This is funny. OP wasn't making fun of the guy. It was more of "you wouldn't believe" as in, great story. If some recognizable face picked me up, I would think it's hilarious as well. Probably want a photo. Not because I'm making fun of the guy, because it's a hell of a fun story. That is how I think the OP meant it. No disrespect to the guy. Then other people took it sideways and even more chimed in. Calm down people. If anybody is literally making fun of the guy for what he does as if he's less or basking in his misfortune, you probably live with your mom in the basement and are arguing with your brother about who gets her 25k inheritance.

Trevon Diggs is not modest and misguided.
Mikie2times replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
You never talked crap to your brother? That's how these two are. He knows Stephen is elite. They just had a feature on both of them in SI. Worth the read. https://www.si.com/nfl/2022/07/07/diggs-brothers-stefon-trevon-on-growing-up-together-daily-cover -

Heaviest "Big Man TD's" in NFL History (Sam Adams #1)
Mikie2times replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall
That was arguably the best moment of the draught era (my opinion). To beat New England the way we did. It felt like it was going to turn around that year. TD wasn't awful, it just never came together. He never found his QB and he never combined all the right parts. He could land some talent and pull off some trades though. We have had worse. -
I think the way Kyle see's it is he's now got a mobile QB in what is probably the most QB friendly system in the NFL. That said, I think this is a difficult spot. While I agree Jimmy G didn't win many games for the 49ers, he wasn't a guy that was losing many games for them either. Lance could certainly cost them games. We will see how it plays out.

I don't think this video is much, it was a very casual reference, but as one thread pointed out on the Pat McAfee show, the cap isn't real so long as your owner is rich and Terry isn't hurting. I do not recall a player that created such division from the scouts, coaches, media, and fans. All of the former think Edmunds is one of the best MLB's in the game. Throw out the splash play argument and I will say it is hard for us fans to measure what it's like to have a wacky wavy inflatable tube man running in the low 4.5's whose "thick" (maybe not Zach Wilson thick) but this is no small man. Point being, I don't know if a player existed since Brian Urlacher that eliminated such a large throwing space in the middle of the field. If that is all Edmunds does and has zero splash, it still might be enough in a passing league to be considered an elite leader by those who matter (not us).

I’m glad he openly petitioned his fan base discussing his achievements an accolades to the masses as a means to create pressure to get this done. Flop city, that last playoff game told you everything you will ever need to know about him. Bet on him the first 8 games, fade the back.

Whose lives has been improved by BLM winning?

Giving me 5 is actually very considerate. -

So you aren't exactly sure how white people talk to other white people when surrounded by all white people about everybody else but white people, specifically black people? In plenty of circles it isn't overly flattering. Some aren't like this. It's pocketed to just some homes. I'm sure other races do this as well. No. After that experience I'm 100% convinced white people treat a white male dating a black female worse than a gay man, which I suppose is progress of some kind. -

So before you try and take this down a not good place. A couple factoids for you. My brother is a federal police office and I'm very close with him. I have also dated a black woman before in a predominantly white area. I guess you're a white male? Have you ever held hands with a black female in a predominately white area? You stop feeling like you're among the people. You feel the looks as thick as the humidity on a hot Florida night. Yes, I hate to say this Doc, but people, all people, including people like my brother are product of the environment they're raised in. All people have different levels of bias that are inherent to that environment and how they were raised, and some of those people happen to be police officers. Then sometimes those police officers happened to be raised in a bad environment for the jobs they have. Again, doesn't make police officers bad, it's just the psychology of the human mind. So some people do have to worry about unequal law enforcement depending on who they encounter. Perhaps I meet somebody who doesn't like bald white guys one day and I have to worry about the same, but if I'm a betting man I would wager this works against black people at a much higher clip than say bald white men like myself. I got taken home when I blew a 1.8 on a breathalyzer when I was 18 years old. He just took me home. Is that what he does for everybody? Maybe, but I doubt out. -

Horrifically not true. Doesn’t make the police bad either, but just a dumb statement. -

I Watched SB 28 In Full Last Night, Thoughts & Analysis
Mikie2times replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
What really created this shift was the change in equipment. In the 30's/40's/50's the helmet padding and overall padding just wasn't very good. This cautioned players to not recklessly throw themselves into another player. If they did it would be certain injury. As the game progressed the equipment just kept getting better. To the point where you could go full speed and launch yourself into another person and while you might feel some pain, the likelihood of injury was low. Then of course this style of violence was celebrated and encouraged. But IMO CTE never starts if they still have on leather helmets and cloth pads. -
I don't consent to this thread, Ben doesn't care.

Regardless if we agree or not I appreciate the sensible approach both you have. I don't often migrate over to the PPP board. It's offseason, times are hard.

Where do most pro life advocates come to an understanding on when life actually begins? Religion. Ask a bunch of atheists when life begins and you will get a massive variety of answers. Hell, I've never even asked myself that question before. Ask a bunch of devout Christians the same question and you will get one answer and one answer only. When was the most famous book on religion written? When was the 2nd amendment written and what was the original intent of the 2nd amendment? Is the original intent of the 2nd amendment applicable to our current society? Why is it that here, in the US, these two topics are so fought over. When to the overwhelming majority of the rest of the free world this isn't even a conversation? I'm a moderate, 10-20 years ago, I was liberal on social views and fiscally conservative. I still wish to be that, but liberal on social views in today is off the rocker. Both parties have serious issues. I can't say either one is better or worse. Both are steaming piles.

The point of conservative ideology is it doesn't change. It never changes. Extreme conservatives want to follow documents written hundreds or thousands of years ago to the letter then impose those beliefs on the rest of society. Extreme liberals want to advance faster than the latest I Phone and impose those concepts on the rest of society. I think most normal people do not believe in either of these concepts as they aren't extreme in views. Society/media is just pushing us into a situation where they want you to be in a category. It's easier to market to you if they do, it's easier to keep your attention, easier to sell you ***** you don't need. Most of us normal liberals and conservatives share tons of view points and can meet in the middle on many topics. It's just not sexy to say that, it doesn't sell.

Massively hypocritical topic. When it's your rebellious 14 year old who is pregnant, when it's your wife that is rapped, when it's your wife that has an affair and is carrying another mans child. I'm supposed to believe these far right wing nuts won't immediately go into protecting self image mode vs following gods plan? I think that is probably the most ridiculous part of all of this. Plenty of the people who wanted this the most would turn to these services.

Correct me if I'm wrong, didn't they score late, then get an onside kick recovery, which then allowed for the FG? Good read either way. It is incredible to think of the ways this team has lost games. "Just give it to um" somehow was worse than this in my mind. Many of us remember exactly where we were for certain games. Like it was Pearl Harbor or something. I remember feeling the pain of this Monday night game, but just some pain, perhaps by then I had become numb with BTSD. As far as "Just give it to um", I can remember what I was wearing, everything, like yesterday. Remember the catch Moulds made in that game to the house? Yup....

I think we are in for a really fun season, but we will have some instances where the forum goes bat crap crazy. Likely questions if Josh is really who we thought he was, likely suggests McDermott isn't the guy. All of which could happen early on as the schedule isn't very fluffy this year and while the W/L's don't spell it out, from my observation, we are a second half of the season type of team. Realistically, I want to make it 5 games in and feel as if nothing I saw tells me we can't win it all. We could be 3-2, so be it. We are not going undefeated. World beaters in this league do not beat worlds. They are just a razors edge better than most. In sum, no major surprises early, stay healthy.

Post-Beatdown Belichick Locker Room Visit?
Mikie2times replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gHpcmj82qg 8:22 mark, watch how BB gushes about Ed Reed staring at him with lovey eyes as if he's his high school prom date. I watched so many of of these top 100's with BB running point on a lot of the commentary and I came away with three pretty clear takeaways 1. He could possibly be the most well read, knowledgeable person ever in regards to the history of the NFL. You can tell he loves the history of the game, I used to study it a lot myself, it is interesting, moreover, he's been living the game since he was a child with a father as a HC 2. He does not give out praise very easily or authentically 3. When he does give out sincere praise, as he did a few times in this show, he sort of turns into a kid in his excitement to talk about the player The notion that BB sought out Josh after that game. BB would only do something like this out of absolute respect for Josh as a football player and teammate. Then, yes, what he did in that game. BB knew it was historical. While this post got a good amount of attention, I still don't know if 7 pages is enough. BB only gushed on about 4-5 guys in the top 100 all time team, many former Colts, his childhood hero's. While some might say ego prevented it, I'm not even sure he felt this way about Brady. Speculating, I think Brady acted like the ultimate team guy. I don't think he actually was. I think Tom grew to have pretty big ego over time and had a need to feel "he was the reason". One of those guys that is thanking his teammates while he inserts himself in every photo. BB saw through it in my opinion. Allen actually is team centered, , I think that wins you BB's respect more than accolades or even Super Bowls. It's the NFL purist in him. -
As a former daily smoker (context) who still will dabble, I think we need to wait to determine how smart it was to basically market MJ like it is medicine. Yes, it can have medicinal value, but now you can get it so easily and in so many forms. I would actually advocate to go back to flower only. Between edibles, carts, it's just too easy for a seasoned smoker to be high all the time. That is not good for anybody and will lead to habitual addiction even if THC itself isn't overly addictive (which I agree it is not).
