  1. More are going the route that is very similar to pro sports. With a GM and more separation from the HC at the recruiting level. Focusing him more on X’s and O’s. This really is close to becoming what the pro game is than what the college game used to be. BB should help facilitate that further. I think it was rather smart to go after him.
  2. So by this logic we should have never watched them for 20+ years during the drought. If you think something, like they won’t do well, you should just turn in your fan card. You think you’re onto some cute thought process with this but it’s just that. Cute. Logical? Not really. Good to take attention away from our playoff performance though. Facts don’t favor anybody going down that path. Misdirection is much better.
  3. Well the good news is everybody who still wants him out wants to win a Super Bowl. It’s not like this is new. I have wanted him out since the Bengals playoff game. It won’t change unless I see a reason why it should change. The fact that we have Josh to overcome him doesn’t mean we should still root for him. I also think you underestimate his ability to undermine what Josh does. He dropped 40+ points last game, not enough. So many more like it. Wanting McD out has literally nothing to do with how I or many others root for the team. I actually think we will beat the Lions. Most on here don’t. This board has a real bad tendency to put people in boxes that just aren’t close. You think people that want him out wouldn’t enjoy a Super Bowl if it happened or success when it happens? Not even close. Happy to eat the Crowe to boot if that happens. But I really don’t think I’m wrong on this and it’s not because I need some method of coping. It’s what I think the closest answer is to reality. If I felt we could overcome him and we had the evidence to support that I would feel the other way. This notion of just ignoring what you think is accurate so you can hope or believe in something somewhat blindly is not how I view this.
  4. Dumpolotto baby. Fair weather fans. They all just showed up after 25 years.
  5. Hell no, don’t want them anywhere near one before us
  6. So if we don’t believe in this HC it can only be a result of coping and emotionally defending ourselves because of our past scars. No logical reason exists why we might not support this coach according to you? How do you process our defensive performances in the playoffs? Full games of getting gashed and out schemed by multiple teams in multiple years? Don’t want the stats on these things I imagine, it might disrupt your theory…
  7. Not really. Just people actually researching these concepts. Felt this way since 13 seconds.
  8. I mean Reid had been to 4 conference championships and won one by year 6. Then he didn’t go onto do better things until he left and Mahomes came along. That was almost 20 years later from when he started. But it all started only two years after he had Mahomes. Cowher had won a conference championship in his 4th year. Like Tomlin, he had awful QB’s most his tenure, but did a great job turning that into something. His Super Bowl came in the 2nd year for big Ben nearly a decade later from when he started. Dungy needed two separate teams and nearly a decade to get it done with his second team. Once he had Manning it took five years. Even with his one trophy those Colts teams have to be one of the most underachieving of all time. In the case of the Eagles, Bucs, and Steelers they all won Super Bowls in five years or less of these coaches leaving. Bucs and Steelers nearly immediately. The Colts went to one and lost the following year. All of these coaches accomplished more way earlier than Sean has. In many instances with far less at QB, but when they did get a good QB they won it rather quickly. It took all of them a very long time to finally get to that point, some not even on the same team and when they did exit, those teams won Super Bowls very quickly. So I don’t know if your examples are things we should be trying to emulate. To me they’re more cautionary tail and what we want to avoid.
  9. I just meant with this iteration. That was a very meaningful game for me. Certainly remember when we used be at our best in the postseason but that was a long time ago
  10. You don’t think it’s the defensive system we have and our inability to adjust? I have posted this a few times now. Burrow is 17 of 17, for like 180 yards and 3TD’s on opening drives vs us. Including the Hamlin game. That can’t be the players can it? We will see these games again in the postseason, which most of you view as super negative take but how can’t one land on that conclusion? We have seen the normal dose of them this year as we did last year. The flareups when we play respectable teams. We have given the Colts, Bengals, Chiefs x2 top 3 offensive performances on the year when they faced us in the postseason. So in the context of the entire season of games they played, top 3 vs us for playoff football. 4 different teams, 3 different years. Arguably the only competent defensive performances we have in the postseason were against Mason Rudolph and Skyler Thompson (despite allowing 30+ points we did play well). Then Lamar with Greg Roman in Gail force winds. We are 3-9 when we allow 30 or more points since 2020 and 15-21 when we allow more than 21. That is the split we will be living in for the playoffs. I know, I’m not a fan, I’m negative, I’m a horrible person and I kick puppies. It’s impossible for me to pin this all on the players and if that’s something that even could be done then somebody really needs to look at Beane (not saying that’s the case, just saying)
  11. Watching how incapable you’re of seeing an opposing view without going into one of your tirades is turning into one of the highlights of my experience here. Bravo 👏
  12. We allowed 179 points in these games and we have Josh. So when McD gets exposed it usually ends in a pretty wild competition.
  13. What is the biggest seeded team we have beat in the playoffs?
  14. Totally agree, but would give the nod to Bruce for now. Josh playing QB is more impactful, but DE is still a big time position and he’s looked at as either first or second all time by basically everybody. The 90’s are also why this current iterations Wild Card victories and the fans that celebrate them like championships is just infuriating to me. This franchise has probably the best non championship run in the history of the major US sports. It’s about a championship. We have everything else. Nothing can make this team better than those 90’s teams without a Super Bowl.
  15. The Dolphins are below .500 vs winning teams since 2020 excluding games against us. They wouldn’t be winning any division in football regardless of the Bills
  16. Right? How I could you top the Kelly years as far as success without actually winning it. It’s one of the greatest non championship runs in the history of the 4 major US sports. Wild Card wins just don’t really scream success to me like they do to so many others on here. Said in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024. We have a hall of fame QB. Most the drought era coaches would win a wild card game and this sorry division
  17. Let’s assume we do as bad as it gets and that’s what happens. So you’re saying we couldn’t win a wild card game with those guys and Josh Allen?
  18. I don’t believe we have ever had two in one year have we?
  19. So much of our offense is off schedule. It’s hard to give all that to Brady. But I do think he’s done a great job focusing our offense on being a two point team vs the three point style we used to play. Josh didn’t need more reason to play Favre ball. This system really balances him.
  20. We will be ready, wouldn’t surprise me if we get the W
  21. Not gonna lie, I support the escalation of his nickname
  22. The 9 guys on the punt is what he was talking about.
  23. These takes will keep aging like a deuce on a hot day with bad ventilation
  24. So your concern Is about how they played in a game we can’t even reach, In a world where Ben Johnson forces his head coach into going for it on 4th down. Credible take my friend.
