  1. That one hurts, Watkins did look like Julio Jones 2.0, so I get the idea, hard to know he was going to be a lazy bum though. Evans turned out to be amazing, would have been a great pick. OBJ was also very good for quite a while, wouldn’t have minded that pick either, but alas, we took the one guy who busted. The fact they wasted the pick on EJ was the worst. Stupid ole coot Buddy forced a pick and we got nothing for it. If you are confident in trading DOWN for your franchise QB, don’t take that dude.
  2. I’m really between option 1 and 2, I think he’s a punk ass in decline.
  3. Allen and Milano are the only ones on this team. Kincaid could be one, Cook has that potential. Diggs never was. He’s like Tre White, productive, but never scared anyone with physical ability to gut you.
  4. The obvious move here is to package next year’s #1 to go up this year. You will still have 2 second round picks next year so you can get into the bottom of the first again if you want or you could just look for value there in the second. I could see a scenario where they try to get to say 12 or so with this years first and next years or add some more to go up higher. A player trade generally will be done before the draft so everyone knows the cap consequences prior to any moves, so if it doesn’t happen soon, it’s not happening. My guess is they are hoping one of the WRs they like gets to ~10 and they can go get him. I would guess, without looking at the chart as a guide, you are giving up this years first, next years first, the comp pick for Edmunds and something else to get up there. If it’s for Nabers, sign me up.
  5. Oh no, the only way he proves it’s him is if everyone including Kincaid prove to be complete busts. The rest of the world is convinced “Diggs made Allen”, but if they get a rookie who puts up numbers and shows out as a true #1, the narrative will be that WR is a stud and Allen kicked out again. Forget the fact he’s made Diggs, Brown and Beasley have their best years ever, but yeah, it’s all Diggs. I think Allen is going to have to shoulder a little more this year, and he best come in ready. That said, he has the chance to show the world what we all know, this is his team, he IS the Alpha dog of the team and the arguably the league.
  6. I look at Nacua last year and wonder how he dropped, Jefferson was late round 1, etc. those are just lately.
  7. Why not just up the charge for season tickets? Instead of saying a seat costs $200, charge $400? This is really what’s happening. My theory, it locks people in more mentally this way AND it recovers the money quicker, plus when people lose money selling the tickets they can kind of mentally justify that it was a long term investment vs losing their ass on meaningless games on Dec. when nobody wants to go sit and freeze. To me, these charges are insaneLu high, but I guess they will take what they can.
  8. I call BS on this theory, he had the team under his management for more than half the season, with the bye week, I don’t buy him not being able to teach professional players to tun the same concepts out of a few different looks. What is practice for after training camp? Just re-running all the same stuff for 20 weeks? I doubt that.
  9. Yeah man, he’s got this roster STACKED with stars at so many positions, the critics here need to chill.
  10. She gets to be whatever she wants to be now, she’s making more than JA’s current GF lol.
  11. Right, it’s like posting pictures w their GF, doesn’t mean they aren’t hooking up w bartenders.
  12. Hope you are wrong, but do have a slight fear you are right.
  13. Allen is top 2 in the eyes of Buffalo fans. It’s debatable, that’s for darn sure. Outside of Buffalo, many have him as a top 7 guy. He’s physically dominant, but the mental errors are killer. Obviously the National narrative is around the turnovers. That said, I think he IS missing the mental edge on the game. He has t made great decisions with the ball the last two years. He’s trying to win games physically, that’s not going to last. I am sure he’s working out etc, but I hope this off-season he really works on the mental aspect of the game and tries to find a better balance of caution vs aggressively going for it all on every possession. When he finds that middle ground, he has proven to be unreal. The problem is, too often, he’s either taking all the short passes and not running through wide open lanes or is attempting to drag the entire team to the end zone on his back. There needs to be a middle. Mahomes is so great because he sits in that zone most of the time. Allen is behind him because he’s super hot or super cold most of the time.
  14. If you waste a first round pick on a player you plan to not start and rotate in for less than 50% of defensive snaps, it should be grounds for immediate firing.
  15. Absolutely. I don’t even want him as a primary backup, much less a starter. He’s basically a smaller Kiko Alonso, reckless, undisciplined and will kill his own teammates to make an unnecessary roughness hit on a receiver.
  16. If that’s the case we also need a starting SS.
  17. I saw some Seattle fans touching themselves over the PFF numbers, claiming he’s better than Fred Warner. They are in for a Boogie sized disappointment.
  18. Breaking news, Russ requests his release 😂
  19. No it failed miserably with Edmunds, his market value was less than they paid for the 5th year option and worse, he outperformed it and then cost 35% more, so much so they had to let him walk. Either you extend or you franchise, you don’t lock yourself into a high risk low reward situation of the 5th year, it’s stupid.
  20. Far more likely to trade down imo, though Beane does seem to force picks, not let it come to him, so a small move up could happen.
  21. Yeah..40 years ago.
  22. I’d be ALL about it if he will take an incentive based deal with a decent signing bonus. Like 2 years, 3M signing bonus, vet min this year and void next year. Play w Allen, boost your value and hope for the best.
  23. You should NOT be signing any 5th year options. Ever. The difference between that and a franchise tag is minimal and it gives you ZERO flexibility to do anything. You either extend or ride it out. If you get a case like Edmunds, it buys you one more year at more than he was worth before the year, and then departing or you get somebody like EO who never answered if he was worth an extension, so you had to gamble anyway. If they had just extended Edmunds, he would have been worth ~ 2/3 of what he got paid, you allowed him to re-set his market. 5th year is nothing but a bargaining chip for teams, if the guy is t worth an extension, you ride it out, if he is, sign it before they add more dollars to that contract. Don’t screw around. It’s fools gold.
  24. I would love to have him, fixes the return issue along with a vet for the slot. I’d prefer Shakir WIN the job, but I don’t want anything handed to anyone on this roster. Gabe Davis taking the job by default was bad enough, don’t need to watch that again.
