  1. He will be available I would think. I wonder what Jimbo would say?
  2. I think we would likely be moving on. Hyde would get consideration I would assume. I don't think we give Bates the keys. He's awfully meaty for cap savings. We will see on it I guess. I REALLY don't think Morse is here next year though. I think that one is more clear than Bates. It did not like simulations on certain players. He was chief among them.
  3. I have never played with the salary manager tool in spotrac. Playing with this for a bit and it would seem White, Morse, Poyer, Hines, and Bates are likely out next year. Those moves in conjunction with one or multiple restructures appear to get us near the number. So while some people are saying full on rebuilding mode I don't know if it's that drastic. Then the following year Von seems much more expendable. Enjoy the tool, it's fun and gives some perspective on the cap challenges ahead. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/tools/roster/buffalo-bills/2024/
  4. His first few years lineman would rush him aggressively and almost pass his depth in the pocket. Teams would not have a spy and it would open the center of the line like the red sea. He would just gash teams. Teams are not rushing him like that anymore. They almost always have a LB waiting for him. He needs to be much more tactical about how he is rushing. I still think he moves just fine. That TD he had against Tampa Bay he turned it on.
  5. I agree. Fire Dorsey.
  6. The reality is nobody knows. Is it McD dictating to Dorsey to protect his defense or is it Dorsey being incompetent. Either way it falls on the HC.
  7. Ben Johnson and Brian Callahan are intriguing younger options. Eric Bieniemy is warming up.
  8. This is how I feel. People want to argue if he's a good or bad coach. Is Belichick really the best coach of all time? No. He's the best coach of all time at keeping a Super Bowl contender grounded and motivated. That's not his job anymore and it's not McD's job to turn around a bad team and establish a culture of winning. It's to win a Super Bowl. This doesn't invalidate what he did well here. He is a good coach. It's just time for us to move on.
  9. 12 Personnell is 2 WR's, 2 TE's and 1 RB For us it usually is this 2 WR's, 2 TE's, 1 RB = Diggs, Davis, Kinkaid, Knox + RB Historically we have been more 3 WR/1 TE 3 WR's, 1 TE, 1 RB= Diggs, Davis, Shakir, Kinkaid +RB
  10. I was beings serious. Remember Gilbride getting punched? Defensive coaches do not like up tempo offenses. I 100% think that is the reason we won't play fast.
  11. I really don't know what it would have been like if we played the most talented version of the Bengals defense the following week. Josh was out of his mind at the time. But Josh can look amazing and then completely lost and it happens quick. So to think he had 8 more quarters of amazing? I don't think you can say somebody is crazy for doubting that. In fact, gun to the head, hell no. Not even 2021 is he going 4 straight games without an implosion. We have never really seen that with him at that level of competition.
  12. You realize if the Bengals rolled 40 on my defense people would be blaming me. Slow it down!
  13. You build a system around turning my question into a yes. We at least trended toward that concept with Dabs. We are trending away from it now.
  14. You think Allen has shown he can hold it together for 4 straight games against playoff competition?
  15. Disagree. This offense has looked better as we have moved to more 3 WR sets with just Dalton. Knox returning will put an end to what we have been doing well if Dorsey is dumb enough to allow that. 12 personnel was just window dressing a finesse offense with a power formation. It didn't work and any stats you could reference are inconclusive at best. Sometimes I stand outside when it rains. It don't think it rains because I stand outside. 12 Personnel by game. NFL savant doe snot want to spit data out for the Bucs or Bengals. Bills Jets/ 48 times = 16 points Bills Raiders / 31 times = 38 points Bills Redskins / 24 times = 37 points Bills Dolphins / 18 times = 48 points Bills Jaguars / 18 times = 20 points Bills Giants / 4 times = 14 points Bills Patriots / 18 times = 25 points
  16. I mean, watch the routes he was running in New Orleans. Are we using him at all?
  17. Really? The offense has been healthy. The defense just added two critical starters and all these back up's will keep gaining more experience. My money is on the defense "righting" the ship.
  18. I think the defense will get it together. I like our additions. The depth will grow with experience. But we will still need to score 30 or more to do anything further. I'm honestly much less worried about the defense coming around after the Bengals game. We played physical after the first quarter. Burrow was limited. Certainly played well enough to win.
  19. It has played out time and time again. The greatest power of a QB is an ability to read a defense and get the ball out quickly, accurately, and consistently. While I feel Josh has unique skills and he is certainly much better than average, he does not do what I just said very well. Which will always be what prevents him from being in the class some people want to place him.
  20. Ya, not sold myself, but makes some sense. We are seeing teams do this late in games. The math gets pretty straight forward on doing this at the success rates of 2 point conversions.
