Convince me that the 2020 Pats are good...

Falcons waive Takk McKinley (claimed by Raiders)
DCofNC replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t think he fills much of a need and I don’t really think he’s worth the headache. I’d bet he clears waivers, then probably heads to SF, they need help due to injuries. -
Is the Bills window smaller than thought?
DCofNC replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The cap is expected to shrink next year. Teams that have huge contracts for 1 to 2 players are going to have a lot of turn over this coming offseason. The Chiefs will definitely be one of them, lots of mega deals handed out without concern of the cap ever shrinking. You should/almost have to see teams like the Chiefs, Cowboys, Rams, etc dumping a lot of talent to fit under the cap and in a lot of cases it’s really going to sting because they have so many big contracts that’s are immovable. They will have to gut the roster of role players all over the place because cutting the big names will save little if anything for them. to the OP, the window gets tighter as soon as the rookie deal is off. That said, the one thing Beane did that’s pretty genius, is sign a ton of contracts that end the same year as Allen’s rookie deal. Basically, he freed up a ton of cap space for Josh is that was the right way to go, or to dump everything and start over if Josh washed out. I think it’s pretty safe to say, barring injury, Josh is going to get PAID. He looks the part of a franchise guy, and has drastically brought down the level/number of mistakes/issues that made everyone question of that was the case. -
Bradshaw is, was and always will be a joke. His comments pre-game yesterday proved that. No consideration of the weather, game plan, etc. , just Josh Allen is back to his old form, inaccurate blah blah blah. I have dealt with a shoulder injury, not claiming to be any sort of expert, but it screws with everything you do, much less trying to go out and play QB in the NFL. I have no inclination to think it didn’t have an effect on him throwing the ball. All that said, Josh had a really good day yesterday and yes it came against a poor D, but he actually executed. He missed one play where the announcers pointed out he had a chance to go to Beasley underneath and get a first down and I don’t recall who it was, but on the same side of the field there was a guy who was open deep. He hesitated and got taken down and the series was over. That was about the only “bad” play he had. Yesterday was very encouraging. Next week the D will be much stronger, hopefully he brings the same game and can put up points again. Also for the love of God I hope they spy Murry, he’s obnoxiously fast.

What happened to the running game & establishing it????
DCofNC replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh looked like he was playing in practice out there, it was unbelievably easy in the first quarter. The one thing I’m happy about is they didn’t take a 14pt lead and pack it in and decide to run the clock out. Seattle would have beaten them if they had. It was about time for this O to go into attack mode and not back out of it. -
Ya only 12 yards wide was way better.

Garrett Gilbert QB Dallas Cowboys

Pretty solid performance today! -
I think Lee should essentially be out there as a Spy on Russ. He’s not going to be much use elsewhere yet if ever, but he’s faster than Klein and it doesn’t waste Poyer.

the Skins ended up with a QB though..

Well damn, no reason to watch the rest of this year I suppose. -
Your Buffalo Bills Linebackers
DCofNC replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, not a single NFL starter on the list, unreal. -
Lee might be useful as a Spy on Wilson and let him fly sideline to sideline on the underneath patterns if and only if Russ has let the ball go. Carroll is no fool, this team is easy to run against and if you get into third and long there will be wide open field for the QB to run, might as well let Wilson take the high percentage run rather than passing. He’s only good for 70% of passes, a while running is a 100% sure thing to gain the yards vs the Bills this year. The only saving grace in it all was a fumble last week and that’s the only time the Bills have “stopped” a QB from getting the first down, even though Cam had it, he got caught off guard.

I honestly think Harbaugh has sincere mental issues, that’s no joke. I believe he’s a pretty good coach, but just watching him in the public eye, I can’t imagine how bad it is when the doors are closed. I bet he registers on the schizophrenic scale somewhere. All that said, I think NY is a great choice for him. It’s really a no lose scenario, if he fails, how could anybody win with that mess? If he turns it around, he’s the Savior. It’s almost perfect and a huge market to capitalize on. Houston also offers a similar appeal. Personally, I’d take Houston if I had a choice, but the hero potential in NY is way higher. Looking at the injuries and who he’s running out there, I’d argue it takes great coaching to even be in the games they are barely losing.

You don’t have to bench that many, 5 linemen, QB = 6, 5 skill positions left. 2 TE, 2 WR, Rb. Or Spread it out 2TE, 3 WR. Or power football 2 TE, 2 RB and a WR. There are plenty of options. You act as if everyone on this team is a difference maker. The only real talent at the skill position is at WR. The only game breakers are Diggs (who’s really more of the steady contribution guy), Brown and Knox. Nobody else is a threat for chunk yardage. He has been solid to slightly above average, just what we had hoped to see when he signed here. His biggest issue has been availability. For a small stretch here, he’s been healthy and playing well. -

The WRs are fine in that order and nobody else is really missed in terms of big play ability, so it’s all moot. -
This Bill is my 'secret' MVP for the 1st half of the season

Did you decide to exclude the Titans game? Roberts the return man can be on the list, Roberts as a WR is a Daboll brain fart. -
Minus Wilson going down between now and Sunday, this is a loss.
-
knowing and executing are totally different. I remember watching him in TC, he literally threw a sideline pass into the VIP tent, no pressure, no reason, just completely whiffed. He’s got a ton of physical potential, but he was absolutely horrrible.
-
I kinda see 2 paths for him, Tannehill or Locker. Not sure which one, kinda looks more like Locker.
-
Takes away their best weapon, though he has t been as dangerous this year, good break for the Bills.

Bad weather expected for Sunday

Oh I know, I got kicked off when I first joined for telling the truth in a rather Trump like way. I realized there are a lot of sensitive flowers here. -
