  1. I don’t think he’s “bad”, but I also don’t think he’s even at Mayfield level and Baker is really a mid tier guy. Jones got paid, he’s probably not going to get another big deal. Now we see if he’s really dedicated to the grind or if he just fades out.
  2. Ok, that’s a bit delusional as well… it was an impressive win vs. KC. The way the Bills are playing, the only team that “should” stand a chance is the Lions, but take nothing for granted these days.
  3. Anything is possible.
  4. Seems like the best option for everyone, he can try to hook on with someone else or take the season off and restart next year. Have to imagine he’s hoping to pull a Mayfield like resurrection, problem is he has never had a great year.
  5. My wife is calling a Carolina win, she’s never wrong.
  6. Yes, I have no idea how that fits in with football. I don't get it and I don’t see how people get “pumped” from that song. I could see it for a higher energy, more related song etc, this one baffles me.
  7. The OL has played very well this year AND has depth, props to everyone involved there. To handle the Chiefs the way they did with a starting T down and losing Dawkins for a minute in the game, was super impressive. I like the T depth a lot. my apologies to Mr Van Demark for my preseason statements, I won’t be surprised if he’s the future at LT here.
  8. Let’s see if the Eagles and the Steelers are still considered SB contenders by then. Something tells me the Steelers are going to need more than FGs to win games and the Eagles are perennial choke artists. The Lions are awesome, the Bills just beat the team with the best record in the AFC, both have to be regarded as SB potential teams. I don’t see that lasting for either team in PA, but I could be wrong. If I had to guess, they will hype the ***** out of Bills/Lions bc all of PA is going to watch the Steeler/Eagle game anyway.
  9. Yes, it’s becoming a huge tool to get reps without injury.
  10. Mostly because the losses are embarrassing displays of horrible coaching. End thread.
  11. That’s a real test, they are, in my eyes, the best in the league. It’s going to be interesting to see if the D can slow that team down.
  12. Shakir is not the best slot in the NFL, he’s having a nice year, but still going to struggle to break 1k yards, don’t get to far out in front of your skis. He’s a really good player and I absolutely want him back, he’s probably going to go over 20M a season. The fact is they still need an outside WR1 too, so unless they draft one this year, they have to sign one at presumably over 20M a year, the money is going to be tough to figure out. There are going to be guys they have to let walk. That list is going to include Cook, as well as others they have drafted, there’s just not enough to go around. I think Groot is the exact type of player you let go of, he’s been a solid starter and will have been relatively cheap for 5 years, but he’s no game changer and he’s going to be paid like one, thanks but no thanks. He’s kind of Ed Oliver in the DE form in that respect. Torrence is another one to watch, he’s going to get paid, is he going to play like last week or the first 8 weeks. 1 version is worth a contract, the other is what you can’t afford to pay.
  13. Bench him for who?
  14. I find it far fetched to think they are bringing anything less than their best to the table against a team they will be in the running against for seeding. Not only that, this is so early in the season, the odds are you will be playing a far more evolved team, late in the year. They got it handed to them, it’s over, move on. They know you can’t let the Ravens beat you with the run game, yet they got run over. It was a bad game. Thankfully, it looks like they have made some adjustments to help the run D and challenge QBs to beat them.
  15. Serious question here, do you guys really believe the coaches are playing such a long game that they don’t want to win the game in front of them? You can’t be serious.
