I'm partial to Shepard’s but they been genetically craped on the last few decades so the traits that make them great family dogs have diminished. If you have the time to exercise them, and the $ to be selective in who you get them from they are incredible animals. My Shepard is protective, intelligent, loyal, and does great with small children. If Shepard’s aren’t your thing then a cheap alternative to costly pure breeds is a mixed breed. Usually with mix breeds you don't see the excessive inbreeding and gene manipulation that can plague many pure breeds. Mix breeds tend to make great family pets and cost a fraction of the price. Good luck on the search and just remember to really look at the puppy’s temperament before you pull the trigger. Sometimes nurture can't fix nature with these puppy mill dogs.

I couldn't agree more about the stadium being the biggest obstacle. I think we overcome Ralph's estate tax and a new owner. But I just can't see the county paying enough cash to help with a new stadium. As for Vegas getting a team I think that will also happen. The city is expanding so rapidly and you know the cash will be there. When it comes down to it the NFL is a business and they would be missing out on a lot of money by not throwing a team in Vegas.

I'm not freaked out that the Bills will move, that said I would be lying if I did not have some concern over their future. Like most here I love the Bills, and the thought of them not existing is something that’s difficult take. While the short term future (5-10 years) is nothing I'm concerned with yet the long-term future is. So here is the question I'm posing... Since the majority of posters stand a decent chance at being around in 30 years do you think the Bills will share the same fate? 30 years is a long time thus a good measuring stick to see how people really feel. It's easy to mock a panic stricken post that guarantees the Bills will leave in the next two years. But it seems much more reasonable that they could leave over such a long time frame. My guess would be that in 30 years they won't be around. I'm a glass half full person but 30 years is such a long time. Given the obstacles they would have to overcome during that time frame I just see them leaving as the more likely scenario. I don't like my answer so opposing views are encouraged. No flaming please

I agree, and for that reason I think it might have been premature to announce JP as the starter. What if Holcomb does much better then JP in camp? I don't think a proven veteran outperforming a first year starter is a big stretch. It’s been to long since we last made the playoffs and the best player needs to be on the field. Whether that’s Holcomb or JP it doesn't matter to me, best player should play.

I don't think he will next year either which is why I don't see the harm in having an open competition in camp. I don't know whether Holcombe would win, but why treat the position differently then every other position on your team. I highly doubt the Bills would anoint any other starting spot on the roster to a player with no game experience. Why do it with JP? Make the kid earn it

First off I just said I will be looking for these situations next year, never even implied that TD or MM gave a rats ass about me. Secondly as you said the coaches are in a much better position to evaluate JP then I am. But what along the lines of NFL game experience do they have on JP? A couple of preseason games? A couple passes and a bunch of hand-offs? Why tie your hands by making such an announcement? They would have been better off even having a skewed QB competition in the preseason. At least that way it appears to the team that he won the job. You would also have the benefit of a full roster to make the decision. I just don't understand why the "best players start" theory was only in effect for last season.

Winning the tournament, or an at large bid (very small chance)

Last year all we hear is that the starter is going to be the player that gives us the best chance to win. Now Fast forward to present time with the way they handled JP's promotion. How does their stance with Bledsoe all last year apply in anyway to the way they gave JP the job? I'm not saying getting rid of Bledsoe was not the correct move, IMO it was. What I'm saying is they're being inconsistent with the players and that his a huge mistake. Watch the NFL network and one of the main things coaches stress in interviews is the importance of consistency. Many go as far as saying it is the most important factor in coaching success. Not only was it inconsistent for the players it was also extremely premature. How can you give the starting position away when you don't even have the roster finalized? Is Holcomb a savior? No he's not. But he does have enough ability and experience to push Losman in a open QB competition. We also are now stuck permanently with Losman no matter how he performs. You think a coach would bench a first round, first year starter at QB after he was anointed the starting roll? Thats how QB's psyches are destroyed so it's not gonna happen. One quick fix to these problems is Losman playing well, if he does that will prove he deserved the starting position. I just don't think a first year QB playing poorly is that out of the question. I for one will be following these situations closely next season if JP starts slow.

Seeds one and two go to the winners of each division in the MAC. Seed 3 then goes to the team from either division with the next best conference record. Several teams tied at 11-7 so they went to the tiebreaker. The tiebreaker they use is head to head, then common opponent record, as a result Western Michigan was awarded the 3 seed.

First round games are played at the higher seeds home location. Second, Third, and Champioship round games are held at Gund Arena in Cleveland.

In hindsight this little talked about deal has proved to be very important to the Bills this coming season. Obviously replacing Pat is going to be difficult, but can you imagine having to replace both Pat and Schobel? Kudos to TD for getting Schobel signed, without him and Pat we would be in serious trouble next season.

Bottom line is Travis hurt his value this past season. While he kept his mouth shut for the most part and tried to play the role of a team player his lack of motivation was obvious. On top of that he may have destroyed one of his only chances to remain a starter by hard balling Arizona with contract demands. If the Bills decide on keeping Travis next year I expect him to play his ass off in what ever roll we give him. His NFL future will depend on not only how he plays but how he handles himself. So for those saying we can't keep Travis I disagree. If we keep him and he wants to see any future dollar signs in this league he will have to play his best ball. One more season like last year and Henry's value will drop even lower then it is today. Just like TD said, if the price isn't right they won't make a deal. In todays NFL you need two quality running backs so I certainly wouldn't be surprised if Henry remains a Bill next season.

I was electronically timed at Bowling Greens football camp at 4.75 and 4.77. That was when I was in peak condition about 6 years ago. Now I could probably barely crack 5 seconds.

For the life of me I just don't understand why so many people on here are keep freaking out about JJ and PW. How do you expect TD to handle this situation? Right now PW is trying to increase his leverage on TD by making outrageous contract demands. We all know TD is not going to over pay so he is just going to do what he has done for the past few seasons. This means waiting for the free agents to have their value determined by the market and then moving forward. He knows we can't afford to pay PW 5 million a year, same goes for JJ. Just like in years past he is going to wait to see if their value gets lowered. If the demands get lowered to realistic levels he will then begin negotiations. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but in todays NFL it is the only way to manage the cap for the long term.

Being a Western Michigan alumni I follow MAC basketball pretty closely. One thing I will say is that Buffalo seems to be peaking at the right time. The MAC is usually a very tightly contested conference so the teams that peak at the end of the year tend to do well in the MAC tourney. As for a possible at large bid for Buffalo consider it a long shot. For them to have any chance they will need to win the next two, get to the MAC championship game, and make a decent showing. Even if that happens I still consider them a long shot for an at large bid. I don't say that out of disrespect, Buffalo is a very good team and they certainly deserve at large consideration. The problem is the selection committees lack of respect for MAC teams. Last year Western Michigan went 23-4, and 15-3 during conference play. All year long ESPN gave them an at large birth in their brackentology section. After such a great season you would think they would be a shoe in for an at large bid, well that wasn't the case. Thankfully for me they won the MAC tournament but had they lost just about every analyst had them getting the shaft. Is it fair? Hell no. But that’s just the way the committee views MAC teams. In any event this years MAC tourney should be very exciting. Parity has taken over the MAC this year even more then usual, and with 4-5 teams standing a chance to get the automatic bid it should make it very interesting.

Not a bad idea for a year, my only concern would be Garcias arm strength. Just look at how many times this past year weak armed QB's struggled in Buffalo.

Since my response was so unreasonable why don't you share with us what a person should do in this situation. The question was what should a "NEIGHBOR" do if somebody else's dog has a barking problem. This thread has some great suggestions in it about controlling a dogs bark. The problem is only the dog owner would find these suggestions useful. Bark collars? Citronella collar/spray? How the hell is this person supposed to use that stuff if its not his dog? The ultrasonic thing sounds interesting, but don't you think this person should at least mention something to his neighbor before he spends any of his own money? If the guy is a reasonable person he may just buy a bark color or another anti barking device. If not then his only other options would be the cops or the ultrasonic thing. The cops probably would be a bad idea and that point, like you said it would be obvious who called them. Personally I would rather talk to the guy myself then call the cops. Then again who knows, maybe I just have exceptionally nice neighbors. So either talk to the guy, call the cops now, or buy the ultrasonic thing. Those are really the only three things you can do.
