What they thought in 2017 of McD hire

They failed to win enough games to control their own destiny and it took a last second heroics of another team to put them in, that is backing in. -
What they thought in 2017 of McD hire

You act as if all the moves to get Allen were the Head Coach, which is a joke. He did fall into their laps, there was a lot of chatter that Cleveland was going to take Allen first overall, how different would things have been? Denver could easily have taken him at 5, the Browns dictated that entire draft, not the Bills. It was a great job by Beane going up and getting the guy they wanted, but he could have just as easily not ended up in Buffalo. Think back to 04 draft, the Bills couldn’t pull off the trade to get up for Big Ben and wound up the JP, how much better would the team have been fit years in end, had that gone differently? How much better would the coaches have done with a real QB? If anything, you could argue McD blew the draft before, not taking Maholmes, but you don’t like that take because it doesn’t fit your narrative. Beane had to make up for it and go get the player they needed. -

I would argue that McD would not be shown in a great light we’re it not for Allen emerging. Funny how a top 5 QB can make people look like a genius. He came in and did what was expected, got the D on track and they won enough to back into the playoffs, the next year wasn’t so pretty, then JA came on and here we are. If Allen had turned out to be the wrong Josh, I don’t think you are singing his praises right now. His overly conservative approach has been taken away by having Josh basically blow it up. The D has not been great for the majority of the time he’s been here, but has definitely flashed at times. Overall, the success of a team these days is tied to scoring points, which is pretty much tied to QB play. A bad coach can make it harder than it has to be, he is not a bad coach. A good coach can look really good with a QB and I think that’s where you find him. Good luck to the other new coaches, their future is tied to the QB they have to work with. -
Just like any other team, they lost a top 5 QB, they aren’t going to be as good without him. The failure to build a reasonable offense is going to be glaring now. This will probably be the end of Wilson in Seattle as it will prove how bad they are without him and he wants to win. Next year he joins the Steelers and torments the league for years to come.

Please start Spencer Brown for the rest of the season ASAP
DCofNC replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall
Whatever it takes to remove the turnstile off the right side is fine. Brown is pretty raw to be that brazen, hopefully he doesn’t get too big of a head, he’s going to see real competition this week. -
Man, Carolina has a lot more faith in their roster than I do.

A lot of people still bitter from him leaving, if you can get him here it INSTANTLY makes the team FAR Better. This would be the move that could put the Bills as the clear SB favorite and people are still worried about the past, nope, sorry, just dumb. If he’s ring chasing and wants to start, Buffalo, KC, Tompa, Arizona are all destinations at the top of the list. Carolina? C’mon, you betting on Darnold to win you a SB? Nah. Baltimore? No thanks. Cleveland? Maybe and they have money. Packers? Do you believe in them? I don’t honestly. Of the Legit contenders the Bills have the most cap room. He would have to go second tier teams to find more cap room. Not only is there a shot, the Bills had better be gearing up to cut somebody stat.

It’s going to take a little more body of work to get everyone on board, but he’s better than Kelly was in so many facets it’s unreal. Experienced Jimbo was a better field general, but give Allen the same experience and I don’t think we will even be saying that.

Bills number 1 in espn power rankings...wait what?
DCofNC replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m gonna be PISSED if the lose to Tennessee, I’m going to the game and don’t want an 8 hour disappointed drive home haha. -
Spencer Brown - will he start on the OL? (Update - Yes)
DCofNC replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I say we throw him in as a TE in goal line situations, let him block for a while, then throw in the surprise pass to him. Make teams start thinking more, always good to have a LB have to pause before going on a play. I don’t know if I’ll ever understand the Boogie pick. The OL needed the pick, but apparently they fell in love. -
Cole Beasley has lost all his power. Gone. Done. Finished.

Well played -
Ok… so? Ford still is getting slapped around. Yeah.. he’s too slow and not mauling anybody.
-
Ford got beat like a drum yesterday, he was awful. I hope the kids they drafted this year step up and see the field, although they let one slip away already. Ford needs to be shown the door, sad part is, he’s apparently the best option right now.

Zach Moss needs to be the lead back
DCofNC replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Moss misses a lot of opportunities to get more yards, he’s very frustrating to watch, I think the reason he got benched early this year, is his lack of vision. Motor is better in regards of seeing the openings and going for them. The thing we need is a hybrid of the 2 of them, give me Motor’s moves and vision, and Moss’ size and hard nose running. -
Bill Belichick. Greatest fraud in NFL history.
DCofNC replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That’s the truth. They have missed so much it’s almost comical, but the scheme and Brady covered a lot for him. Phil was smart enough to not coach again without a stacked roster and some of the very best players ever on his roster. Phil = way smarter than BB. -
I’m with you, I wasn’t excited about the draft and I wasn’t all that excited by the pick, even though I understood why they went DE. He’s been way better than I expected. Basham? I hope he’s making strides on the inactive list, that’s a disappointing use of a 2nd round pick so far.

"Buy stock in A.J. Epenesa" - says Daniel Jeremiah
DCofNC replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The thing that was great about him his whole career in college had been his work ethic and ability to improve, this is just his next progression. I’ll admit, the jump he’s made this year is really surprising in comparison to the player we saw last year. He’s actually an impact player out there now. He’s not quite “there” yet, but he’s a top of the rotation player. He’s making the choice to let the Vets walk next year really easy. -
What happens if Tua Doesn’t Get Hurt?
DCofNC replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ll say it like this, I was more concerned when Brissett came in. -
If LJ was actually a QB, the Ravens would be leading by at least a TD.
-
As of right now, There’s a chance the Bills would beat the Ravens, zero shot against the Chiefs right now.. let’s hope the balls bounce the right way.
-
Groot is doing a great job shedding blocks and is fantastic at setting the edge, then taking down the runner, genuinely impressive for a young player, forget about the fact he didn’t play last year and is up against NFL competition now. He’s been a difference maker. AJE, looking really good, more flash than I expected this year, he’s LOOKING like he could be the best DE on the team for now (I think Groot will own that title), it’s an impressive transformation. Just being real Addison is looking really good early in the year, which he did last year too, hope he can keep it going all year.

Bills have the ninth oldest roster
DCofNC replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The averages get deceiving when you have a handful of gray beards on the team. The Beane draft classes better come on in a big way or this team is in big trouble.
