  1. That's a giant if to start with. Secondly, this is AT BEST a wild card team, if they get lucky (again). The defense is good, but its essentially the same one that couldn't handle playing 40 minutes a game last year, so pump the brakes, nothing happens unless the offense can do their part. So you would purpose not getting better because there isnt a roster without a lot of holes on it?
  2. You are kidding, right? No holes? WR is a giant one, DE, jury is still out, but just because the OL is better than the puddle it was, doesn't mean its good. TE is a question mark, LBs are weak for depth.. this isn't a playoff team and you dont know where they are going to spend money?
  3. One worked, the other didn't. Mayfield also can do no wrong in the eyes of ths media. Hell it was celebrated when he ripped a beer can open with his teeth and chugged it on the jumbotron.. That would have gotten him shamed for days if he were virtually anyone else.
  4. But you can Franchise him next year, so theres pretty solid leverage to hold on him.
  5. Not only that, the Patriots don't take on guys with less than All-Pro talent if they cause trouble. Its kinda awesome to watch... except they continue to curb stomp the Bills. Im with you, I'd send Lawson and a 4th for him. Nothing against Shaq, but I doubt hes here next year anyway, or maybe I should say, it doesn't matter if he is.
  6. You can franchise him, so he's yours, like it or not. Not saying id do it, but you can lock him down.
  7. I feel like we will see an 8-8 team.. my expectation is Allen is good enough to keep you in a few you shouldn't be and lose a few you should win.
  8. Interested to see how Johnson performs in his absence, hopefully there are too many starters for too few spots out there.
  9. Wade is a free PS member and he's going there. Clearly they were excited to get him "a few touches" the first of which was a monster run, after he almost fumbled. He's nowhere near ready, not even close. My suspicion is you will see Shady and Singletary basically alternate and Gore will be the thumper/change of pace guy. I don't see Yeldon making the team, unless they are going to do it purely based on next year's roster. I just don't see it. I think they had little intention of drafting a back this year and it happened to fall the best guy on their board was Singletary. I can't say yet if I see what they see in him, I don't see the burst to be a good starter in the NFL, but he could prove me wrong. Either way, no ST play from Yeldon and the fact hes not all that special anyway, leads me to think he's going to get caught in the numbers, barring an injury or trade of course. I could see them pulling a late round pick out of him or Gore for that matter. The other guys are effective and valueable elsewhere, its unlikely you are going to get much out of a 4th RB when you have 2 HOF players and a highly regarded rookie in front of them, so they better play ST. Next year Wade has to stick or he's done, 29 yrs old and don't have the skill set down? You are done. He looks like he could be a helluva return guy, so maybe he has some value there too.
