  1. Really hope the interview prep doesn’t impact Dabs game prep.
  2. Stole my prediction! Ok, this is really more of a hope. Ideal scenario is KC getting taken out before we get to them. They are the clear favorite, I do think all 3 teams that could end up in KC present the biggest mismatch opportunity for them, I would ideally like to see Tenn take them out. The Bills will have to sell out to stop the run and leave Tre on an island, but it’s his time to shine, go get us to the Super Bowl kid. For this to happen, Bills have to beat the Colts, which I know isn’t a given, but the amount of people that think the Colts have a great chance to pull the upset, tells me we spank them this week. Then Pitt has to beat the Browns, which I think they will do with their starters playing. I believe with their injury issues the Steelers will be a tough, but manageable out for the Bills. They then have to deal with the Titans, which is the worst matchup for them IMO. The “good” part is its at home and in conditions where you have to feel better about selling out to stop the run.
  3. Nobody else has managed to stay on Diggs, I don’t see a run of the mill fringe starter having any luck.
  4. The key tomorrow is stop the run. So to me Edmunds is huge, he has to keep Dillon in check, meet him in the hole and stand his ground. The O goes where Josh takes them, Brown will have a big first half.
  5. Singletary has been uninspiring this year at best. Moss should see the bulk of the action, I’m not sure what the obsession with Singletary, he’s a fringe NFL player who’s only value is in small uses.
  6. This is where I’m at with him, he can make you miss in a phone booth, but isn’t fast enough to get out the door before you tackle him. To me, he’s a fringe player at best and a wasted 3rd round pick.
  7. Then you get a guy like Antonio Gates, so it’s really just a matter of how quick he “gets it”, if he ever does.
  8. I doubt it, but if it was my call, yes he gets the nod. I’d bench Singletary and use Moss as starter and Williams as the hammer.
  9. I don’t think they beat WFT, Logan Thomas has his revenge first, Brady is in Trouble.
  10. I think the passer rating thing is over blown, his completion percentage is up, you have to take shorter shots. You can’t play real zone D in the red zone, there’s only so far you can allow a guy to get without giving up a TD so of course man coverage has more TDs and if you are dumb enough to sit in a soft zone, he will hand it off or run it himself. You can’t close as fast as they can get to the end zone. He’s been great against both, as long as he brings his patience with him, there’s not a lot you can do. The great QBs you simply have to find a way to give them a new look or break trend, and pressure them, then hope for the best. I never thought I’d be referring to Josh as a great QB, but he’s earned that this year. As long as he plays within himself, there’s nobody better. He’s quite possibly the most complete athlete we have ever seen at QB and the way he’s playing from the pocket, it’s exciting. For ~25 years now, I have been wondering what it felt like to have a qb where you could say, “I’m not worried, we still have a great chance.” How sweet it is.
  11. You could see he was a little “off” last week, def not as explosive out of breaks, I thought it was more to do with him taking it a little easy, but this makes sense. His face was not lit up like usual, I bet he was feeling it pretty good out there. That said, not real worried as there is no way he won’t be out there, juiced up and ready to go for Indy. The guy is a gamer.
  12. My point is, Hill would have been laid out after running by somebody, no way they would let it keep happening. The bigger man used to win, now it’s the shiftiest guy. They would never have let him off the line in the 80s and if he got there a Ditka type would have laid him out for something to do.
  13. The game is way softer today than it ever was, the really big hits are gone, it allows for the smaller track runners to play. In the 90’s Tyreek Hill wouldn’t have made it out of OTAs, today he’s a star. This team is built well for today’s game and that’s all that matters.
  14. Would have loved for him to get his 1k, but such is life. Hope he’s out there this week, if not at least for the next round. I don’t think they “need” him to beat Indy, but it sure makes life easier. Though mad props to Brown and McKenzie yesterday, really good games for both working inside and out.
  15. I would actually have no issue with that, his offenses continue to work in today’s game.
  16. He can be a protected player.
  17. Thank you for laying it out.
  18. There’s some logic!
  19. I doubt the Phins take a QB, but I would consider it if one I like is there. Tua refuses to throw down field unless somebody is wide open. They spent the #5 pick on a less athletic Tyrod.
  20. Obviously, but with zero visits, who thinks he had a whole lot of options other than not getting paid?
  21. I feel that 4/5 match up are the two teams that have the best shot at pulling an upset in the bracket overall. I’d much rather they take on KC than Buffalo. Pitt is pretty banged up and has been playing horribly, all that is out the window in the Playoffs, but I’d take them over dealing w the run game of either Tenn/Balt.
  22. I’m really just puzzled why they waited until now to sign him, that’s what kills me. He could have been here working in games fir a month and NOW, you go get him? I don’t like it. He’s a better option than 99% of people you could go get in the open market, but again, why not earlier? I read this as an emergency use only signing. I can’t see him being on the same page w Josh enough to make it worth putting him out there in the biggest games of the year. I want my boys that have been around all year to be the ones getting crucial looks.
  23. Cleveland has the talent, when it clicks they are good, most of the time, meh.
  24. They have $34MM guaranteed to him next year and trading or cutting him would be a $59MM cap hit.. it hurts less to pay him to stay home than it does to let him go. After next year they can be out for a $24MM cap hit. The only way to do something is a huge contract rework. They would have to convert next years salary and roster bonus to signing bonus, so while they would have to pay him out $25MM immediately, they would be able to defer the cap hit by dividing the guarantees up over 2 years by then designating him a Post June 1st cut. So while they would still take a huge hit, it would be more “manageable”. It really depends on how desperate they are to get him out of there.
