  1. While I understand the Lewis not winning in the playoffs thought, the comparison is really this; good enough to be a “contender” every year and always finding themselves coming up short. Yet he’s so likable and so much better than you were used to, that just being “good” becomes good enough. This has been my worry about McD from day one. He’s likable, he got the team going the right direction, but I don’t think it’s particularly his genius that’s doing it. First year he took a pretty good roster and got a couple extra wins out of it, got to the wildcard, ok. Next year they have a horrible plan and suck, then waste the 1st round pick for his D. Next year Allen breaks out and carried them to a good year, hit the playoffs and struggled to a couple wins, where again Allen had to be a monster for it to happen, they got out coached in both of those wins. Then KC DESTROYED them. If we want to be honest, if we were still playing in the real TB12 /NE era, this team may not have made the playoffs under McD yet and we might well be calling for his head right now. Thankfully, the East has been almost a guaranteed 5-6 wins a year, but that’s about to change. The Pats aren’t a pushover, the Jets have shown they can surprise you if you are sleeping on them and the Phins aren’t that bad, but the culture there is so screwed up, they have to make a change and they will be back to a decent team too. I’d love to be wrong, but I think McD is as over rated as it gets and has relied completely on his coordinators to run games. Frazier is back to playing soft and no blitzes, it’s allowing teams to have it too easy. Daboll looks like his first year all over again and what has gotten him fired everywhere he’s been. I truly believe the coordinators should be replaced. McD is a good leader and for that, I think he could potentially be ok as the HC, but if he can’t clean up the in game mental mistakes, he may need to go too. If he can’t get the team “Up” for these games, he’s really gotta go. This week was inexcusable all the way around.
  2. I think there is something off this year, they haven’t been “UP” for anything since KC. I think the hype got to the team honestly. The real issue is, this team isn’t full of super stars, it’s mostly over achievers, so when they aren’t playing with their hair on fire, they aren’t going to win. There really aren’t any great players on the team outside of Allen and Diggs (who is a fringe “great” player). There’s some good players like White, Hyde, Poyer, Dawkins, Sanders, Beasley, Hughes, etc, the rest are pretty much replacement or slightly better level. We could rehash the fact the coaching has been borderline awful in more than half the games this year, but I’ll leave that to the pitchfork mob when they lose another game to stupidity. IMO, this is exactly what you get with a mid-tier coaching staff, without Allen, this team is essentially the Jets. I know it’s not a popular opinion, but I don’t think McD is the coach you can count on to actually win a championship. He’s a lunch pail guy, but I don’t see genius. He’s done a good job at getting the ship going in the right direction, but we are staring at Marv Lewis 2.0
  3. I will withhold judgement, but the way they have played the last 3 weeks, I’m not sure they will make the playoffs. The Pats could easily take the East and there’s a lot of teams right around the same record that will be in a dog fight for the wildcard. If the Bills don’t win the East, which is no guarantee, now that you lost/ got dominated by the worst team in football, I don’t know if they get in.
  4. I was not surprised, but wondered why they wouldn’t let Bass take the shot when they went for it on 4th and a mile on the last snap. The team had sucked all day, no reason to believe they would convert that. I get that it would have been or been close to a record long FG, but at that point, why not give the kid a shot, he put one in last week that would have been good from that distance, why not?
  5. Allen was out there, so what’s the excuse? Losing Brown? I don’t get it. Allen was out there, so what’s the excuse? Losing Brown? I don’t get it.
  6. Allen was out there, so what’s the excuse? Losing Brown? Allen was out there, so what’s the excuse? Losing Brown? Allen was out there, so what’s the excuse? Losing Brown?
  7. Just cut him and move on, he’s not getting it 3 years later, he’s not going to.
  8. Don’t disagree
  9. Ford is the worst player in the league, not exaggerating, he should be cut before they get on the plane. Honestly, how can they keep him on the roster?
  10. That was what I couldn’t understand
  11. The Chiefs make sense if they can find a way to fit him under the cap. Of the teams with room, Seahawks should be calling, Steelers and Bengals all could justify him as a missing piece.
  12. Wow , Jets can’t catch a break and their D is getting destroyed.
  13. He seems to be around the ball a lot, but the stats can be a little deceiving.
  14. Sleeping on Love, the guy could put on a show, who knows?
  15. I fear as much, hopefully he gets an overwhelming offer in FA and save the Bills like all the other mediocre LBs fans clung to. Won’t be this off-season, but I can still have hope for the next year.
  16. Yep, worst move of the off-season, other than not addressing the G position.
  17. CB would be nice too, but yes, a LB is still needed and I pray the McD sees what everyone else does in Edmunds and has the balls to replace him in the off-season.
  18. Find a G or LB or Both, that’s the weakness of this team.
  19. My biggest “fear” for this team is not making a move and having to ever run Cody Ford on the field again. A turnstile at least bottlenecks people enough to slow them, he can’t even do that. If he gets on the field vs that line, Allen will look like Maholmes in the SB. Something HAS to be done to make sure he never makes it out there again. The Phins stayed in the game for 3Q because of the OL, can’t have that against a real team.
  20. Hell yes. The G position is going to kill the O if they have to run Ford out there. Frankly, he should be off the roster by EOD today and never come back. There are street FAs that are better options.
  21. He had a nice game yesterday, gotta have more of that play or he can officially be labeled as a rotational DT with nice upside. Not the guy you pay 15M or a top 10 pick for. Thought it was a bad pick at the time and I stand by that. I think this regime has just a little too much pride to not pick up his option, but unless he completely breaks out, they should not. He joins the growing list of guys they have over drafted and given too much opportunity to. Thus far, only Allen has been the only early round pick worthy of the position picked. Edmunds, Ford, Oliver, Eppenessa, and Basham are all looking bad in terms of their production vs the picks to get them. It’s early on Boogie and Epp, I’ll say Groot looks like a real good pick, but this had better be his floor, not ceiling. If he keeps growing, that’s going down as a great pick. If we really get down to it, the first 3 rounds have not been great under Beane, Brown may also be a nice pick, but time will ultimately tell on that.
  22. Statement made, you played us tough, now go F yourself. We need that killer attitude and I’m glad they showed they had some. The 2 pt conversion was one I would not have taken, just because of injury risk, but end of the day, you play to win and stupid ***** happens in every game, so don’t leave the score to chance.
  23. Simien is a solid player, they have no reason to panic.
  24. I think it would be far more likely that a team moves there. This makes me wonder though, did Cleveland pull the same stunt to get a new Browns team back there and we just never heard about it? I could see the Chargers or Rams getting a buy out of sorts to get out of their part of the SoFi stadium deal and go there.
  25. But they were undefeated. Should have just waited till week 17 to unleash him.
