They played as well as anybody in football the first half of the year. They aren’t playing well right now. I don’t think they played well based on luck or being overrated so no, I don’t agree with you. They’re extremely physical and can destroy QB play when they’re on. But sure, it certainly didn’t look that way the last few weeks and I never believed they were that big of a threat in the playoffs. But that was more based on Stroud.
I said the Houston defense was not over rated as what they accomplished thus far was very impressive. You seem to want to turn it into a life long an unconditional declaration. I'm sure injuries have impacted us, just as I'm sure they have impacted them. I don't pretend to know how much. They're missing a lot more, which I know isn't possible given we have a league high injury rate from 2020-2024.
I don't but I take the time to look at past winners and can draw pretty obvious conclusions those that don't take the time can't. Such has nobody wins with less than a 3 to 1 PASSING TD to INT ratio. Doesn't happen. But keep thinking the world is only out to screw our players.
If Lamar loses it will be the best season in NFL history without winning. 38 TD and 4 INT's is by far his best season. Josh should still win it, but consider how we would feel if those were Allen's stats?
One is Ian Eagles kid, who is pretty good in my opinion, the other is Greg Olson, who sued to be Fox's #1 prior to Brady. So it's a pretty good announcing crew in the scheme of things.
Houston has more players out on defense than us, and ya, they aren't very good right now. The offense isn't playing well nor is Stroud and the defense can't stop the run. They should have an early exit.
Teams are running coverages they’re used to running. If they call a cover three or cover two or whatever, it’s not like they’re breaking off a defender to focus on just Kelce. They’re running the normal look and KC can diagnose that and distribute fairly easily. Even in the playoffs it’s not like you saw many teams deviating far outside the normal playbook to account for him. If they did they would get beat elsewhere. It boils down to fundamental football and KC just executed better. Especially when it matters
Ian Eagles kid sounds just like him
