That looks like how I would do it, but I don't keep these things in the house because I will eat anything without control that is in my house. -

Why isn't Brady using more Play action?

Do you have the rates of coverage vs us and everybody else? It seems like a lot of video was out this week on teams not playing Cover 2 vs us because we can't threaten over the top. -
Why isn't Brady using more Play action?
Mikie2times replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nearly every angle backs up his effectiveness in play action. I also don't recall a lot of our pressures coming from play action or even Josh under center. They have been occurring more frequently with him in shotgun. Perhaps some merit to his injury but look at the data from last year. Same thing. Way more halfback run plays, way lower PA% vs the 25%+ we have had the three years prior. If anything a solid PA game would slow down the rush. I think the issue is much more likely Brady than what a lot of the responses are indicating. What other variable would explain a massive shift in the data starting last year? The pressure, the injury, everything being posed here didn't overlap 2023. The only thing that did was a change in OC's. -
Even when you watch his Wyoming tape Josh has been a stone cold killer in playaction (2 minutes and 17 seconds in). In his career Allen has a +25 QBR in play action vs regular passing situations 113.9 vs 87. You can see why Josh is so good with playaction with his timing. It's almost like playaction gives Allen a more traditional pocket cadence. Right when he hits the top of his drop he either rips the ball out or you see him moving forward in the pocket still in the rhythm of the play. It's always very decisive. So it's a pretty exciting concept that we have developed this run game under Brady which should allow for a lot more of what Allen does best. I wish this was the case......... If you look at the chart below in the PA% column it shows the % of totals passes that were playaction. In the Pass% column to shows the number of Allen passing attempts divided by total plays minus Allen rushing Attempts. I looked at it this way because we know most of Allen rushing attempts actually come from passing attempts. I only wanted to see how often a RB was getting the ball vs Allen throwing. In theory the less we throw and the more we run with HB's, the more impactful PA should be, the higher the PA% should be. We are running substantially more with traditional run plays in 2024 off a 2023 career low for Josh but throwing nearly half the amount of playaction passes as a % of total pass attempts, also a career low. It's like taking away John Daily's driver. Just next level dumb. What the hell is Brady doing right now?

He's no Alex Van Pelt. Maybe Pelt Van Alex.

I was just about to comment on the excessive masterbation that must have taken place to develop that type of muscle profile.

Rashid Shaheed--Where did this guy come from?

The locals talk about him a lot here. I guess he played high school ball and grew up in San Diego. Olave as well. -

Hire Saleh as defensive coordinator IMMEDIATELY
Mikie2times replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
As one of the most avid supporters of the fire all of them movement I can tell you right now this defense is not built for somebody else to takeover. It has very system specific players at all 3 levels. It will likely be a big rebuild unless we stick with a similar scheme. -

It's really not with this topic. It's a strategy we have been using for some time. If it was that effective of a strategy everybody would be doing it. But a ton of teams don't because they know players get injured. -
What coach could possibly go there with a QB calling the shots

Sort of the point of my post. Great, lets recover. Set our hopes and dreams on a Divisional game we have no chance of winning. Forget everything, do it again next year. Just be good enough to keep most our fans complacent saying it's ok, at least it's not the drought years. Give the guys that couldn't get us further than a Wild Card game the keys to rebuild the whole thing around the molds of a Devin Funchess or Kelvin Benjamin. The peak of Beane and McD's tenure was 2020. It's been 4 years and it's going backwards. I think the biggest difference between where I am mentally with this leadership and where I see optimism on the forum is I don't think it's possible they can get us to a Super Bowl. I don't see any possibility this team somehow "finds it" come playoff time. We don't win close games and we don't perform well defensively in the postseason. We are a sub .500 team in games that are decided by 7 points or less over several years. How in gods name are we just going to figure it out in the playoffs when we have never figured it out? Then how are we going to do that for what, 3-4 straight games? The thought is laughable. If I was going to have any hope this year something about this team needed to be different, anything. But it just isn't and in many ways we look even worse than years prior. We will recover, sure, I'm basically certain of it. It will just result in the same ending we have seen for several years now and just like the prior years we will have the exact same conversations this offseason about being close, defensive failures, injuries, and bla, bla, bla.

Not challenging Dalton sideline catch or Cook TD
Mikie2times replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
The very first angle on the Cook catch, not the 20 shown afterwards, I thought showed his elbow just barely touching inbounds first. No other angle appeared that way, but the first angle really looked like that to me. Would have been insanely close and I thought that one might have been worth it but the TO was valuable in that spot so I get it. The Kincaid one he clearly double clutched just after his feet came up. If it was ruled a catch it probably would have stood. But you can't reverse that with what we saw. -
I was upset before the year started. It has only grown with seeing the final product. I don't accept rebuilding years from teams that are building on Wild Card victories with Hall of Fame QB's.

Doing a sequel of a movie that always repeats is Brandon Beane level witchery. 😆

2021 at 7-6 people are questioning if this team has what it takes to make the playoffs. We finish 4-0, parlayed with the perfect game, many think this team is Super Bowl bound. They go onto lose to KC in the divisional round 2022 at 6-3, suffering B2B losses and playing poorly, people are questioning if this team is really as good as they say. We finish 7-0, many think this team is Super Bowl bound. They go onto lose to Cincinnati in the divisional round 2023 at 6-6 people are not thinking we will make the playoffs. We finish the year the year 5-0, many think this team is Super Bowl bound. They go onto lose to KC in the divisional round 2024- What could happen?!?! I'm going to play spoiler for you, we will go onto to finish the year as AFC East champions. We will win in the Wild Card round. When the season ends half of the board will talk about how incredible it was to win another AFC East championship and what a great job McD did in holding this team together. The other half will point out that we haven't been able to get past the divisional round more than one time since Josh Allen was our QB. Meanwhile Terry will not give a flying F because at the end of the day his business is a very successful and his customers (you) keep on buying what McD and Beane are selling. What appears to be a complete lack of progress as a franchise is nullified by our ability to overcome our own midseason ineptitude and you (the fans) ability to completely forget that ineptitude ever happened. By the time we complete this annual circle jerk we have completely forgotten the moment we are in right now and how in the course of being one of the most dominant regular season teams in the past 4 years we find ourselves in this exact moment over and over and over. Eventually we will be riding that eternal high which is a 4-8 game winning streak into the postseason only to be smacked down under the camouflage of a billion excuses when the only clear answer is we just aren't good enough. -Our HC who is drawing on near historic levels of regular season success to playoff ineptitude is not good enough -The controllable no experienced internal coordinators he has brought in are just not good enough -The excessive early extensions that led to cap hell, the lack of attention to WR's across multiple teams, the lack of elite talent at any level, using a franchise QB as leverage to not have to provide further weapons is.....say it with me...... JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH Why would it change? Our fans largely support the leaders of this organization. Why in gods name would Terry go thru the trouble of trying to get new leadership in place for this team? He is not going to be the agent of change and if the fans aren't going to be either, nothing will be. Hope is always what we have had as a fan base and this is becoming one of the most hopeless times I have felt as a Bills fan that I can remember. At least when we sucked all of us knew we needed to do something about it. Nobody questioned that change was needed. It's worse when you feel like we need to do something about it but half the people are saying no, it's ok, it's good enough.

The next 5 games are very winnable.
Mikie2times replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't know if I agree with all your points, but no question, the Jets can crush our souls. They have already done so in New York B2B years. This would give them first place in the AFC east. That has got to excite them a whole lot. Meanwhile, it seems more like a secondary prize for us as we should have at least gotten one of the last two. I'm not sure I would make the Bills a favorite here. They're only -2.5, but to me this is even money. Hope I'm wrong. -

The Jets game is 50/50 and the KC game is 50/50. We have no business losing any of the others. -
We can't win close games. Which the playoffs are outside the wild card.
