  1. slow it down, everything is too exciting
  2. I don't think it's supposed to be that color
  3. You do realize stats can be accomplished in many ways
  4. Queue the Josh Allen plunge protection team. I’ve been fighting posters since the off-season on this. Dabs made a point to make his reads easy. We used motion more than any team in football. He ran simplified route structures. Allen has never been good at making progressions. He’s been good at making people think he’s good at making progressions and that’s what good coaching does.
  5. If we sneak in absolutely nobody will want anything to do with us early
  6. 2019, Wash, Cleveland, Miami 2021 Jets, Patriots, KC (Playoffs) Those are the two times Josh has went 3 straight games without a turnover
  7. He's just too big for this defense.
  8. I don't think Josh is the only reason we lost. I don't even think he is the primary reason we lost. We have had a DVOA on defense in the top 10 for years. EPA ranges in the bottom 20 on defense are not going to age well. Josh keeps missing the smack you in the face underneath reads. It doesn't help. Like Marino said (I actually listened to him for the first time today) he says I have to be honest, then he warns people like 7 times to not spew hate at him, "Josh is not playing well right now". Well sure he's not. Why is this so sensitive around here? The defense is playing worse. I don't know how anybody could give positive grades to our WR's or our scheme. None of it is particularly good. The offensive stats are positive as far as EPA. Stunning actually. I think the lack of sustained drives just makes it look even worse. Clearly, we are actually much closer to our usual performance than one would think.
  9. This is correct CBS was wrong on that stat. I heard it as well.
  10. Josh Allen protection team is out in full force this evening.
  11. Critique: I think Josh could do a better job getting the ball out on time. He is still missing some reads. It's forcing him to hold the ball. Board: Do you know where we would be without Josh Allen? Somewhere south of your moms tramp stamp and north of the back of her knee if you catch my drift Critique: Ahhhhh, I don't .. Board: Exactly. You aren't fan enough for Josh. You don't deserve Josh. You call yourself a fan? A real fan would know what would happen if Josh wasn't here Critique: Well, ya. We probably wouldn't make the playoffs. He's an MVP candidate. But I can talk about when he makes mistakes can't I? Board: LMAO! Josh Allen always plays well you microscopic Bildo tip. Clearly you know nothing about the game. I doubt you were even a fan in 2021. Critique: I have been a fan for 30 years. Josh isn't playing well, we do need him, but we need him to play well. He is part of the problem right now. Board: You must be Joe Marino's little brother. Who do you suggest we trade Josh for? Go on. Who? Go on? Who? Go On GO ON CAP CAPS GOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Critique: Look we shouldn't trade him I never said that. What is even happening. Board: Josh Allen just happened. Touchdown............ Critique: The Games not for several more days Board: Josh is that good Critique: This is dumb Board: I know you're but what am I
  12. Harbaugh alerted a cop 5 miles down the road of Olave speeding
  13. After the carnage that is a Bills loss, the good stuff always gets blended together in the insanity. Reviewing the forum, I felt these ones stood out as things I found interesting or surprising. Thank you @HappyDays @Andy1 as two of these came from your posts. If you guys have any other post worth twitter content or interesting factoids it would be nice to get that stuff consolidated in one place.
  14. Once he breaks out of the normal drop cadence, that's when I feel like he is going outside of the play. Which is often. He creates his own pressure by not being on time with his throws. Anything past that point is him outside of the play. I also think he's playing rather well this year. He's doing a better job trying to play within the offense. As he is doing this people are clamoring for him to run and loosen up as they see we aren't as productive with Josh trying to stay within a system. Which sort leads to my point. I'm sure OC's love Josh saving them. Plays break down, he has it. No play is ever dead with him. But if I'm an elite coach I want a guy that can execute the same way every time. I want YAC, rhythm, consistency, and growth. Not broken play bail outs. He's still the only thing saving us from complete meltdown. So ya, as much as I say that isn't flattering it's all in the lens of him being considerate an MVP candidate. Not compared to Mac Jones.
  15. Somebody can be two things at once. Josh is one of the best QB's in football and is most the reason we are decent. How he goes about that is limiting towards offensive growth because it's not by design. How do you grow as an offense when the main player in the offense doesn't want to be a part of the natural play design.
  16. Josh is a challenging player to try and build a championship with. Which ranks as a problem most people would love to have. The NFL is a precise game and Josh is not a precise player. He makes his hay in the chaos when design falls apart. If you force him to stay in the design it actually make him worse. If you let him play free you get almost unlimited upside but consistency issues that likely make it hard to win a championship. How do you address it? He is the team. As an OC or HC, you want to build an offense that is repeatable and systematic. Again, that's not who he is. I have no idea what the answer is TBH. With him here, we will always be above average. He just does so much on his own. But how do we take the next step or how do we build toward the next step? I have no clue.
  17. The point of the thread is to basically say what you're saying. The roster was so bad today Taron Johnson is likely the 3rd best player on the roster to start this game. As far as who was the 3rd best after it ended. Who knows. Maybe Kincaid or Cook. The roster is bad right now with these injuries. No way around it.
  18. Apparently he didn't have shoulder pain when he knew where he wanted to go with it
  19. Active only I would probably go with Taron Johnson. Maybe Hyde. That's about it, hard to even name a 3rd. I can't name one on offense. We have a lot of issues beyond the roster, but the roster is a pretty big part of it. At the end of the day it takes good players to win. We don't have as many left as people seem to think.
  20. I guess it shouldn't really matter. How they have looked so far. Meat of the schedule up next. If we ever were going to make a run this year we would have needed to handle this part of our schedule. if we do so, I'm sure most of the concerns we have right now will be gone. If we don't, then we will have a very long offseason.
  21. I agree. It's like we said, "see" two TE's, respect the laws of two TE's and play with 7 in the box! Then the NFL was like, no, those are two WR's. We will treat them like that until you show us we don't have to. This dates back to Beasley. As much as I hate saying it. That little slant he used to run where Josh would almost side arm it. It was 7-11 for 5-10 yards. We have no plays in our entire playbook that can replicate what that play did for us.
  22. I was going to start a thread with this post, but it overlaps with several. I will just post it in this thread. If Josh has 3 plays to wheel and deal, he will likely convert one of them into a first down. This level of freedom has led to an elite offense the last few years but also a great deal of inconsistency. Beane was vocal about needing those short and intermediate threats to provide rhythm to our 3 point offense. We beefed up the line and drafted Kinkaid. We saw in several games to start the year Buffalo was going all in with the 12 personnel. From a Madden perspective such an approach should offer more consistency in short yardage but the reality is teams aren't modifying outside of Nickle when we go to this look so it's really just a heavier 3 WR set. One we have had some success running out of but not at the level you would expect if it was true 12 man personnel vs nickel or dime. We are several weeks into the season now so any inkling as to a surprise with our two TE sets is no longer present. We sort of hit rock bottom mid way or so last year after a really hot start. Perhaps we struggle to adjust after defenses first adjust to us. Like last year, after a hot start, we seem to be struggling a good deal. We really seem stuck right now on who we want to be. We went in with a focus on 12 personnel and running the ball, but we are still a soft team largely built on broken plays. If anything the attempts at running more conventional approach are limiting the amount of plays Josh has to be Josh. Allen not running with the ball is just the cherry on top of this crisis. It was an option Josh took consistently and would provide almost 3 first downs per game. It would convert 0 yardage and negative plays into positive yardage allowing us to rack up a few critical first downs while we figured out what we wanted to do. I wish an easy fix existed here. I highly doubt the Bills will go to the Josh Allen show. Meanwhile, as an offense, Buffalo and Allen have never really showed the ability to be a consistent on schedule, drive the field offense. We seem stuck trying to fit that mold without any options to consistently keep us ahead of the chains and our offense in some sort of rhythm. I'm hoping we see more no huddle next week as the no huddle does seem to give us a little bit of timing.
  23. Team play our two TE's with Nickel or Dime. They have no respect for it being a bulked up package. They treat it as a 3 WR set and rightfully so.
  24. We seem to at least have some rhythm
