Panthers @ Bills, Preseason game 3, Sat 8/24 1pm
Mikie2times replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
And that play doesn’t happen if Buffalo doesn’t miraculously recover Allen’s fumble at the start of the drive. We stayed in the game with ball control. Which we could not execute for the full 60 minutes compared to them doing whatever the hell they wanted whenever they wanted. Not as close as it’s seemed is correct. But hey, context doesn’t matter to some. Different strokes. -
This is so off base. -Houston in 2019, we had a great first half before allowing 19 second half points. -Colts in 2020, did anything they wanted against us. 27 first downs and nearly 500 yards allowed -Ravens in 2020, it was a wind storm. Josh could barely do anything in it. Count this if you want -Patriots in 2021, Mac Jones -Dolphins in 2022, Skyler Thompson -Bengals in 2022, rolled over us without most the starting offensive line -Steelers in 2023, Mason Rudolph We played 3 games without facing a starting caliber NFL QB and sure, we did good in those games. Not great in most, good. We played 4 games facing a starting caliber QB and got crushed in two, crapped our pants in the 2nd half in one, and did great in a hurricane in the other We are the wild card champions of the NFL. That is all we proved. It has nothing to do with KC.

Do Athletes endorsements affect your purchasing?

I was certainly into Jordan’s as a kid, also had to have Bruce Smith shoe. I don’t like to think it matters all that much anymore but I’m sure it helps with brand recognition over the long term. -
Bass struggling at minicamp (and now at training camp)

The problem I had with AJ is just how developmental he actually was. It seemed like we knew right away that we didn't like his body. So he undergoes this massive conversion process and it takes him two years to start getting on the field and making an impact. Our reward for all this trouble would be a season or two on a rookie deal and that was the best case situation. AJ's progression would have been much more logical had he been a later pick. Having said this I hope AJ makes me totally eat these statements. I like him as a player and he had a stretch last year where it didn't look like we would even be able to sign him. It would have been such a bummer to have transformed him only to see him walk right when he developed. -
McD has been great at fundamental football and it's led to a competitive team nearly every year he has been here. Beane makes savvy moves on the regular. Both seem to be above average in the role they play. With that said, neither has shown an ability to excel at the higher levels. McD shrivels in the playoffs and Beane shrivels when it comes to adding impact players. How you could form any other conclusion is beyond me. We knew we had a franchise changing QB in 2019 and we are going backwards. We will make the playoffs more likely than not and sure, you could argue at that point anything could happen. But it's hard to believe that is how things will play out when we can't rise to the level of competition in our leadership roles. Being good enough is more of a curse than a blessing. No change happens as a result and you also never get any further.

Tua pillow soft. Who hasn't had this type of personality in life? You deal with it in the moment or you move on.

I agree 😀

If you say that three times in a row Willie Parker shows up

My biggest concern is it's just not that hard to picture Bernard getting hurt. He's undersized and got hurt at Baylor for the entire year before. He plays like Poyer used to. Just all out reckless with his body. Then you have guys like Spector who can't seem to stay healthy. I feel like this group has a quicker path to being completely depleted than making it to the end of the season.

If we had Spags I would think it's closer to even money. That would never be what we see in the market but it's what I think would happen.
-
Sure, but not because of the teams vastly more talented roster

I'm really starting to quietly love this LB room

We got this -
Drake London Darnell Mooney Kyle Pitts Bijan Robinson Vs Khalil Shakir Curtis Samuel Dalton Kincaid James Cook It's pretty close but I'm probably going with Atlanta on that. Then who on defense do we have that is better than Judon and Simmons? We have a couple equal assets sure. Glass houses on this one.
-
I bet Cooks beats up children to compensate for his bad hands

Coach Prime and mini Prime are nuts

Yes, don't want to get it confused with the purity of the pro game -
Honestly, the fact that Josh has been healthy this whole time puts us on the fortunate side of this conversation

We don't win man situations and we aren't a physical offense. What level of physicality we do have is a result of threatening in the air which is a smaller threat in goal to go. We also didn't have any larger possession WR's like Coleman for many of those time frames. No, I don't consider Gabe "larger possession".
-
More extensive opinions than I was thinking.
-
Depth is usually decent but we have some risk to run into the WTF moments like LB last year. Imagine if we have injuries to a couple WR's this year?
-
I thought I saw that before. 2:19 mark

We have a needy x vibe. Just look at the Steph threads. It's ok, it's not you, its me. -
What other playoff games has he missed?
