Attempted Assassination on President Trump (x2)
Mikie2times replied to Beast's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
If this was successful we would be on the brink of civil war. If it wasn't successful it would further unite the right. It does nothing good for people who don't believe in his message. It hurt if anything. I do not like him but I would never want this and I'm glad he's ok. -
Coach Prime and mini Prime are nuts

I was exaggerating the bubble designed for him to play in. Trent and Shedeur can battle over 3 yard completion skills. -
Is Josh Allen already the best dual-threat QB ever?

I would still give the nod to Jackson and Vick over Fields and Kaepernick for pure running ability. Vick is in the class of "we will never see that again" IMO. -

I’m not the person who will hand Josh accolades that easily but he has to be the best dual threat QB. Lamar is probably two. Vick had a few electric years but wasn’t as consistent as he would need to be for this conversation. Newton also struggled with consistency. Then guys like Young, Elway, or Trakenton, while mobile, didn't threaten defenses like a true elite dual threat player would. Nobody can match Allen’s ability by land or air. He’s truly a 50/50 split and that’s probably part of what makes him great. No other dual threat guy has been that balanced. -

That would be an awful look for McBeane seeing that we brought in no competition and concerns have been logical all offseason.

It's not like last year with a new offensive coordinator was the first of it with him. He has Josh Allen and a fat a$$ contract so I don't know. Maybe too much to expect him to fight until the end? How hard you work doesn't always mean instant gratification or any gratification for that matter. It seems like Diggs uses work ethic as a shield to be a prick. He's also not the first highly competitive person that lost a game or several games and had to come back and get after it. If his attitude in those moments is to get a fresh start he is going to keep finding himself in those moments.

QB Rankings (& Point Differential)

Is this the first time we have made history for not winning a Super Bowl? -
Wright started for awhile in a great era but was a weakness in many regards. I found even Sam Adams time here to be more memorable if nothing else for his pick six against Brady. Any list that does not include Ted and Pat as the top two DT's is not a good list IMO. That was a special pairing and one of the more formidable tandems of the era.

How close is Allen to Mahomes if all things were equal?
Mikie2times replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn't exactly the say the guy was a legend. Allens best seasons happened when he was here. That has to stand for something. -

I thought the offense was fairly creative and Allen played his best ball under him. But not a topic I would die on the hill for. -
I don't think we should do things like subtract games out just better bracket the context. A higher % of Allen's playoff games have occurred in the wild card round vs any other QB being discussed here. Burrow 2 of 7 are wild card Jackson 2 of 6 are wild card Mahomes 2 of 18 are wild card Allen 5 of 10 are wild card I posted the stats for the divisional round or later upthread. Not perfect, but better. Jackson is clearly the last one at the table for this. Allen and Burrow is more of a preference in what you want. Mahomes has been better than all of them especially considering his work is so heavily based on even later than the divisional round.

Daboll seemed to do a good job. The book is certainly still out with Dorsey and Brady. To say either of those guys is good or bad is a crap shoot. They have less years being an OC than Reid does as HC of KC and Allen's improvisation has been a huge % of our offense. -

McD carried Reids belongings in KC until he eventually got a shot to coach as an assistant with Jim Johnson. He has literally no offensive experience in his career and played defense in college. This isn't a multi skilled defensive coach like Belichick who spent years learning both sides of the ball. He is a defensive coach and a great leader. Speaking of which you have a really good defensive coach in Spags. Arguably better than McD at least as far as the X' and O's are concerned and ironically another guy McD learned from in his time in Philadelphia. Given Reids playoff record before and after Mahomes I'm inclined to agree Mahomes is a much bigger reason for the success they have had. But with that Reid is most certainly one of the better minds in the NFL when it comes to offense. His history says as much and his performance on that side of the ball in his career does as well. He also has that excellent defensive mind in Spags that allows him to focus on the side of the ball thats most impactful to Mahomes. I'm not the guy in this thread arguing that Allen is on the same level as Mahomes. But if you want a guy in the thread to argue who is gotten more competent coaching I would be happy to fill that role. It's Mahomes and it's not by a small margin. -

I can't find the play you're talking about but if I could I would say we need six on that drive. You will probably say Mahomes doesn't always get six. Then I will say show me a time he only got three with a minute + on the clock. If he gets three regulation is over. Josh missed multiple plays on that drive and it almost didn't happen with the fumble. So however you want to debate that play the drive failed and it was most certainly the biggest of the season. So we can say McD sucks and it's true, the injuries were heavy and that's true, but at the end of the day Allen had a chance to win the game and it didn't happen. -

Awsome read. Older article. Gives you some history on McD all of which is very positive. But you see how clearly McD was an understudy of Reid, Johnson, even Spags. How well Reid knew Johnson. Given what we have seen from his mentors it's just hard to envision Sean getting ahead of those guys when everything is on the line. He's likely a much better leader but he loses the X's and O's. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/2339679/2021/01/23/sean-mcdermott-buffalo-bills-andy-reid-eagles-panthers/ -

We are 3-7 vs Mahomes and Burrow and 0-4 in the playoffs. If our defense performed at even an average level compared to every team who has faced Mahomes or Burrow in the playoffs we would have been to multiple AFC championships. KC and the Bengals have done whatever they want offensively and we have no reason to expect that will change. Further, all we are even discussing is getting past the divisional round. Forget about the two more games required to actually do what we want to see done. If you want to ignore this and just focus on the regular season championships so be it. Wish I could but it's obvious we aren't seeing this defense change in the postseason.
