  1. Is it really that crucial?
  2. This thread is like the rest of the Josh Allen is hated threads. Look at his playoff stats. Look at his total TD's. He's the best in the NFL. Meanwhile we can't even get to an AFC championship game. The only comeback playoff anything we have is a game we lost and cling to like a 4 year and his teddy bear. A lot of reasons why and sorry to break to you but until these things don't happen with freakish consistency or we have a game winning playoff drive maybe, just maybe, Josh is among the reasons. Unthinkable I know.
  3. Josh and Lamar are both stone cold killers when it comes to division titles, rushing TD's, and wild card playoff games.
  4. I wonder if we even know what our approach will be with personnel. I could see the player groups being similar to what we see on offense and defense where the coverage teams are more tilted toward speed and the kickoff teams more size. As some have said this is more like a stretch run play. We might even see offensive lineman on the return squads. Will LB's and TE types rule these plays? Certainly demand for returners will be high by all teams. I wonder if teams would consider burning a roster spot for a specialist when two returners are likely required and only one TD was even scored last year in the XFL. So who knows how valuable these guys will be? This play will make for a really interesting addition to the season.
  5. Ya, no. Those are at least guys who started for some time or made careers as serviceable back ups. Which virtually no Ohio State QB has done. Maybe Fields fits that role. It would be hard to blindly draft this many misses. Who is even Harbaugh level on here? Other Ohio State quarterbacks who have been drafted into the NFL include: Don Scott: 1941, first round, ninth pick Les Horvath: 1943, sixth round, 45th pick Dave Leggett: 1955, seventh round, 74th pick Johnny Borton: 1955, 13th round, 157th pick Frank Kremblas: 1959, 23rd round, 273rd pick Rex Kern: 1971, tenth round, 260th pick Ron Maciejowski: 1971, 15th round, 376th pick Greg Hare: 1974, eighth round, 207th pick Cornelius Greene: 1976, 11th round, 318th pick Art Schlichter: 1982, fourth overall Tom Tupa: 1988, third round, 68th pick Kent Graham: 1992, eighth round, 211th pick Bobby Hoying: 1996, third round, 85th pick Joe Germaine: 1999, fourth round, 101st pick Dwayne Haskins: 2019, 15th overall Justin Fields: 2021, 11th overall C.J. Stroud: 2023, second overall by the Houston Texans
  6. I think he will be the draft pick.
  7. Agree. He will play like every Ohio State QB in the NFL who isn't Stroud.
  8. Squib as we know it is dead
  9. Pumped to have him in So Cal. They always play the Rams here so it will be easy to follow him. Good luck my man! You were my favorite Bills player for most of our current run.
  10. Just comparing games both players played in
  11. I would take a three time Super Bowl champion over Josh because I should if I'm a sane person. Let me know when people make the Dak is better than Josh thread.
  12. Total TD's are nice and all but I would rather take passing TD's in evaluating a QB. Mahomes couldn't answer the competition one time in his career in 2021 vs the Bengals in the AFC championship. The Bills couldn't score when it mattered vs the Chiefs last year. They weren't a conversation vs the Bengals the year before. Mahomes has been more clutch against playoff teams when it matters most. Josh has scored more TD's. Certainly more within 5 yards when using arms or legs. Nobody is having this conversation outside Bills fans.
  13. Houston Texans are now the Houston Fields.
  14. I'm on a yacht right now using a couple of nude models as my foot rest. Anyway, happy Davis is gone.
  15. @muppy you think Pru Pru could handle this? 😂
  16. I don't see any chance this happens, but Henry really is a different animal. While you have to figure the hits will slow him down that time isn't here yet. We haven't seen a combination of his size, speed, and power since maybe Adrian Peterson. Cook is a good back, but I think our passing game is setting up our running game. To be the team I think we really want to be I our running game needs to set up our passing game.
  17. Please say this about us if Allen ever goes down
  18. Same thought I had. It's been sad with Mort for awhile now. Ever since his cancer battle started. Just difficult to see the before and after and how much of a tole it took. Major respect for the fight he put on and how he came back to ESPN. I really enjoyed his takes, he will be missed.
  19. Our offense gets a lot of it's 3rd down efficiency and red zone efficiency from Allen running. No team in NFL history has won a Super Bowl with a QB that runs as much as Allen. So while our recipe can grade successfully in several areas it doesn't mean we shouldn't be trying to build an offense that can function more conventionally.
  20. That dress would look good in colder weather
  21. I'm guessing if everybody listed a house for sale at the same time housing would be cheaper. Some of these guys are not going to get paid nearly what they think they're worth.
  22. I'm not paying a anything above $20 for those. Money hungry NFL.
