  1. Either way, the defense was nearly Ravens / Dilfer / Super Bowl good.
  2. You could make the argument the 1999 team was the best chance we have had to win a Super Bowl since the early 90's. You could also make an argument it was was the best chance we ever had. That roster was very balanced with leadership from the early 90's teams, new talent, and was the best defense of the Super bowl era. The offense was certainly capable. DL: Bruce, Ted, Pat, Phil, Wiley => Are you kidding me?
  3. Agree. I find both to miss the mark on what is actually real and the truth, like most things, likely in the middle.
  4. So if that article was unfairly biased against him what would you call the 1000's of articles that say nothing but positives?
  5. I want my NFL head coach worried what fans think of him. That's the character this team needs to win in January.
  6. I bet Joe Brady pops his collar
  7. That's Beane looking at the years mid round RB class
  8. Doesn't it work sort of like this.... The sky is falling! Everything is over! What shall we do?!?!?
  9. I'm one of the biggest "fire" McD posters on here and I will not be saying "I told you so" or any other variation of gloating if we lose. I will be angry and sad as I have been every other time our season ended. If ultimately what I expect to happen doesn't it will be an awesome surprise and I will be more than happy to say I was wrong about McD. To think my 35 years of Bills fandom is bypassed by my anger towards McD is rather hilarious. I know it's much easier to look at these views as being so blinded by irrational hate they can't even be fans but like the term "negative nancies" it's just not accurate. I bet some of McD's biggest haters would be some of his loudest supporters if they get proven wrong,
  10. It was limited at practice Monday
  11. More pizza and more first name apostrophes please.
  12. What this thread needs is an example of when somebody was dealing with something at home and they went to work anyway. Really, its what Amari needs.
  13. You’re awfully casty this evening
  14. What is the narrative?
  15. 11, F that guy. Get your priorities together.
  16. That seems pretty likely given Anarumo was with Campbell in Miami. Also think that would be an upgrade. He could also partner with Ben Johnson with that Miami connection again which would be a hell of a duo.
  17. Thanks John Clayton
  18. Whatever the issue was its still going on into Monday. Has anybody heard anything further on the situation?
  19. Pretty sure they’re more part of Holmgrens tree. Ben Johnson, Zac Taylor, and Dan Campbell all coached for Miami under Joe Philbin / Mike Sherman, who was a disciple of Holmgren.
  20. He was getting to the end of his deal and to move forward with him the Browns would need to commit some serious money. It was very similar to the Tua situation from my view. The concern being a commitment of franchise type money to him might be a huge mistake. To me it’s one of the worst situations for a team to be in. Miami paid, Dallas paid, did it work out? Meh…. He played hurt the year this was all going down and really declined. Which I imagine gave the Browns even more confidence in not investing franchise money. I think what they said to themselves was I would rather pay an excessive amount for being sure than what amounts to a franchise deal and not be sure. In theory I would agree with this approach, but the problem is you can rarely be certain. As many know they ended up missing completely and here we are. Baker is still the best Cleveland QB in several decades. He now gets to enjoy some nice weather and be with a professional franchise. Not a bad deal for him.
