Ryan O'Halloran - Bills should go Defense Heavy in draft
Meatloaf63 replied to BCAS Baritone's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wishful thinking that Von would not want to be an anchor on a team he hopes makes it to the superbowl and would adjust his contract accordingly. I know, will never happen… -
Ryan O'Halloran - Bills should go Defense Heavy in draft

I just think there are so many holes to fill that whatever savings we get from renegotiating will go to fill the immediate holes, a speedy wide receiver if available won’t come cheap. The logical place to get one is the draft. But who knows what will happen??? -

Ain’t much gonna happen in free agency unless Von and Diggs want to adjust their contract to their value. a good speedy wide out will have to come through the draft -

He’s capable of much more than that, especially if a speedy wide receiver is added to the mix -
Probably confusing side discussions with Karlos about the same topic. But to say Diggs never talks or talked to the press it takes two seconds to google Diggs interviews, and a whole bunch will pop up. So he does them when he feels like it, and doesn’t when he doesn’t. If you’re willing to talk about the good times you should be able to talk about the bad. I get it, he is emotional and probably better he keeps it to himself in the tough times. But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be discussed here.
-
The point is it should be discussed, but if someone says lies or gives misinformation it too should be called out. But Diggs past or future contracts or past or current behavior doesn’t get him a pass for any actions or behavior. And to think as some here try to imply, us in this forum discussing his behavior will somehow hurt his feelings, sorry that has zero effect on how he feels about the Bills. I hope he gets back to where he was, I don’t know if he was injured in some way, it certainly looked like it. But with his contract the Bills need better production, and mentally I think he needs to be able to provide it to be happy with himself and the team.

“Diggs had skipped the first day of the team’s mandatory minicamp on June 13, sparking speculation of a wider rift with the team after an offseason filled with cryptic messages and hints of tensions.” You are right, He wasn’t posting cryptic messages on Social Media, he wasn’t letting the narrative he wasn’t unhappy be a dark cloud over the summer. I must have imagined the whole thing🤦♂️

Because this is a Bills discussion forum. It doesn’t affect Diggs one bit. Do you think he ran to the forum to see what’s going on, if people are talking about him? If we talk about the draft are you worried it will affect who Beane Chooses? This fan base isn’t any different than any other fan base, especially those with teams that chronically under perform. Don’t like a topic move on to the next. The original post may be spot on or totally incorrect, but to say this doesn’t deserve to be discussed is ridiculous.

Falcons request interview with Joe Brady for HC job

We need more speed regardless don’t we? -
And they only beat us by a field goal. Two drops one by Sherfield and one by Diggs and it’s a completely different story.
-
And yet a field goal was the difference. The Chiefs vaunted defense vs are old broken down jalopy defense, and a field goal was the difference. One play Diggs dropping the ball and walking in for a Td was the difference 🤦♂️ Tired of the what ifs, maybe it’s too soon to rationally talk about it.

The Million-Dollar Question Sticking in My Mind

And we didn’t adjust to that quick enough or maybe we did and Sherfield and Diggs ***** us🤦♂️ -
The Million-Dollar Question Sticking in My Mind

Yes in part it was. 24 points was never going to be enough in the playoffs against the chiefs. The defense although a terrible performance did enough to win. -
Divisional Playoffs - Chiefs at Bills - Post game thread

Actually a Phins fan, ignore… -
Can’t argue with that, those were game changing plays. But often he’s too predictable, every first down inside the 10 is a run. What really needs to be seen is what he could do with better receivers. He also got away from using Kincaid during the drives that were stopped. Kids a beast and could have been used better during the season and last night.

Anyone else more low-key about this loss than you thought you'd be?

it may have made a difference on Kelce early on, it would have been nice to have Bernard, he has also applied pressure to qb’s in the past. -

As usual anyone could come up with a better response and analysis than you could provide. You probably think Purdy is an amazing qb. I didn’t say Mahomes isn’t a great qb, just he didn’t do anything special last night. He didn’t need to. The running game and pass protection gave him everything he needed to have a comfortable night. Tell us 5 special plays he pulled off that were game changing requiring hall of fame skills? You can’t and you won’t. Oh and tell me how many drops did he have? Two less drops for Allen an Mahomes goes home a loser.
