  1. I mean, when Jim McMahon is the best QB you have produced in nearly 75 years its saying something.
  2. I have no idea where to put this but it’s pretty damn funny. Non QB Brady is actually likable 🙃 https://www.facebook.com/NFLonCBS/videos/1888511011630542/?fs=e&mibextid=0NULKw&fs=e&s=TIeQ9V
  3. Was it not the way to describe them!?
  4. I’m starting to think we match up better against the Lions than I originally thought. The Bears run a very similar defensive scheme to ours, and they’ve given the Lions problems for the past two years, so I can definitely see a similar script playing out. The big difference, though, is Josh Allen compared to someone like Caleb Williams—Allen’s mobility and ability to break contain is on a whole different level. The Lions’ defense leans heavily on man coverage, and if you can get a mobile QB like Allen out of the pocket, it exposes their secondary. I really think this will be an extremely competitive game, and honestly, I’d rather play the Lions than the Eagles in the NFC. The Eagles just have too much power and physicality with their line and run game.
  5. Again, it’s in outcomes. Not penalties. I can barely think of 1-2 examples of a flag being picked up on a clear replay assist. Maybe a few intentional groundings. But that’s it. It’s not meant to overturn bad penalties. It’s meant to overturn bad calls.
  6. They don’t often get involved on penalties. They do it on play outcomes
  7. Refs have called a good game but that was real bad
  8. Sure, but I see the same thing with them with Michigan. Buffalos fandom and loyalty is just deeper and stronger. It matters more. To them, it matters but then when it ends it’s like it never happened. Characterizing sure, they have die hards, sure. Just different IMO
  9. What is the word you would use. I’m talking about the Lions.
  10. It's really led to some dog ***** match ups for too long
  11. I think Dan sort of blew the NFC championship game last year. While fully respect his journey and his coaching prowess I feel like the Lions have a Billsy quality to them and will likely have a lot of playoff misfortune
  12. Anytime they played a team with a pulse it was down to the wire. Honestly, I think the Eagles are better in the NFC
  13. Goff can get confused and look horrible with pressure or certain coverages. This team is more than beatable. But they’re the best at beating up cup cakes for sure.
  14. I remember my old man surprised me for the Thanksgiving game in 94 or 95 at Detroit. It wouldn’t have happened at these prices.
  15. Detroit fans are like Buffalo light. Unlike Bills fans, they fully hibernated during the drought they had. They have never been very visible or passionate as fan base historically but Detroit sports have been so bad in most regards the last 20 years. Nowadays they're all in. They travel well and will pack that place. They want the image we have as far as passion to the bone, but I find them to be more fair weather. With this said, it will be very loud and reasonably hostile (although I think they're fairly accommodating). I have acted like a d bag a few times there and didn't get my ass kicked.
  16. This is an phenomenal take. I immediately thought of the Jags as well as I keep up with these rates for defenses and know they're a heavy man team as well. As you point out the flipside of the successful QB needing better WR's is the defense needing better corners. Man just boils down to winning match ups and you need the talent. I'm a bit jealous of what Jameson Williams brings to the Lions. The article calls out he has the highest wide open rate vs man in the NFL at 17.6% this year. But just a fan of his game. Just a man killer with his speed. I like how our WR has advanced and certainly more upside but still long for that homerun hitter that can take the top off.
  17. Came across this and noticed it had a lot of Allen/Bills content. Really great article breaking down QB performance vs coverage type. https://ftnfantasy.com/nfl/qbs-vs-man-and-zone-coverage Calls out how teams play a lot of man vs us because we shred zone. Also that we have a very high rate of open WR’s vs zone. Also touched on the concept that the better man QB’s might be that way more a a result of better WR’s. Which makes a ton of sense and why that number one or high end WR is still a big deal. FYI the Lions play the most man in the NFL.
  18. Didn’t know that, has the Red been discussed as far as you know?
  19. Red End Zone's with Super Bowl era throwbacks please
  20. Why I liked the signing, for us
  21. He would certainly be on that list
  22. In would argue the most detrimental thing that can happen to a franchise is having a QB that seems just good enough to keep
  23. Who is on your list as the best QB’s of all time? Maybe top 5….
  24. He really doesn’t have a point and as far as I can tell yours is fairly limited as well. I have been here for over 20 years. I’m here to talk about the game and the Bills. This entire thread was supposed to be about Purdy, it then turned into a conversation about the prestige of two franchises. If some of that overlaps with our playoffs failures I really don’t know what to tell you. It happened. It was relevant to the conversation to discuss. I guess you can block me if all this annoys you so greatly.
