Texans believe Watson has played his last snap for the team
DCofNC replied to Penfield45's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m with you, I don’t see Pitt dropping that much money on him for 1 and if he’s out to win, it’s not the right place to go. GB makes sense to me. I’d love to have him here, not sure there is money for him, but pass rush is a huge need. He’s a great, but older player. Have to think it would require getting rid of some of the guys on the line. -
It’s all my opinion obviously, but you can see him not going full speed at times when he knows he’s not a primary option. I kinda get it, it has to be exhausting to go full tilt every play, he does do a good job of coming back to Josh on scrambles though. I don’t necessarily think it’s a lack of effort in a real form, but not really going 100% on plays where it “doesn’t” matter, sometimes it ends up mattering. Yeah, I agree. From my observation, it looks like he doesn’t always go 100%, I’m guessing he might be preserving himself a little.

Zimmer has some wheels! Johnson did a great job after getting out of the end zone (at first I was like, take the touch back!), setting up blocks and keeping the return alive. That was a really great play on a lot of levels. I don’t agree with the assessment of Jackson not trying that has been mentioned a few times. Tre had him well shielded and he doesn’t have the bulk to move a guy in that scenario. He’s great at making you miss, but he’s not a “power” player.

Hughes credits Isaiah McKenzie for defense’s performance
DCofNC replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does he? Seems like the forgotten man in the last 2 games. -
He looks like he takes some plays off honestly. Also his concentration has been iffy. Last week he was a freaking rock star, but this week he was more of a boat anchor. I would not, simply because of Davis’s size, but I could definitely justify it. I would find a way to get Stills out there, speed kills.

Trent Murphy was worthy of the cap hit
DCofNC replied to Max Fischer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, and he actually allowed one big run by their back on an option play because he went for Jackson. I honestly believe he was assigned to be the Jackson Spy, he went for him every time there was an option and he was VERY disciplined in keeping him in front of him, none of that is what Murphy usually does. I feel like they have him ONE job and he executed it well. -
Balt played a lot of man coverage, not Coles strength, he’s very effective finding holes in zones, but man to man basically neutralizes him, it always has and now he’s not quite as explosive. Davis really has fallen off the last half of the year, looks like he hit the rookie wall pretty hard. Lots of drops, still would like to see him back running at full speed and be a contributor.

Carson Wentz became "uncoachable"(article)

He can ride off into the sunset and be a rich man for life, which is what he will have to do if he won’t listen. -
Has Greg Roman's Playbook Changed Substantially Since 2016?
DCofNC replied to switz1610's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. Hopefully, the Bills O is just a slight bit better than Tennessee though. TN is a pound the run and set up the pass team, the Bills are a pass to set up the run team, quite opposite. My hope is the Bills take it to them and put them in a hole early. -
Should we start receiving the kick off of we win the toss?
DCofNC replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you go out and put them down 7-0, genius. If you go 3 and out, fool. Take the ball in the second half. -
Regardless of what happened last time, you cannot let him run. If he puts up 300 yards and 3 TDS, it way worse if that’s 150 running for 2 of them, those runs are demoralizing and clock consuming, not to mention extremely low risk/high reward for them. Force the pass.

I hope we see a good bit of Neal /Marlow out there to spy Action Jackson. That should be their ONLY assignment.

Ravens Pat Ricard: does he look like a Problem?

Put Oliver on him in coverage, throw them all off. -
McDermott floats turning to Christian Wade
DCofNC replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wade either makes the roster or goes home next year, it’s pretty much that simple, hope he can make something of his opportunity to be honest. -
Wow, I wonder how that all transpired, seems like odd timing.

Bills signing Kicker for playoffs, in case of emergency

I thought they would carry one all year to be honest, really surprised they changed it this long. -
Most unbelievable throw from Allen Saturday
DCofNC replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great description on Maholmes. He’s a freaking wizard with the ball. I don’t mean to take anything away from Rodgers, he has an incredible arm, I just feel he needs a little more push to zing the ball than you see with JA and Maholmes. Rodgers has outstanding body control and mechanics, he uses leverage/torsion etc, to maximize his ball and it is effortless for him, but you can visually see he uses his base/body more for it. Allen’s transformation has been nothing short of amazing. His off platform accuracy this year is insane. He wasn’t able to put balls on guys from a clean pocket last year and this year he threads needles while falling out of bounds on the opposite side of the field. -

I agree with what you are saying here. I honestly do feel JA is the most physically gifted Athlete at QB in the NFL right now and I’d go so far as to say, I can’t recall ever seeing anyone with more raw talent ever, that actually panned out anyway. It’s not that Rodgers can’t make all the same throws, but he puts more into them than Allen and Maholmes do. Maholmes throws from angles that seem to defy physics and Allen doesn’t need a base under him to throw virtually any pass he wants, those two are in another universe as far as unorthodox plays. Stafford had/had a rocket launcher, but again, more an on platform guy and Herbert doesn’t appear to be quite the same level as the big dogs, but he certainly has a top 5 ish arm. -
John Brown need you to step up going forward
DCofNC replied to ILBillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, if the WR group is as banged up as they looked last week, put Stills out there even if it’s just to run deep and drag defenders away. You will have to take a shot to him to make them respect it, but I definitely want to see him out there. With him running deep, Diggs and Brown will have more mid range freedom and hopefully that allows them to move the ball better. At bare minimum, McKenzie needs to get back out there or if he can’t, use Stills in his role, speed kills. -
Tomlin lost all respect from me last night, what an AWFUL game he called. The 4th down puss out handed the game away, but don’t let the fact he went for 2 when it wasn’t necessary and then took the 1 when you absolutely go for 2, then came back to go for 2 in the same situation, after already screwing the pooch all be forgotten. He sucked. Pssh, we haven’t had the run game all year, can’t take away what we don’t have.

No matter how you look at it, from here on out it’s Murder’s Row. The Ravens could pound the rock right down our throats and end the year for the Bills. Up next is with KC, who I regard as the clear cut favorite to win it all or the Brownies, which would be a dream come true, they are going to need all the breaks again to make it happen (screw the Steelers btw). If some how you manage to make it past all of that, you are playing the best team in the NFC. I suspect the Pack. Nothing will be easy. It’s time for the D to step it up and control the game the way they did last year. The Onhad better get back to what they do and put some serious points on the board, no more trying to force the run, we know it’s not going to work. Set up the run with the pass, the team isn’t good enough to set up the pass with the run.
