  1. Only three coaches in the Super Bowl era with a winning % above .600 and no conference championships. LaFluer, Marty, and McMartuer
  2. If you survive a 17 game schedule with the best record in the conference don't you deserve an unfair advantage?
  3. It would be a catastrophic mistake to switch systems. This system is a perfect fit for Josh and his talent. It allows him to leverage his athletic ability and skill more so than other systems would.
  4. His INT vs the Patriots is the best INT I have seen in the 30+ years of watching this game. Really love Hyde. Will be sad to see him go.
  5. Manning was as trash as it gets in the playoffs and Reid was able to get past the divisional round. What is the point of this?
  6. We can’t get a top mind in either spot. Defense would infringe on his turf. They couldn’t run a different system. Nor operate independently at all. Offense would never have the freedom to draw a top mind. He would box in the ideology to complimentary football and restrict ingenuity. He’s preventing us from being in the market to grab a top coordinator in either position. We will only ever go as far as his beliefs, ideas, and strategies. He wasn’t even that successful as a coordinator. If only he could let go and become a coach to his coordinators. Empower others to be great. He has shown a knack for keeping this team level and focused and he is a leader. That is his only chance to salvage this but it will never happen. That’s not who he is. They went to the Super Bowl the first year after Dungy stepped down. Manning was also a big part of the problem with that teams playoff success, along with the greatest dynasty of all time and a McD like HC.
  7. He has one of the worst divisional playoff records in NFL history. He is one of only two coaches that have a .600 or better regular season record and have not won a conference championship (LaFluer). Our current ceiling is a wild card victory. Who would not be able to navigate us to such a feat if he wasn’t around? If you don’t believe he is the wrong guy we are getting awfully close to just needing a change in scenery. We can’t just run it back every year. We are wasting time.
  8. Brady will be the OC. If we bring in or promote a DC they will have very little influence. I don’t expect anybody to even have the leash Frazier did again. McD is not about best man for the job, he’s about falling in line and doing things the way he wants.
  9. So many prospects here. I don't see Coleman at all like Harry. I had a chance to see Harry a lot in college but I agree Coleman might have issues separating. He's very athletic for a 6'4 WR, but he still doesn't have that ultra fast twitch that you want. Strider, more vertically athletic than agile and quick. I love Odunze, I don't see him lasting though. Leggit is also intriguing. Almost Metcalf like in his frame, which historically has meant injury risk, but explosive player. I wonder if the Bills view this depth as a reason to wait even later than the 1st round or an opportunity to nab a potential top flight WR late. What concerns me is we could still draft defense as we will have a lot of holes on defense. Which is really damning considering we have invested so many resources already.
  10. Bigger target is what I want. Enjoy, he's a beast.
  11. I really like Keon Coleman, but really this draft is an embarrassment of riches at WR. All I really care about is targeting a bigger body WR, 6"3 or taller. Franklin fits the mold. Several others as well. Josh likes to throw people open. Complete shame we haven't given him a guy that can post up and make contested catches.
  12. 100% feel the same. Empty day, know the routine I love is over for the year. Hope removed. It's always such a bummer.
  13. I felt like if they could beat KC they would have a path. I wasn't really considering it until that point and it didn't happen.
  14. If you think any one of the following three things: Mahomes ranks above Allen, McD is Marty, or that the 2023 Bills were always fools gold, the last 60 days were not worth posting. You were labeled a troll.
  15. I don't think 1+1 equals 3, but I would expect him to win eventually as he has more swings at the plate. As those swings increase and we don't win it does start to reflect poorly on him. It also makes arguing the nuances of why he didn't a little less relevant. I'm of the opinion it is mostly in the hands of McD and I don't see us taking the next step until he is gone which would really suck for Josh, obviously. If that is several years later it will be brutal for everybody involved. Us fans, Josh, everybody. I wish that's not what I see coming but it is.
  16. My colleagues have been saying wide right all day to me and I could care less. Everybody knows we have no shot at the win unless we score a TD. If Sean truly grew as a HC in the ways we need that entire drive would have been 4 down territory and while the football world might have called him crazy, every fan with a crap of knowledge would have known he made one of the most ballsy and smart decisions in playoff history. KC wins on a FG probably 90% of the time if Bass makes that.
  17. Only Bills fans care that we don't have WR's or Mahomes has a better system. The rest of the world only cares who won. Just like nobody cares about our injuries. History does not have the memory to remember Dawkins was blocked into Josh on that pass to Shakir. We didn't score. That's all history remembers. So we can have our own feelings as Bills fans and our own ways of how we see it, but it really shouldn't surprise anybody when people don't see it the same way. I know I'm the same way with other teams and the players they have. I do not have the time to properly evaluate every micro condition each player experiences then create a balanced mental scale to say this player is better vs that player despite not winning. It's who wins and loses. The rest fades away over time. Expecting different is silly.
  18. He has done it so many times I can't count and Josh will have to as well, as he has in the past.
  19. Allen played very well and I certainly don't blame him for the loss. But history does not care about anything you just said. Nobody remembers what a QB had when he didn't or didn't execute a game winning drive. Nobody is talking about how a OL was pushed back into the QB and that is why he missed a throw or a team that shouldn't have called a run play who did and that's why they didn't have enough plays. It is downright normal for a QB to have to execute on a game winning drive and at the end of the day all that matter is yes or no. Did he or didn't he. In this case he didn't, so to call this a legendary performance really is a flat out joke. It was a very good performance, certainly enough to win.
  20. My point was can we not act like we asked Josh to go thru child birth because we needed a TD late in a game in the postseason? It’s basically mandatory if you want to win it.
  21. I never said it was Allen’s fault. I said asking Allen to close out a final drive is not anything that hasn’t been asked by Mahomes, Brady, and every other Super Bowl champion in NFL history. People are acting as if we put some unmanageable burden on Josh in this game. Not at all the case. The poor defensive performance increased that burden but he still nearly got it done with 200 yards passing and most that damage behind the line of scrimmage.
  22. Asking Allen to finish off that last drive would be basically par for the course with what is required to be a Super Bowl winning team. He had under 200 yards and was asked to deliver an efficient game plan which he did. I don’t see what we asked or expected out of Josh in this one that was unreasonable. Perhaps another 30 spot which is basically the status quo for this teams last game of the year.
  23. We allowed nearly a first down per play. He has one of the worst divisional round records in NFL history. Would you not expect an Allen led Bills team to get out of the wild card round most years?
  24. We need to score a TD on that last drive right? He’s a HOF QB and we need a TD in that spot.
