Let’s get real, a full team of back ups is getting rolled by most any team. The one advantage the Bills do have is MT at backup, to me, he’s the best backup in the league, he’s not the guy you WANT to start, but he is better than Tyrod ever was and there were plenty of people arguing Tyrod was the solution at QB. The nice part is, if Josh is out, the whole game plan does not have to be altered. It’s a nice place to be in for once. I sure hope it’s not the case, but the guy could be a Nick Foles type, where you don’t fall apart if the starter goes down.

Well it sounds like Beane is coming out of camp with 9 OL and 3 new draft picks in 2022.

Got tickets for Monday night vs the Titans

yikes, that sucks. -
Yeah.. they might give it to him, simply because it’s more than cutting him. if take a flyer on him for the PS, not sold he’s any better than the guys at the bottom of this roster. Would have to thinks he would be NO BETTER than #4 here, that’s assuming he made progress.

I got first row in the third level around the 40 yard line, $215. There are a lot worse seats out there for WAY more, but I wanted to go and those were the best value by a long shot, not much for under $200 right now. You can’t forget that Buffalo tickets are some of the cheapest in the league and you are looking at a time when demand is high because everyone is tired of being cooped up. I paid like $135/ticket for the Steelers about 6 years ago, for decent seats, I’m not real shocked to see that be up. -
I’m excited to go see a new stadium and see what TN fans are like to the outsiders. I’m sure it’s going to be a good time, hope everyone is healthy and it is a great game, that the Bills win obviously.

Or being looked off by the QB to give up huge gains over the middle. Stats don’t tell crap. Poz was a backeling machine too and Jacksonville got to enjoy that mess while paying him way too much. I hope the Bills are wise enough to judge him fairly, not just sign him bc they drafted him and don’t want to admit a mistake, but the 5th year option pick up already shows they are attached.

Aside from Maholmes, who else has that many wild plays in a career, much less in the time he’s been around? So much fun to watch, terrifying at times, but fun.

Just so much arm arrogance, it’s obnoxious.

Bills rushing - yards before contact
DCofNC replied to BarleyNY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think DS would be able to adapt to a zone scheme, Moss pretty much is the perfect back for Zone, he’s very North/South and will break arm tackles all day. DS is used to hiding behind his block and then bursting out, he’s just got to understand how that works in Zone, you ride the shoulder, not the rear and blast into the seam, not the open field. It’s a different thing, but I don’t see why he couldn’t, he’s not really a dancer, he’s just got crazy quick moves, which could work. Shady would never work because he had no discipline to hit the right hole and trust it to open, he ALWAYS looked outside and for the open field. He sucked between the tackles for good reason, he wanted home runs not doubles, but when it was goal line, he could find the seam and slip through, that’s the whole zone scheme. DS can do that and with his low center of gravity and suddenness, combined with the fact he’s a little bowling ball, I see no reason he couldn’t be VERY good at it. Will he? That’s another question all together. -

I really think the blocking scheme needs to be looked at, this team is built for a Zone Scheme and try’s to play road grader, which just doesn’t cut it. Morse is crazy athletic, and the Guards aren’t big enough to run over real interior players, they need to quit pretending they have the personnel for a smash mouth style run game. More pulls etc would be great, instead the RBs are primarily trying to get back to the LoS at this point. They are pretty good pass blockers, but I was pretty disappointed to see them not try to upgrade the O-line this offseason. -
I would love to see him have a career like Campbell, hopefully finding it a little earlier. The thing is, I look at him and what I have seen of him on the field, I see JJ Watt. I think he could be an absolute monster working in a hybrid role where you don’t know where he’s coming from. He might not have elite speed, but that length and he will add a lot of strength, coming from the inside, he’s trouble. Now, obviously, that guarantees nothing because we are taking about 2 of the best players we have seen in decades and hoping he gets there, but if he puts in the work, he has the tools.

Chris Simms Top 40 quaterbacks - in depth Josh vs Aaron
DCofNC replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
C’mon man, that list is REALLLY questionable. I appreciate the JA spot, but Rodgers is still the man. There’s a lot of love for guys who have never been on an NFL field and hate for 1st ballot HOF QBs on this list. -
Basically, Knox is a camp body for them. I kid, I kid, but he’s one of the few with the athletic ability to run with those boys, he has the tools to be elite, maybe they can help him harness it.
-
I have a list of guys I’m rooting for and hoping for big jumps. Dane Jackson - love what he brought last year, wanted to see more, he’ll have a shot at starting. Obada, exciting athlete, not sure where he fits with all the additions to DE, but I expect he will get a good opportunity to make some noise. Knox, break out year. The tools are awesome, has to get that ball to his hands before he runs. If he can get that focus down, we could have a Kelce TYPE of player, not that level of elite, but even half of that would be awesome. Josh Allen, get this as a dark horse, he could become the only QB to get 3 receivers to 1000 yards in a season since 2008 and there’s the incredibly unlikely scenario they could get 4.

Josina Anderson - Bills still looking to improve TE position

Would love to have him, but at this point he’s proven to be nothing more than Knox, not sure that’s the guy you hang your hat on. -
Dion Dawkins is latest to rave about Bills DE A.J. Epenesa

I’m interested to see if they do t come out and try playing a “light” line package. Something like AJ/Boogie, Rousseau, Oliver, Hughes. Bring the safeties up, try to create quick pressure and make the LBs responsible for runners, have Poyer as the in box type to clean up in case a team tried to run up the gut. -
The Bills are the most complete team in the NFL.

Fair enough, if that’s the perspective you are working from, your argument holds water. I disagree with the assertion the Bills have less holes, but I believe the Bills have clear holes at DE, 1Tech DT, RG, LG, TE, RB1, CB2. My definition of a hole is a below league average at a position or an unproven player taking the starting role, ie rookie. For me, the Bills lack a LOT of talent at key positions, JA covered a lot of it last year, but when the heat got turned up, it became more obvious. -

So there’s a little question at corner, where the Bills starter opposite White is ???? I’ll go Dane Jackson, but that’s a wash at best. Until proven otherwise, the Bills have nobody that can match Clark and a bag of chips, so again, push at best. The Bills have 3 guys on the line who even stand a chance to start on a real team, I’d trade centers with KC in a heartbeat, so I guess we will agree to disagree on that one. literally everywhere else, KC is clearly better than Buffalo, the only possible argument being at S, and to Bills homers only at QB. I still love how people can say Maholmes had arguably the best season a QB has ever had, in his first year and backed it with MVP level play again, yet Allen is clearly the better play.. -
