  1. Spot on. If you took away Allen, Beane would be unemployed. His drafts have not been great, FA has been bordering on AWFUL. Guaranteeing Chris Ivory almost 3M anyone? Good lord. Overpaid talent has been the name of the game. His UDFA have been bigger hits than his drafts in general. The thing is, he has Polianitis, he drafted a great QB, even if he fails to do Jack ***** and that QB covers him, he looks great. It’s gonna be a great career for him.
  2. Nah, you are mistaking it for Binghamton, who made it that far, while IBM was still building computers haha.
  3. They are all ***** holes. They were built as industrial cities and all the industry died. Were it not for Binghamton University, the whole area would be dead.
  4. I would have been more excited if somebody from Costco bought it, it would have been great to get a $1.99 hotdog and soda, or a whole Pizza for the cost of a beer at most places. Either way, I’m sure they will get sweet volume discounts on numerous goods. Maybe they can get a decent deal on a herd of QBs.
  5. Never hurts to surround yourself with the best in the business, regardless of what work you do. Good for these guys getting out and learning. I think Groot might learn a good bit from C Campbell, very similar builds early in their career, if Groot adds weight, that may be what you have.
  6. A guy averaging 190 yards on 58% completions, not to mention atrocious ball security, he was looking like what he was in college, an athlete that got to play QB, not much more. Year 3, it clicked and he became the JA we see now.
  7. I think Danny Dimes can make a career in the NFL, he was over drafted, but he does have the tools. He’s been given a garbage situation to deal with. He’s probably more of a high end back up than starter, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see him make some major progress towards solidifying himself as a mid level starter this year. Allen looked like a bust after year 2 and that’s really where Jones is considering the injury last year. Year 3 has traditionally been the break out year for QBs. I still feel like he has a shot to come into his own.
  8. Fun topic! I’m struggling between Action Jackson or Beast Mode. Jackson All Pro Dareus TKO
  9. This is ALWAYS a point to consider when talking stats. The eras were so different. It would have been fun to see Kelly in place of Warner with the Rams. I feel like that would have been something special, it was a similar offense to the K-Gun, but in an era where passing started to take off. The Rams even had a similar team make up in that time Bruce, Holt, Faulk would be the modern equivalent of Reed, Lofton, Thurman. In todays world, he would be putting up 4500+ yards a year without getting beat up, it would be different for sure. I take nothing away from Kelly, but I still feel he was always in the “really good” category, not the “elite” group. That said, I put most guys in that group. To me, Brady has now officially created his own category, hate him, but nobody has done what he has done, period, end of discussion. Then you have the All-Time Greats, the Montana, Marino, etc. Then there are the HoF guys that we superb, that’s where I find Kelly, Aikmen, etc. In context, I also see Rodgers in that group because of his proficiency of choking in the Playoffs. Right now, there’s 3, maybe 4 guys in the league that even show me potential to be considered the elite, Maholmes, Allen, Burrow and Herbert, they all have to show sustained success to get anywhere near the real elite level. Maholmes’ start of his career is insane, hate all you want, but what he has done in such a short time is incredible. Allen looks to be catching up, but wins ultimately make a difference. Burrow is one hell of a QB without all the athletic traits you would love and has also started out really hot. Herbert , athletic freak, looks the part and has to make the team better, stats are eye popping.
  10. Yep, I agree completely. In todays world, I’d have him right there with a Matt Stafford, really good, but not in the conversation for “best”.
  11. Crazy part, he would have added ~3500+ yards to that last year had he stayed healthy. Kind of a bummer he didn’t, but what a career.
  12. They gave up a lot to make all those moves, Specifically, Patrick Maholmes. The GM didn’t magically get 2 first round picks. They had 2 picks in the first bc of the trade down the year before. They gave up a starting LT, to move up a few spots in the first, pre-draft, and packaged a lot of picks to get where they wanted to go from there. The key part was the trade down the year before, which was not Beane. Had they stayed put and drafted Maholmes, they could have used all those picks to build a better team around him, but nobody wants to face that fact.
  13. I’m with you, except I think Bernard is yet another wasted 3rd round pick, and they’ll be drafting a LB higher next year to replace the guy they could have drafted hadn’t been fixated on a “need” position in the rounds before. If they re-sign Edmunds to a top 5 level deal, I’ll officially give up on McBeane.
  14. Yeah, it looks better for the NFL in court later.
  15. Is it a check down if you are already throwing as far as you can? Might make a difference for Tua.
  16. Jalen Hurts a top 15 QB, I’m done.
  17. Key take away, if Punt God can’t learn to add hang time, we are getting Haack baack.
  18. They misspelled shagging, but I’m cool w it.
  19. Yep, with amazing punctuation as well.
  20. How about accounting for the fact the guy was a rookie and managed how many yards on those 81 catches? Chase is more physically gifted, and already performing at an insane level.
  21. As many times as he’s interviewed and NOT been hired, something is up. Where there’s smoke there’s fire or Marcel Dareus.
  22. This is why an agent is valuable, take the emotions to a minimum and be smart. Trying to squeeze an extra 3 Million a year out of a deal isn’t worth risking 35+ a year for the next 4-6 years.
  23. A 4th for Baker? You gotta be kidding. Those kind of picks can get you up 2 spots in the first round. Seriously though, they’ll be lucky to get a 6th.
  24. If the guy that played at Alabama shows up, he could be good. Until I see it against a real D, I’ll reference Nate Peterman.
  25. I think we all love Knox, and I agree with you. To my point, he’s above average, that means he should start for about 20 teams. I have faith in Gabe stepping up, but he hasn’t done it. The next highest paid WR after Diggs is Crowder who managed to only get 4M on the open market. Anybody thinking this team has WR depth/talent is a bit misguided.
