next year and beyond. I’m not saying he’s going to be a 100 catch guy, but he got similar size and skills to Diggs and looks like he can do a little of everything, kind of like Diggs. Given the opportunity, I think he can actually do considerably more than Davis if he’s pressed into the #2 role.
  3. Really hope he’s not actually playing, dude is sooooooo slow to punt, can’t afford a block.
  4. Dooooo it and make sure it’s heavy in signing bonus so you can’t cut him without a massive cap hit later.
  5. There are none, he’ll be competing in a trading camp next season, maybe here.
  6. With pain killers, a lot of things are possible.
  7. Really need some play action from under the center, it’s so telegraphed.. again
  8. Glad Williams is available, at least there’s someone with actual physical abilities left.
  9. Wondering if Ariza is on the phone right now..
  10. I’m going to take the positive side of this, if it was turned into a situation where McClappy wouldn’t allow a pass bc of the wind, we were likely to struggle. At least now, the offense shouldn’t be as impacted. This should be better for us.
  11. It’s bull ***** to make a game exclusive to another pay service, if I wasn’t already on the hook for the subscription to watch the Bills game, I would just say screw it.
  12. Ha! If he were interested in coming to Buffalo, McD should be fired before the game on Sunday to make room. One is arguably the greatest coach in history (though a lousy GM) and the other is a never has been…
  13. This. Gabes targets go primarily to Kincaid, and Shakir gets some more opportunities, which is a good thing IMO.
  14. I would much prefer Douglas to any alternative, but there’s also no less scary passing team than the Steelers, so that’s a bonus.
  15. This is also true. Gabe seems to have a knack for being in the wrong place at the right time. the fix is obvious, keep Davis where he was for the 2nd half of the Phins game and he’s good.
  16. Calling it here, eliminates by the Rams.
  17. I think Davis is a “soldier mind”, meaning he can do exactly what he’s told to do, when he should do it. The second it comes to making his own decision, problem. I thought he could be more than he is, but we basically have a slower MVS. I’m sending Beane a copy of Frozen and labeling it from Gabe.
  18. I think you are. It was a blitz, the hot route typically turns inside, quicker throw opportunity. I’m not sure why JA assumed he was going to settle down at the top of the route and that means maybe we are both wrong.
  19. Well if that’s the case, this is going to be an old school battle of run and stop the run.
  20. Love it. I’m torn on who I want to win that one, beating a team 3x in a year is a tall task, but Mahomes is always dangerous. Kelce apparently retired mid -season and didn’t notify anyone though.
  21. Tua is basically Chad Pennington (pre-injury). That’s not a bad thing per se, but it requires him to have a perfect set of circumstances to make it work. You know, eventually, if you press him and he can’t drive a ball you will have a chance to take it away. He’s a better decision maker than JA, but Allen is so much better physically, he can do shtuff others can’t. I wouldn’t pay a guy like Tua, you have to have talent around him to make him great, not the other way around, if you drop 50 M a year, you’ll find yourself in trouble. Fields is a whole different debate. Are we watching the 2019 version of Allen right now? Or are we watching big Tyrod? Tough spot to be in for the Bears. They never gave the kid a supporting cast, their organization is run like a circus monkey is making decisions, for his sake, I hope he goes to ATL and we see what he can be w talent around him.
  22. So… next week?
  23. I’d be with you, BUT Gabe is the target on a disproportionate percentage of the interceptions. Allen doesn’t have these problems with literally anyone else. Now he makes some bad throws, balls get tipped or whatever when he’s throwing to other guys, but when he throws to Davis there is a MUCH higher chance it’s going to go wrong. To me, that says, Davis is not on the same page and he’s the only one, so it’s not JA that’s the issue. We all know which one is staying, and which one we can all hope signs with the Chiefs. wtf are you taking about with Marvin Harrison? He was a 1st round pick, and had ELITE skills, not to mention was perfectly in tune with Peyton.
  24. I agree that Davis got to the top of his route and then changed to get better position, but Josh can’t just throw blindly. I 100% put it on Davis for the Eagles, but this one, he did what he’s supposed to do, work to the middle. He was covered at the top of the route, under blitz, he’s supposed to work to the middle. Josh is not infallible, he’s single handedly tried to blow many games for us, he’s also won a lot w crazy greatness.
