Walter Football Mock with the Hot Take on our MLB
DCofNC replied to Richard Noggin's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s a win for them, take the most polarizing play and zing him, clicks are coming. I agree the Bills better have a decent back up QB, won’t be through the draft tho. -
Bills interested in signing Rob Gronkowski, per Tim Graham

He would be a huge get for this team, it would be foolish to think otherwise. -
Bills' traits players in later draft rounds - Troy Andersen

Wow is he light.. I’d be terrified to see him hit in the NFL, but that’s some serious speed. -
Proof that stats don’t tell the whole story, if you watched the Steelers this year, you know Dionte dropped 5 balls in one game, the guy is not good, nor is the tracking of actual drops.
-
In a normal business you would just remind him he’s under contract and if that’s a problem, he can stop being paid. The entitlement of this little ***** is insane.
-
If I were the Cards, Not only would I cut off any talk of an extension early, I’d make him play on the 5th year and then Franchise him twice, then I’d let him walk.
-
Diontae couldn’t catch a cold, Maple syrup hasn’t done anything and JuJu is a #2 playing as a #1.
-
You think they would still trade Alden for Chubb? Bahahahha

Todays Take on Generational Money Where is That Line ?

You could do 4% off a life insurance policy, not a hard thing to do at all. -
Real talk, there are a lot of vet QBs that are FA this year and all of them are equal to or have better numbers than MT. He’d be stupid to go to NY to back up Jones who they are going to give the job to. Pitt is a ***** show and agin, not going to get paid there, the WRs suck, don’t care what the national media thinks. He’s gonna end up a back up or a place holder unless something changes. His best bet is here, Tampa, Indy, Washington. Most likely, Tampa will go all in for a real QB again, Indy is appealing, but should go for Mariota or Winston, Washington looks appealing if they don’t go w the incumbent, either way, place holder scenario.
-
Pitts receivers are pure garbage. Their stud RB couldn’t average 4ypc, but the team sucked so much he got more touches than D Henry in most years. Any (de)illusions that Pitt has a team a QB should want to play is from somebody that didn’t watch them.

They can do it if they want, they have love in waiting so if they have Rodgers a 4 year deal, only 2 with guaranteed money, gave him a massive signing bonus, like $75M and a base of 12.5 for 2 years, then he gets the 50M average for 2 years and the cap hit is spread out over 4 seasons, they could get him and Adams back for 2 more years doing it that way. Would I? Probably not. He’s 38, it’s time to make a move towards the future, but that’s just me talking.
-
If you were him, you gonna give up 19M to go somewhere else? Understanding this is very likely your last big payday? Hell no.

I can’t blame him, I’d be done working if I had even 5MM in the bank, he’s set for life. -

Kareem Hunt: Cut candidate. Possible 2022 Bill?
DCofNC replied to filthymcnasty08's topic in The Stadium Wall
Talented, the incident we saw was over blown for sure, but the fact it happens makes me question what we haven’t see. I would take a pass. I don’t think he’s honestly a major difference maker, therefore, not worth it to me. -
I don’t mind the move down if nobody has slipped to us, wouldn’t have an issue with your positional picks either. I would like to see a playmaker added, if they land a guy like Kirk, no need, but if not, I’d like to see someone who can get something from nothing added to the roster. Personal hope is a WR slips in the first and we capitalize, then grab a corner, from there it’s whatever makes sense based on the board.

What is your "Win Now" off-season scenario?
DCofNC replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall
I couldn’t disagree more honestly. Windows don’t stay open like that. You are a threat for a long time, but having players in their prime only lasts so long. Plus Allen’s deal kicks in next year, meaning you are forever pinched on cap space. I thought they should have gone more hardcore for it last offseason, but they left holes and they paid for it eventually. Depth in the secondary must be addressed. LBs who actually do their job must be acquired. A running back should have been brought in. They went all cute and thrifty and got bounced. You are getting so close to dealing with the pinch of JAs deal, Oliver is coming up, Edmonds is making more than he’s worth and now you have 2 LBs making more than 3 should cost for their production level, you still have zero impact DEs, an aging secondary and no speed at corner. That window is shaky. -
JC Jackson not happy with Pats approach to him as a FA
DCofNC replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think they know, Bill just won’t change. He took a lot of troubled guys and got them in line, got great production at discount rates because nobody else would take them. He’s just smart with how he spends. He pays the elite players and historically has let players go that were nothing without his system and a star in it. Most of those guys got paid and busted, then came crawling back. The guy is great, regardless of how much we hate him. Him with Brady was a pairing of two of the all time best and really unfair to the rest of the league. Both have gone on and, in my mind, proved they were a big part of the other’s success. I know people think Brady has shown he was the key, I disagree. Brady showed he was in fact great, but what Bill did with the talent on that team, equally impressive. They had no business making the playoffs, but they did. The media may think otherwise, but Mac Jones is a putz and Billy had them all believing he was the 2nd coming. My biggest criticism of BB is simple, his drafting has been mediocre at best. The guys he finds on the scrap pile is what makes him a legend. He really needs to get a better scouting department or hire a GM to get the drafts right. His 1st and 2nd round history is about as bad as the Bills. -

DCofNC replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think so, the guy actually got better there and was an All Pro, for a reasonable contract. If anything I think they just decided he wasn’t worth paying when they knew they were rebuilding and had to free up cap space. I think the 2nd biggest weakness on the team is lack of speed in the secondary, the first being lack of playmakers at LB. -
Wow that seems rich for a guy who doesn’t see the field a lot, but he is quite a good athlete, back up safety/slot/nickel backer and special teamer the versatility is a bonus. If he gets that kind of deal, I genuinely question how insane the market is going to be for Wallace etc. To me this solidifies why I thought they should lock Wallace up to a longer term deal for back up money, maybe he was too smart to do it, but I kinda feel they dropped the ball on getting him on 1 year deals.
