  1. Yes, single length irons all the way.
  2. Pretty hard to deny that the plan wasn’t working and the Bills recognized it and did something about it. Otherwise the trade is just to keep him away from KC and that’s a pretty big waste of a pick.
  3. His issue is not having a strong leg, he’s got plenty of distance, he just couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat in the ocean right now.
  4. Isn’t it obvious? He’s SO versatile, they have to keep him on the bench at all times so they have a back up to every position. It’s like that OL from a couple years back.
  5. Let’s see if they actually use him or if Mc Clappy is too scared to have him run decoy routes or if he’s gonna make him watch and learn most of the game.
  6. Spot on. I don’t think this trade is the cure for the Bills, more likely it keeps JA from getting killed bc the defense can’t just smother the line of scrimmage every play. That alone is worth the cost. Once you make it to the playoffs, anything can happen. I have zero thoughts in my mind of this being a legit SB team this year, but at least there is a shot in hell now.
  7. Thats pretty optimistic. They have to win 8 of 11. I understand the schedule is weak, but you are talking about a broken down 40 yr old QB behind a bottom 10 OL and a team so dysfunctional they fired the coach after 5 games..
  8. Those are really all balls that should be caught, have to believe he just wasn’t that into it. Hope it’s better when he gets here and sees the opportunity to cash in big.
  9. But Damar is and he’s not a starter
  10. The offense has been ok against teams that are getting smoked on D every game, so I’m really not reading much into that. The teams you have to beat in the playoffs, there’s been a real struggle.
  11. Did he? Seems as though Dorsey’s scheme isn’t working in Cleveland either. Daboll did, Dorsey left too much to the WRs and caused confusion.
  12. While I’m not 100% with you, I think your points have a lot of merit. To that end, why can other teams scheme to player strengths and we continue to try to force a scheme to work regardless of the pieces? It’s beyond infuriating to know what JA CAN DO, then watch this JV scheme struggle to move the ball.
  13. That depends on the contract. He’s a quality starter and there’s nobody on the roster to replace him, so unless Elam magically finds the field (wtf is going on there?), you create another hole that’s not that easy to fill. I’d be looking to resign him at a reasonable rate. This coming season you have to replace Von, well do you? I don’t miss him already.. but you need QB pressure. Jones is aging out and potentially gone. Still in need of 2 starting safeties unless Bishop figures it out. You may need to consider a Milano replacement or roll with a mediocre committee there. That’s enough holes to fill on D and you still need at least a WR (or resigning Cooper if it works out, either way $$$). There’s a lot of holes to fill a limited budget, so you can’t be dumb, but I wouldn’t look to create another hole at a premium position just for the sake of change.
  14. That just shows how good they could be if they had decent receivers. Josh lights you up when he can go first read, but he has literally the worst group of WRs in the league to work with, proven by the fact he has to work off his first read far more than anyone else, so he can’t go to the highest percentage play almost half the time. Put another way, the players are so mediocre, they force the QB to go to the back up routes, ie the less effective play option nearly half the time. Taken from another POV, Brady has failed to adjust to his personnel and continues to scheme plays that don’t work so Josh has to go to the back up routes half the time. Anyway you look at it, these players and this scheme are not working. Allen is having to do more than any other QB in the league to make it work.
  15. He has everything to play for. He’s a guy that the league has questions about right now. He’s older, looks like he “quit” on the Browns and has had the dropsies. If that continues he’ll be on a series of one year low to mid tier contracts for another couple seasons and done. If he comes here and balls out, he’s going to get PAID. The rest of this season is incredibly valuable to his future contract. He could make as much as 30M (realistically closer to 20M bc of his age) a year for 2-3 years OR be struggling to make 10M a year w little guaranteed on one year deals. This is huge for him. He’s in the same spot as OBJ, Hopkins etc where he’s got talent, but the age concern is there and he has to prove he’s still legit to get his money. OBJ went the way of the Dodo bird on one year deals, Hop got underpaid but still got good money for 2 years and a chance to swing at FA again. Difference for both of them, they went where they have awful QBs and hurt their production. Hop should have come here for 1 year vs going to TN and he would have made 30M again this year with ~40+ in future guarantees, but he only saw the quick money..
  16. I hope it’s a bunch of coach speak, but he HAMMERED the point. It really sounded like he’s butt hurt over Beane admitting the O is a disaster.
  17. The games don’t matter, it’s the lack of time in the system that’s a concern, especially with McDummy making it a point to tell us all not to expect anything from him before he gets here. I won’t be shocked if he see the field less than Hollins for the remainder of the year. The comp pick is a fair point, but if Edmunds didn’t get us a 3rd, I find it very unlikely Cooper will.
  18. The value issue is his age and he is here for 11 games. Thats a lot to give up for less than a one season rental. The contract is what makes it “worth” it. It’s a gamble to win now, just hope it works. Yeah for 20+M a year FYI
  19. This has to be it, the Browns knew they had the only WR that would fit on most any team with that contract, I’m sure they took more than the Bills calls. On paper, it’s way too much for him, but the reality is, nobody cares if he’s the spark the O needs. If you listen to McClappy, he won’t see the field and certainly won’t be getting in over guys he trusts lol. If that clown won’t use the new weapon, he needs to be shown the door.
  20. Seriously, what the literal F was that? If he doesn’t see the field for 3 weeks, don’t be shocked. If he doesn’t, just fire McClappy.
  21. Like it or not, the reason is simple. They aren’t throwing the ball nearly as much and every other stat line is drastically off his normal too. This is a case of the team taking the ball out of their best player’s hands and limiting his ability to be what makes him special. I’m happy he’s protecting the ball, but this offense is a joke. It’s the same garbage theory as the defense, they simply play safe and hope the other team misses an assignment. Look what happens when they play a real D, they look like a high school team out there. Imagine for a minute how bad this scheme really has to be to make Josh Allen 19th in passing yards. You have a HoF QB and the coaches want to lean on the other team missing assignments vs letting the QB be a QB.
  22. His numbers were comparable to Cook and Johnson looks the same, so they must all just be replacement level guys that thrive in Brady’s system. If you think about it, Cook didn’t arrive until Brady did, it’s gotta be true. I honestly thought Davis would over take Cook as the starter by about mid-season, Cook has really balled out, so that’s not going to happen, but I do think we’ll be seeing more of Davis than we have and Cook won’t be re-signed.
  23. The mismanagement of personnel is bordering on criminal.
