I voted yes, but only if it doesn’t gut our draft this year or next year,

Who will be the head scratcher pick(s) in the first round?
Don Otreply replied to Sestak4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall
The ghost of Belichek will still have an unnatural influence, -
True enough, Imo as a regime not enough has been done to get Allen the types of weapons and O-line protection needed over the duration of their tenure in Buffalo, not that they haven’t brought in players, but just not the right ones. As to the defense…, the choices concerning the line have been, shall we say not productive in the way we all have hoped for.

Those players defensive players requested by McDermott are the Jimmy and joes, Beane doesn’t do his job in a vacuum, I will give you the point that not enough elite players are brought in in FA, nor drafted for the offense, there are many aspects interwoven into why the team has plateaued under McDermott and Beane,

Could Dawson Knox be more of a gadget guy?
Don Otreply replied to akcash's topic in The Stadium Wall
That would not surprise me, but he is a good blocking TE who can catch a pass most times, and believe it or not is a valuable member of the team, -
Are we really going to miss any of the departed players?
Don Otreply replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is a chance that every so often Diggs may be missed, but that’s going to be completely dependent on who we bring on board, jmo. -
Then that would be on the guy that asked Beane for those defensive players, provided McDermott has some say in who he wants, which we can rightly assume he does…, again McDermott running back the same soft zone / contain defense annually, with no wrinkles in it for the post season has been the elephant in the room, not saying there are other personnel/ structural issues, but it is the predominant one.
-
The OP is confused, in that he appears to believe that the organization is unaware of the personnel decisions that didn’t work out and the ramifications there in, when the reverse is the case, the op is looking for something that is never gonna happen, and he should know this.
-
True enough, but to a great degree our defense has been the reason for this plateau as it were, imo the soft zone / contain defense that worked acceptably for the most part in the regular has been the teams bane come the postseason, and that is on our HC for running back the same post season defensive scheme annually, for lack of a better description. I like McDermott for the most part, but he has a stubborn streak a mile long…, and imo that’s where the trouble lies.

Okay, we are gonna trade Beane for a pick next year…,
-
Be that as it may, Beanes moves are still SOP, team dump under performing players, it’s barely news, happens with monotonous regularity in the NFL, me, not worried in the slightest, We will still win the AFCE, and go to the post season, jmo, feel free to disagree, but that’s my feelings on this,
-
No it’s not, every team dumps guys in the same fashion ever so often, it’s pretty much SOP, Beane took several swings had some success, ( four consecutive AFCE titles, 2nd in total games won since 2020 iirc etc etc) and now is re-tooling the team, it ain’t nuthin but a thing, no worries…,

Who on this planet, to include you and me has not earned criticism? Humans don’t do perfect, hell, everything god makes dies, lighten up francis,

Your right, torches and pitchforks, we must march on One Bills Drive right now!!! By the way who’s bringing the beer?

Its the NFL, hype is their life blood, without the hype the nfl is just another pro sport that is only exciting some of the time, just like the rest of them.

Well said, as to the “who” you mentioned… I won’t go there. -
Do you think Allen feels relief after the Diggs trade?
Don Otreply replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh is likely happy to not have to deal with Diggs constant whimpering, Josh like was said above liked having a quality WR at his disposal. I think the last straw for Diggs ego was the winning run the team went on and Shakir and Kincaid and Cook where getting targeted more and more frequently and the team was winning without Diggs being the constant go to option, Diggs like Beasley made himself less valuable with his antics, so the team dumped him for a next years pick. Beane did his usual great job of not airing the teams dirty laundry in public. We will see Diggs play the good soldier for a year or so in Houston, then he will do the same sh-t all over again when age rears its head and his targets get reduced and then he gets waived/cut the following season. He can wear his pink bunny suit down in Texas now…, -
So You Need to Move Diggs..Why the Texans??
Don Otreply replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why the Texans? Because they made the highest offer out of every team that may have been interested in obtaining him, it’s really that simple. -
Struck a nerve there didn’t I, lol ya know something, no-one on the Bills team is scared/worried, just those “adult fans” who like to “splain” stuff to others to make themselves feel secure, so why don’t you relax, fix yourself your favorite cocktail 🍸🚬 and maybe wait until training camp to make a definitive decision. Nuthin but luv fellow Bills fan, 😁👍
-
In a way I would rather keep a guy like Aiyuk closer to his current rate of 100 ish receptions, and have the ability to spread the ball around more, imo it keeps defenses a bit more off balance when they aren’t sure who is being targeted, we forced to many passes to Diggs, making us pretty predictable for big chunks of games, jmo.
