Nobody wants AJE in return, just keep him and that issue is solved, but it’s all just silly to think Beane would give up all that to bring on that contract he would demand on top of it. They would end up w him and Allen accounting for 100M a year after Allen’s new deal.

Oh weird, Jones was taken in the second, but it’s impossible to find impact players late in the first for Buffalo.. hmm.🤔 Well it’s not like you can’t stop both draft a Nick Bolton in the second.. wait no.. Also very strange that all the DTs that couldn’t get on the field in Buffalo have managed to recapture starting roles elsewhere and play well, yet the DTs here can’t make an impact.. in all seriousness, WTF? Is it playing next to Oliver that’s making them ineffective?

Not even CLOSE to the same situation. Barkley carried that offense and they didn’t have a QB. Cook hasn’t had to carry anything but the ball, when it’s his turn in the rotation. He’s good, very good, but to mistake him as the guy that carries an O is silly. The threat of Allen doesn’t let teams key on him, it’s the same reason Henry and Jackson are having a great year, you can’t stop both at once. Difference is, take away Cook and you just plug in the next guy, take away Allen and the team collapses.

With zero real talent.

The Chargers are amazing at snatching losses out of the grip of victory. The Steelers aren’t much better, but at least they are familiar with Baltimore and know basically everything they can throw at them.

I know it sounds crazy, but I wouldn’t risk Ty Johnson either, guy has been a HUGE difference maker down the stretch, the O needs him. Bring up Gore or just let Gilliam take carries, let Davis have the majority of snaps, he can do it all, hasn’t gotten a ton of action this year.

We can agree to disagree. That’s fine. Yes the team surrounded him with a staff, yes he grew during that time, but every team surrounds their guys with the best they can. Allen put in time on his own w Palmer, he worked with receivers in the off season and he took his God Given talent to the next level. If the franchise is the reason for his success, why couldn’t they make Tyrod an All Pro? Simple, it’s talent over the team. With all the years of mediocrity, it’s easy to see what it takes to make a team and that’s individual talent. How great was KC with Smith? A playoff team, not a Juggernaut. New England without Brady? Hell look at TB with and without Brady, even with a top 10 QB to replace him. The player is the success, not the team.

For me, I’d rest absolutely every starter I can. No injuries is key, especially the OL. I’d put the starting OL in then box with Brady so there’s no possibility of roll ups 😂. Young guys, for the O, I want to see Davidson, but I’m not clear if he has any call ups left. Ray Davis, and whatever they can scratch together to keep the top 4 WR off the field. Defense is where it’s interesting, let’s seen Bishop, Buffalo Joe, Cine, and more Cam Lewis out there. Oh and just turn Solomon loose every play to go get the QB.

touché oh it’s more than just Bernard, the continued drafting of guys who are “bulked up” to 225 for the combine to play LB is just not working in general. Milano, Williams, Bernard, Spector all missed time this year. I know they are fantastic athletes, but they also get crushed too often by linemen.

I feel like Cowturd said it best, these are McD’s playoffs. Allen has played GREAT this year and perennially is very good in the playoffs, the D has gotten them beat too many times. They MUST show up big this year or McD may be in some trouble. You can’t be a “defensive genius” and continually have the Defense get you bounced from the playoffs. With what we have seen this year, I do not feel great about it, but I’ll be gladly proven wrong. I think JA can absolutely get it done, can the D keep it reasonable enough to allow him? That will be the question.

The Belmar is worth the experience if you haven’t been.

That play is lunacy. Coleman needs to bring that in, but the other one down the sideline that got called back was an idea what he CAN do, it’s going to be fun watching these two as Coleman develops. Allen is SO MUCH more than the stats, he’s the leader, the heart beat and the best damn player by a mile of the team. His impact is unmeasurable IMO. I’ll be a real unpopular figure and say, he genuinely masks all the deficiencies of the organization as a whole from talent evaluation to coaching blunders. He’s the entire reason this team is where they are.

There’s always Tully’s if you want some Super Nachos and Chicken Tenders. Lots of places in the area w the Ticket, just a matter of what you want to eat/drink.

My 80 yr old mother went to training camp this year and her take away was JA17 “isn’t very big” 😂. I tried to explain that giants look small next to mountains, but it seemed to go over her head. I don’t think the average person has any idea how freaking HUGE the linemen really are. I have not been up close to Brown, but when he stands next to Josh who is a big dude and makes him look “small”, that’s all I need to know. He seems like quite the character, he was a great roll of the dice by Beane, 3rd rounder on a lot of talent. I was just hopeful he could stay healthy enough to recognize it. He’s been very good the last 2 years. He’s part of the best (performing) line I have ever seen the Bills assemble. There may have been others that were more talented per se, but this unit gets it DONE.

This is interesting, I have thought about this without real data and kind of concluded it would look similar to this. My thought was, the difference between Allen and Mahomes for wins would be likely zero, Allen to the other “elite” QBs would be 1-2 more wins, Allen to the “good” QBs would be 2-4 wins and then Allen to the bottom half guys could range from 5-10 wins depending on just how bad they really are. For example, I think you could put Allen on the Broncos this year and add 4 wins, but stick him on the Raiders and he makes that team 10 games better. Yes I genuinely believe the Raiders could be THAT much better with him. Now the Giants.. woof.. they’d win more, but that roster is a dumpster fire that could hold anyone back. Hate to say it, but they should fire the whole front office and probably send Daboll with them.

I think that’s reasonable, hope they make it happen.

I looked at his size/speed and apparent skill set and wondered why he didn’t get more opportunities last year. When they brought him back, I thought he would get more touches this year, then they drafted Davis and I figured he was back to ST. Man I’m glad I was right/wrong about it all, he’s been stellar this year. The only downside, I want him here and he may have priced himself off the team. I hope he’s back, but if not, well done, get paid man. Mack has gotta be back, he’s not going to get paid a fortune, believe it or not, GMs do understand that JA17 makes WRs look good and Mack hasn’t lit things up, but he’s been a solid contributor in this scheme. I’d love to see him back on a reasonable pay raise for a couple more years. He’s a pretty legit 4th WR.
