  1. Hence my “tie breaker” comment.
  2. This exactly. The only chance is if he gets traded next year, bombs with the new team, becomes a journeyman who’s desperate for a job and Josh recruits him here so they can hang out. Absolutely ZERO chance he’s here next year.
  3. They ALMOST have it locked up too because they would have to beat a team and lose a tie breaker to miss him. I hope he goes back to school for another year. He already had Covid, what better pick up line than “Hey baby, Next year I’m going to be the first pick in the draft and I already have Covid Antibodies, no social distancing needed, wanna ________?”
  4. Murray is an accurate Mike Vick, until he gets hurt he’s gonna be really tough to deal with. As a pure QB, Allen is better. As a football player, they both offer a dynamic option, Murray can kill you in a few more ways, not to discount Josh as a runner, but he’s not in Murray’s class.
  5. Agreed, he looks much faster vs his college days. I think he is going to end up in a hybrid OLB/DE role, unless he is able to regain the weight and keep the explosiveness of course.
  6. To me, it makes sense for him to get interest from: Indy - Rivers is old, Brissett will leave N.O. - Breese is starting to crack TB- Tawmmy is on a 2 year deal, need replacement Chi - QB hell there Steelers - Ben is up there too, especially if they win it all this year, could see him retiring. Jax- The Stache is pretty average it appears. Was- no explanation needed. NE- future SF- Jimmy G replacement Thats quite a few possibilities.
  7. Man, I don’t think I’d sink a first into him, but I see your point. That’s a pretty huge Risk V Reward play. For me, too much, I’m in for a 2nd at most. The injuries are far too often for me to be comfortable with it.
  8. I think Darnold would draw at least a 3rd for anybody who wanted to see what they could do with him. Think of all the guys on the back end of their careers out there, bring Darnold in, see what he has, if he’s got it, let him play, or take over, you have one year on the cheap anyway, then you know it’s going to be a prove it deal, odds are higher at retention if he knows the system and has a better shot to rebuild his value.
  9. That was not a trade and in fairness to the Raiders, they got the best years of his career, but I’m sure they didn’t think he was going to keep being a factor for another 5 years. Darnold, in theory has at least 10 years left, it really all hinges on health and development obviously. As of this moment, he has not taken the jump you want to see in a 3rd year guy, but with that team and the injuries, I would not be comfortable writing him off yet. The last thing I would do is let the Pats have him.
  10. It’s all price dependent, but he’s not the problem with the D, he’s also not the long term solution. If he expects a huge deal, see ya. If he’s willing to take a deal similar to Addison’s then yes. Age is a factor as well, as a smaller, speed type guy, I fear his decline may be faster than some, you need what amounts to a multi-year, year at a time deal with minimum signing bonus in exchange for a higher guarantee this year.
  11. I can see that point as well, if that’s the case, then I’d control where he goes, specifically out of the division and more ideally to the NFC. The worst case for your team is to trade him to a divisional opponent, then have the 💡 come on. He torments you for the next 10 years.
  12. I would be. He’s a guy you thought enough of to draft 3rd overall. You hold his rights, so worst case, you have a cheap(relatively speaking), young QB who is going to have to battle your new Rookie QB to start. If he fails to win, he’s a guy you are happy to have at backup (assuming he keeps his mouth shut), so you have 2 good, young guys on your team driving each other and he walks at the end of next season. If he wins the job, you now have the option to hold onto him and flip him for better picks after what you would assume is a good year. So you control where he goes and get some decent compensation for him. There is no upside to dealing him to the Pats and you definitely should be able to get at least a late round pick for him, so he’s not getting cut. If he catches on and does well, it looks horrible on you. And you gave a division rival their QB of the future, remember the kid should have another 10 years in him if it goes well. I could see the Saints, Panthers, Bucs, Bears, Colts, maybe the WFT etc all willing to gamble a 3rd or more on a chance to have him in their building and see if he’s the next guy.
  13. I would love to see him in NO with Payton, I think that would be a real opportunity for him to prove himself (either way).
  14. That’s a garbage move. If an organization intentionally keeps its players out of the light, that’s just disrespectful of their talents and career. It’s probably just to keep from having him make the PB while their “starters” miss haha.
  15. Wow, I really thought he would do well there this year.
  16. I was excited to see Knox this year, he’s got the tools, but the guy is not much of a player out there, really disappointed to see him not take the next step.
  17. Still a 4th round rookie, not sure exactly what you expected from him, but he’s played very well.
  18. He’s made big strides and I sure hope he can eliminate the mental mistakes more. The physical talent is there. Yesterday should have been a blow out, but he kept the Cards in it and it bit us. As good as he was last week, he had just as bad of mental game this week. The comeback drive was great, too bad it was necessary.
  19. Obviously, Josh doesn’t understand his own greatness. He clearly is the the reason the Bills were up at the end. Or he completely understands, he had a bad game that allowed Arizona to hang in. He made some really bad decisions today, mixed in with some great plays, but he’s right, had he not tried to turn the ball over 5 times today, the game would not have been close enough for this to happen.
  20. Exactly. They have been really fortunate lately and are hot, that does not mean they won’t fall flat on their faces at any moment.
  21. Kid looks to be settling in, when he booted that 59 yarder at the end of the half, from the right hash BTW, he didn’t over do it, just stepped up and put it through. That ball was good for another 10 yards. He just has to trust his leg and not force the long ones, he will be fine. I wasn’t sure about him early on, but he’s really got things going.
  22. My bad Example, all out blitz on 3rd down, zero pressure on 4th at the same distance, dafuq?
  23. So that excuses throwing the ball straight to the defender 3 times and hurling a ball to the middle of the field with one eligible receiver and 3 defensive players around him on the way to the ground? Sorry, no. His decision making sucked today and I’m not excusing it. The game plan put the game in his hands and he couldn’t make the right decisions. He had a great last drive, he left with the lead, but he ultimately was the reason the game was close enough to be in that position. I believe Allen is the future and the present, but he was not great today. The great thing about America is you are entitled to your opinion and you have the right to be wrong. Allen had a bad day. He threw the ball right into the arms of the D 3 times today, 2 times they caught it. He also threw an absolutely horrible ball to the middle of the field, with 1 eligible receiver and 3 defenders on his way to the ground, Singletary bailed him out, but another bad play. He was not on, he did manage to have a great final drive. Fact is, had he not made so many mistakes, there would not have been a need for a come back, not the opportunity for Murray to make the throw he did.
  24. The untimely and ultimately, bad throws/decisions gave Arizona the momentum and lead. Yes he made a comeback, and one helluva throw to Diggs, but, that should have been gravy, not go ahead. Josh had a bad game today, made some really stupid throws and could easily have had 4 picks had Peterson come up with the ball he usually does on the first one in his arms and the absolute bone head throw away to the middle of the field Singletary bailed him out on. This was the “ bad Josh” we can’t have. He was great on the last drive and the D should not have given up that TD, but they should not have been in that position.
