I suspect it’s just getting integrated into the O. He should get more and more. As long as he’s comfortable after the bye week, it’s all good. Overall, he’s older, let’s not burn him out if he’s not “needed” to win. To me, the playoffs are what matters. At this point, barring something insane, the playoffs are a given. The only game with possible big implications that’s approaching is the Chiefs game. I’d like to see him ready to be a major player by then, one would think a vet like Coop should be good after a month in the O.

Tracking Not Drafted by the Bills Players
DCofNC replied to Thrivefourfive's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ve watched 6 of their games and I’ll take him over any safety the Bills have rolled out by a long shot. Stats don’t tell the story for secondary players. Example, Sauce Gardner has a lot less tackles than most CBs because the ball never goes near him. Rapp also cost the Bills games by taking out his own player for weeks on end, where’s that show up? Hamlin is the Paul Poz of safety’s, gets his stats because he makes the tackle after it matters. He’s a solid tackler, if he takes the right angles, but he’s a back up AT BEST in the NFL, he does not belong in the position he’s in, he wouldn’t be starting if they had any quality players at all at the position. -
Bills kicking the tires on Kupp trade with Rams?

Just not happening, too much money die this year. -
Tracking Not Drafted by the Bills Players

Shows how useless PFF really is. Mustapha is 2x the player our entire safety room is combined…. I wish that was actually hyperbole. -
Keon Coleman 5th In Rookie Receiving Yards
DCofNC replied to iwishitwerecolder's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ll take it. For A rookie with nobody to really take attention off him to be in the top 30 of receivers at halfway(close enough) through the year and starting to do more, could not be happier for a guy drafted in the 2nd round. -

Week 8 - Bills @ Seahawks - post game thread
DCofNC replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ve been a hardcore skeptic all year. If THIS Josh Allen shows up, with this D l, this team can beat anyone. Very impressive game and they are no where near full strength. If we can see a healthy Milano, Bernard, Jones, Samuel and get Von back (assuming he’s sorta the guy he was), with Keon coming on like a boss, and Cooper getting integrated.. this MAY be a team that can reach the SB. -
Especially when he’s wrong. Right because he was already past his prime and being let walk. Add another 1st and you might have a conversation
-
Beane must not agree bc the resources used at DT are all for mid tier or less players and he’s spent big on DE
-
Garrett is doable bc of his contract, his base is Vet min, Crosby is not, his is 24 M.
-
I’m with you, right up to the last point. Here’s the thing, if you can get Garrett, just do it. He’s a real impact player, the D absolutely needs one and you can make it work for cap next year, so if it’s possible go for it’s. What guy in the draft is likely to be that impactful when you are constantly in the bottom 10 picks, but never last? It’s time to pick 32nd and be ok with giving up that pick to get there.
-
When one guy fits under multiple team’s cap and some are real tight on it… ie the Bills.. there is more interest and bidding happens. Once the Bills and Jets were off the board, it’s down to KC and SF that legitimately “need” a WR and there are a lot of lower tier options they could look at, so inherently value is lower. The ONLY reason Cooper went for that much was the contract being that low.
-
Cooper went for a 3rd because of his contract, period, the end. It’s not because teams think he’s that much better, or better at all for that matter, than Hopkins, it’s that they can afford him. Even with eating salary by the Titans, Hopkins cost 3x as much. At this stage of the year, money is tight and that made Cooper more valuable. Overall, I see the two as pretty equal in terms of what they will bring, they’ll do it in different ways, but at the end of the day, both are older guys who are in the twilight of their careers, now playing with the best QB either has ever had. I don’t think Hop has lost a step so much as he has had trash throwing him the ball, which was/is the excuse people are giving Cooper for his lack of production this year.
-
I’ll be the bad guy, I would have preferred the DEAL for Hopkins, less draft pick value and they aren’t paying a lot. I think Hop can still be a beast, I hate that he went to KC, but I think Cooper is the better fit here. He’s a real X, where Hop is really better working the middle.
-
So why was Amari Cooper traded twice in his prime?
DCofNC replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Money has been the biggest driver in it all. The problem with Cooper is he’s a legit #1, but he’s not a super star per se. So teams have had to choose, don’t pay a guy as a super star for only really good #1 production or do you move on? Teams have moved on, but he’s always in demand. He’s kind of a bigger Brandon Cooks in that regard. Happy to have him here. -
who wants to bet McD will see this as a challenge to get him more reps from the Right side? I kid, kinda. I wish they would use Groot, Jones, Oliver and rotate AJE\Von off the Right side. At very least try to wear the T’s down. Groot is good enough to win against most RTs, let the speed guys try to push the pocket from the Left right, towards the guys who stay shallower.
-
Absolutely, if he’s rightfully in the top 5 of consideration (he is), he’s going to get it over any of the “less desirable” QBs The narrative is written, QBs make the whole team and wins matter more than actual impact. The general media idiot is going “ won 10+ games, won division, must be the QB. Look he didn’t throw a lot of ints, he’s the MVP”. Forget the fact that the guy they chose hasn’t accounted for nearly as much offense in yards, TDs, percentage of points, etc. It’s just as bad as the Pro Bowl.
-
I’m not sure it’s much of a risk to sign the biggest WR contract ever. The other side of that, a lot of guys never play with a great QB and manage to put up HOF careers because they are the focus of the offense. Larry Fitzgerald (most of his career), Hopkins, TO, Ocho Cinco, etc all had great careers without top flight QBs for most of their time. It kind of shows how elite they really are, but could also be explained by lesser QBs going to the best player to help their cause too. Jefferson has a real chance to go down as the absolute best ever to play the game at WR, he’s doing it with middling QBs, which to me, actually adds to his accomplishments. Side note.. wtf is Minn going to do if Darnold keeps up what he’s doing? It’s going to be awfully hard to get rid of him if he can get them deep in the playoffs without being the reason they lose, or if they do manage to win the SB. Do they pay him (maybe Baker money?) or do they gamble on McCarthy being better? Tough choices ahead. Nailed it.
-
He come all the justifications for Cooper’s numbers being essentially the same, but he’s “better” than Hopkins. Hopkins is still very good, the best team in the league just got better and it’s not questionable. I hate the Chiefs, but this was a great move for them and ***** the the Titans.
-
Key words here “has had”, he’s not the guy they should be concerned about, he’s a has been, Groot is the now and the future.
-
If he was going to be “that” guy, he would be there by now. He’s good. He’s not elite. Let somebody else pay “good”, we need great.
-
The problem I have is that I see Oliver as wishing he was Groot and they paid him.
-
It SHOULD, but clearly you don’t understand, Henry is only great because Lamar is the one handing him the ball. I mean look at Lamar’s numbers last year and tell me those don’t just SCREAM MVP. Nope, won’t matter what he does, he’s not going to win it.
-
As of right now the MVP should be Henry, so it goes to Lamar.

Week 8 - Bills at Seahawks Game Week Thread
DCofNC replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t like this one, I’ve been watching a few Hawks games. Geno is not the Oh-Gee-Nooo! or GeNo for short, that he used to be. When he’s allowed to work on script he’ll pick you apart, you have to move him. Walker is the real concern, he could destroy the Bills. I basically view their team as a whole as Baltimore Light/ Baltimore West. They aren’t as talented at QB/RB, but they do have a couple more weapons and that D is pretty nasty. I think this one will be a dog fight or quite possibly another Bills whoopin if they fail to show up in the first half AGAIN.
