  1. So in these times the guys giving go team butt slaps aren’t what you need? 😂. Diggs might be a total prick but you need those
  2. I was joking earlier but I think Steph actually is in his head. He’s also playing a bit fast with the pressure last week. Josh doesn’t miss that throw usually. This feels like the Bengals game.
  3. I think 20 years of missing the playoffs thinned the fair weather herd a bit
  4. Geez, when was the last bomb we allowed? I don’t even remember.
  5. Cook isn’t doing enough. Let’s stop using him.
  6. We are playing the longest game of chess in NFL history.
  7. We also won the 90's. I'm getting Regular Season Champions 90's / 20's on my lower back
  8. Since 2020, when a team finishes the season with a QB who has a QBR of 65 or better and he starts at least 10 games the full season record of these teams is 211- 73, which is 74.2% Josh has finished with a 65+QBR every years since 2020. It is not exactly a stretch to say this roster has lacked high end talent. Nor is it a stretch to say we have underachieved in the postseason against our regular season winning %. Nor is it a stretch to say a lot of the offensive talent we added seems to be done so without consideration to style of play. I don't know the exact ownership Josh has over this record or how much we give to McD or Beane but you see the NFL averages when getting the type of QB play Josh has provided. I gave Beane a feather in the cap a long time ago for Allen. At some point we have to make more progress. These regular season championships just don't do it for me.
  9. I have more of a beef with the front office based for how our offensive personnel was added. Seemingly done so while intoxicated and with no consideration to the role they might actually play. We have Samuel and Shakir who are much more natural slots. We have Coleman, who can struggle off the line at times and has showed some real promise in a big slot role. We have Kincaid who we like underneath and again as more of a big slot. At what point did the front office ever consider that we might need a few guys who can beat press and not play in the slot? Coleman is doing his best but that was an area he clearly struggled in at FSU and MSU so to ask him to be the main press beater at the pro level is dumbfounding. It sounds cool to say you want to pound it out or two TE sets, but we haven't shown in two years that we can use Knox and Kincaid on the field at the same time the right way. We have locked up a ton of resources into the TE position which I like, but no concept of how to maximize that value. We want to be a power run team but we have no power backs. Cook is a great player, but not a physical player. We bring in Davis to try and play this role but he ends up looking like Zack Moss light. So who is the power to our power offense? Our pass catching TE's and sub 200 pound RB? Who is helping us out of press? Whos is our deep threat? MVS...lord help me
  10. I agree with this for the most part... On offense, Cook needs to have a big day. That front could give us problems in the passing game and with Shakir out, we are so limited. I imagine Kincaid has to get more reps in the slot here. Knox probably more at traditional TE. We need to run the football. On defense, they want to establish the run and we have been spotty historically at stopping teams from doing so. Very slow to adjust. We benefit so much from getting a lead and making teams more one dimensional. I don't see that here. Probably more back and forth style game. How does Stroud respond to a McD style defense? Does it confuse him? I totally get your point. They have pretty talent, but man we are low on playmakers. Low of defensive talent as well. How long can these deficits persist? Allen can mask so much. Sometimes McD's scheme on defense can mask a lot as well. You know how much this one means to Diggs. The Texans will be ready for us. I also expect us to be more dialed in after that horrific showing last week. It's going to be a ball game for sure. I would make the Texans a -2 or -2.5.
  11. 50/50 type game is likely IMO
  12. Sure, its very comparable in that way, but they just have better talent. Allen can do a lot of equalizing but if you go down the roster at who will play in this game we aren't near them to be perfectly honest.
  13. Probably shouldn't be favored here TBH.
  14. weird, he seems to like doctors....
  15. What was pointed out in a similar thread is just how much he is competing underneath with the WR’s. Looking at last year Allen connected with his only seam pass to an TE in the Pittsburgh playoff game. The deep to intermediate middle is not an area you see Josh throw a lot of passes to. So you would hope he could eat more in that area but I don’t see it happening and nobody is clearing out to open up the shorter stuff. Bad roster building to be honest. He should be mostly a Big slot but we have 40 slot WR’s already. Love Keon, but this is where passing in Worthy sort of hurts. Worthy never would have been a WR1 or likely even 2, but we need a field stretcher.
  16. I heard it's hard to win in this league
  17. I’m not convinced we would know how to use him
  18. People think if we get past the Chiefs one of these times we just win the Super Bowl. Had we done it in 13 seconds we would have played the team that actually made the Super Bowl and then the team that won it. Last year we would have played these Ravens and a 49ers team that should have beat KC in the Super Bowl twice. Beating KC is one thing we need to accomplish. But plenty more is after it.
  19. No, not serious. But I felt unclean when I opened it 🤣
  20. Ya, perhaps that is more of the barrier but they will need it be able to go to a 2nd option with consistency. Hell, even a first option. With the way these targets look, it might as well be Shakir, Coleman, and Kincaid for every passing target and that doesn’t work with the targets we are seeing. I know we like to involve Cook but Kincaid sort of needs 10 targets for the offensive math to work.
  21. I know everybody is point guard, everybody eats, we can catch them by surprise if they can't target one player. But if look at Kincaid, 18 targets in his first four games. He had 17 targets in his first 4 games last year. He only started to surface a bit more these last two weeks. If you have an advantage it would make sense to keep going to that advantage and being skilled in designing ways to do so. So did Brady choose to distribute the ball to everybody last year because he thought that was the best way to do it or was he just not good at a focused game plan toe get a #1's more reps? We have somewhat limited WR talent. I would think we would be making more of a targeted effort to involve Kincaid but I don't know if that is going to happen.
  22. The sky's not falling but I was never lulled into thinking we had turned some corner as a team. We are masters at the mediocre beat downs. When we lose, especially big, we get manhandled => Colts/Titans/Bengals. Power run games are a problem for this defensive scheme and it magnified when they can't play from ahead. Other normal symptoms of our defeats, our defensive line doesn't get pressure and Josh has no time. We get away from the run game, miss a field goal or have a key drop. It's who we are until we prove we aren't. Only so many teams in the regulars season expose this, but it hasn't changed. It's still our DNA.
