I don't like cover zero when you need to defend 10 yards with the game on the line and you just ran a very successful cover 0 blitz. To voluntarily script Denver into either a quick slant or tossing that ball up. Limit the options to an easy decision revolving around purely a 1 on 1 match up that we don't have the edge on. It was one thing when they had field goal range and we had some element of surprise. Neither was the case on that play. I think we can create better odds than that on 3rd and 10. So I don't agree with call and I cursed it prior to the end of the play. The actual truth is nobody has enough data on game ending back to back cover 0's in that down and distance. So either side is fairly limited in the discussion. It's more about what people think is logical or not logical. A simulated pressure after the prior play, in my opinion, would have confused Wilson. We got home in a fraction of a second the play prior. He was going to look to unload that pass quick.

He was 22nd in the league last year. You don't get to take away the interceptions Josh should have had the last few years and then also argue the ones he has had this year shouldn't have happened. He was incredibly lucky the last two years. Balls fell thru so many defender hands I couldn't count.

I know some felt this would be a desirable OC landing spot, but is it really? You want to attach yourself to McD right now? He has a history of releasing coordinators and he's on his way out the door. No sane OC would take this job. I agree we needed to move on, but I don't see what I just outlined as not being the state of the union.

I was curious what the catch probability was. I figured it was among the least likely ever tracked. It was one of the better throws from a QB you will ever see. No way around it. The ball was placed about 3 yards out of bounds.

He's going to get the pass off. Which is the point of why I feel it’s a bad call. When you called the exact same thing for a sack the play before you’re basically saying let’s see who wins one on one. Our corners don’t typically excel in that situation and while the pass might have seemed low probability I would imagine Denver wins that one on one at least half the time. I just didn’t see that as being the correct call. Wilson would have froze up if the blitz bailed on that call. He was betting on that full house again am that’s exactly what he got..

I don’t want a play design the forces a jump ball with a WR who has better position in that situation.

Just because people didn't like Frazier it means we should run cover 0 in every high leverage situation until the end of eternity. Thank you.

Thought the same thing

Prior to the 3rd down conversion we had what was probably our most effective blitz of the season. With the field position if we get a sack (which we did) it would take them out of field goal range. On the next play you have to assume Wilson would be ready for instant pressure if we showed that look. Even 5-10 yards is FG range and by blitzing you either get home or you leave holes everywhere. I really felt like we would show it and back off. It seemed like the perfect trap for Wilson. Yet we doubled down and you saw the result. This was even more frustrating to me than 12 men on the field. It was the wrong call. If they're in FG range I get it. But if you ever decide to play coverage, that is the spot. Give them 5 yards and make them ponder a 50 yarder or so or go for it on 4th. Demoralizing call by Sean.
