  1. You are going to get lit up for saying Josh isn’t playing the best he can, but you are exactly right.
  2. I’ll be rooting hard for them
  3. I didn’t because they have to beat on each other and have a much more difficult schedule ahead, but yes, they could be in the race.
  4. End of the day, the W-L record determines seeds in the playoffs, I’ll take 17 soft games and a top seed vs being “tested” and having to face those teams that tested us again in the first round of the playoffs. As it stands right now, it looks like the Bills and the Titans will be fighting for the #1 seed, who’s schedule would you rather have to get that seed??
  5. Flacco should just refuse to go out there, he can retire now and only miss the game checks, bonus has been paid by Philly.
  6. Did ya read what was right in front of you? He is not playing his best, as I said, still good relatively speaking. His only big games have been against trash D’s, so as much as I love the kid, you also have to be objective with it.
  7. Maholmes has accomplished more than most guys will in a career in his first 3 years playing, he’s not playing well at the moment, period. I think a big part of this is simple, when you have a QB on a rookie deal, you have money to put other pieces around them and have a way better team. Now that he’s THE highest paid guy anywhere, the cuts had to come. Guys like Watkins might not be true, elite #1 guys, but you have to defend a guy with elite traits all game, that’s a safety that can’t cheat and you #2 CB working hard all day. Now you throw Hardman to that spot, you just have to keep him in front of you, big difference. That’s ONE example of what happens when you tie up an extra 20M a year in one player. Then they used a 1st round pick on a RB that doesn’t get enough action to justify it (paying attention RB guys?). Another wasted opportunity. Flip to Allen, honestly, the league has him figured out too and he’s not playing well either. The difference is, the Bills have played a bunch of garbage teams and the Chiefs are struggling more. Allen is still playing good football in relative terms, but he’s not clicking, Ds are forcing him to make more reads and he’s missing A LOT of open guys. He both single handedly kept us in the Tenn game in the 2nd half and proceeded to lose it too. I think Allen is capable of doing more himself than virtually any QB in the league, the problem is when he tries to. Looking at the long term, both teams have to be thrilled to have these guys. It will only ever be a debate in Buffalo if Allen is better, until he wins. You can see it in the media already, Herbert was the crowned one. Now, you are seeing Burrow get the attention he deserves. That dude is great. They are starting to turn on Maholmes, but if the Bills get to 10-3 or so and Allen is clicking, he’s gonna need non-slip shoes from all the slobbering the media will be doing.
  8. The Browns 3rd stringer looks better than anything we have, let’s not pretend that’s a measure of success.
  9. If this game isn’t a clear illustration of Mayfield, Hunt and Chubb all being super over rated, nothing will ever prove it to people.
  10. I wouldn’t have spent a pick on either DS or Moss before the 6th, but that’s just me.
  11. Well we all know the box score doesn’t tell the whole story. Maybe I should have said, “were physically abused by” two decent teams?
  12. I’m gonna go right ahead and disagree with that, Sanders actually has a top end speed element. Singletary is just not fast.
  13. I think I can understand the point that the O seems less fun to watch this year, less gimmicks and less excitement to a certain point. The fact they have gotten their ass kicked against 2decent teams doesn’t help the perception. The biggest issue is right back to the same problems as last year. The OL isn’t very good, the RBs aren’t very good, Allen still isn’t getting time in the pocket consistently and seems to have a little bit of happy feet because of it, oh and Daboll has seemed to come up short in all the big moments since the playoffs last year. All that said, I think most of it is moot if the OL could find a way to block anyone decent.
  14. Hurts is exactly what I thought he was, a RB.
  15. I’m ok with not having him, but some of you make it sound like it wouldn’t be a better team with him, that’s just not the case. He’s a great player, he would be an upgrade. I think the better money would have been on a corner.
  16. Rice was more explosive/fast, but I see where the comparison comes from.
  17. I gotta go TKO
  18. I was really surprised that a guy of Brown’s athletic ability was there in the 3rd, I made the assumption he must be SUPER raw and wouldn’t see the field this year. Well a lot of people appear to have missed that evaluation. The guy is pretty damn good already, definitely things to clean up, but surprisingly good.
  19. Assuming he had a similar season to his last, I’d say he could have snuck into the top 8, but he would have needed to show better at the combine. That’s really what killed him. Production alone probably would have gotten him into the top 15. I’m happy he made it to us, he’s been really good.
  20. I’ll be there too, looking forward to getting all sort of rowdy before hand and watching the Bills get revenge for last year.
  21. Me too, go Bills!
  22. I think a lot of that has to do with him sitting a year and people not getting to see him coming into the draft. Young had a great year, came out, the hype train was rolling and he played really well his rookie year. I feel like his raw numbers were a little less than expected, but he still would have been in the conversation for DROY without the hype. With the hype around him it was all but over. Groot has to not only overcome the fact he was a late first round pick, but the fact he’s in a deep rotation and not getting a ton of snaps. If he keeps showing up, he’ll have double digit sacks, if he manages a couple more of those “wow” plays like that pick, he’ll start getting media attention. I’ll tell you this, Offensive Coordinators know who he is already. He’s a force to reckon with out there. Calaisis Campbell 2.0
  23. Groot is real deal, man he’s good. He does such a good job shedding blocks and getting to runners on the edge, is getting to the QB pretty well and his length is an obvious problem as illustrated by the pick last night. He was an absolute steal.
  24. I’m sorry, but if you aren’t winning the division, you are not winning your way into the playoffs, you are coming in through the back door, BUT let’s assume we don’t take that view point. If you can’t win more games than the other teams competing for a wildcard and have to rely on a tie breaker, you are in fact backing in, regardless of who you are. You are in on a technicality, not because you went out and won your way in. Today, the Bills are one of the best teams in the league and should earn their way to the playoffs with very little problem. The Chiefs are going to have to battle back and hope to steal a wild card (as it stands now), if they get in on a tie breaker, I will call that just what it is, backing in, because you weren’t good enough to get the job done.
  25. I don’t think he will end up with the MVP because Brady is on fire and is might just take down the TD record with that team, at 44 years old. The story will make the NFL happy. Also it’s pretty likely Josh is going to miss the equivalent of at least 2 games due to being replaced in the 4th quarter. It’s the right play, but it doesn’t help the stat padding. MT should have 500 yards passing this year, all of which are missing from Josh’s tally. Also, man the analysis are all over Herbert too, so that’s another hurdle.
