I think the surprise is NOBODY gets cut.
It’s possible everyone currently under contract makes it to preseason.

You don’t cut players until someone steps up and takes their job unless you need the money. We do not.
Might as well load up in the draft, sign who we are going to sign between our guys and free agents. Let the best battle it out.
Once you have a good idea of your top 53 you can dangle guys for draft picks, trade them for possible depth players, or just outright cut them. What’s the rush to get them off the team?

This^^^,  it’s like last years free agency period, TC & preseason, bring in everyone you want and let them fight for their spot, no gimies any more, keep good depth, trade or cut those that don’t perform the way you need them to.  Never make holes in your roster, if you do you are not operating from a position of power when replacing/upgrading those positions.

  2. PFF is a mix, the English language mixed with large measures of gibberish and jabberwocky, with then, predictable meanings and outcomes, that only those who know the secret handshake get the translation back into English so as to get any meaningful information from their years of selfless professional investigation and study. Gee guys you ought to know this already...

but his greed left that door open just in case  I'm pretty sure Drew playing to AB's vanity helped create this monster  Someone needed to slap AB upside his beany noggin years ago and give him a wake up call.

I think the “ leaving the door open” is strictly for outward appearances,  so Drew appears professional to other potential clients, being that everyone with a brain attached to a working nervous system knows AB is a potato with a fork stuck in it.

like it or not Drew is a damn good agent, and makes his clients big money, that’s his job.

As it were, Player agents really don’t exist in my corner of football fandom, so no dog in that fight...??

Not a Daboll fan and probably never will be.  Too Conservative and calls situational plays that sometimes make no sense.  Playing Gore for so long and holding back Duke & Yeldon were stupid decisions. Let him interview,  let him walk. Josh's long term development will be better for it.

Agree with to much Gore and not enough Williams and Yeldon, for me Josh is on the cusp of being really good or not getting much better, I so want this kid to become “The Franchise”, and make so much money he has to weigh it to find out how much he’s got, we will all know at the end of this upcoming season which path he travels, not counting outliers such as injury and other oddities...

I disagree.   Baseball has no balls.   They should vacate the World Series result and the American League Championship.  All monetary gain should be forfeited.  That is real punishment.  That includes all the players that were involved.  The Dodgers were not the only team that were screwed, all the teams in the American League leading up to their championship were also screwed.

If I was Darvish, I would would sue the Astro's.   He lost millions after that, he was a "free agent to be" at the time.

A lot of teams keeping quiet makes you wonder how many other teams were involved.  This is baseballs most likely goal.  They don't want a bigger scandal.

Yes like the French did at the Tour de France when Armstrong was busted for cheating, they revoked all his tour wins, and took back the money awards, and the record books show no winners in those years,  in this case every one he beat were all doping as well, so it’s always more complicated and a bit of a rabbit hole, as it were, but ya gotta start somewhere...

The internet, social media, and smartphones have created a societal crisis. A crisis in which we are losing connection to one another as we communicate from behind screens. It allows for people to avoid real confrontation and uncomfortable emotions because through a screen you can say anything you want and not see the reaction of the other person in front of you. This is why we have no problem fighting to the death on the internet, but greet those same people on the street with a smile.

Honestly, I have no idea who this Coleman guy is, I didn’t see or hear what he said, and I don’t care. My opinion is that real inner strength is when some idiot can say something stupid and you can laugh it off because you know it’s bull####. But, I would also say if you want to confront someone, then the way you did it is the only way, and I admire your courage! The moment you lost was when you played his twitter game as opposed to just blindsiding him. Nonetheless I think you got your message across.

I believe in second chances if they show contrition.

If I’m MLB, no way in hell do these guys come back into the game, people who cheat always cheat, it’s a major character flaw with those sorts. I’m certain they can learn to say, “do you want fries with that”..

look at Kraft and Co. they are continuous cheaters, cheaters gonna cheat, always kick them to the curb when opportunity presents itself, otherwise you condone the act and the taint. The world needs ditch diggers too...

The contention is simple, I don’t condone it. I’m mearly stating they allowed it, all teams have stolen signs, since forever, and MLB has basically said, hey Houston, you were really good at this thing we allowed, pay for it. Did the same with steroids

Your verbiage says you condone it.

Count me in the minority I guess, I’m no HOU fan, but think this is overdone

Cheating and cheaters always needs to be punished severely, it then becomes a deterrent, otherwise you are saying it’s okay to cheat at everything, that attitude is what breaks down entire societies. Those that condone cheating are in turn the same as those that cheat.

MLB doesn’t ***** around when it comes to breaking rules that concern the integrity of the game.

In fact, both are probably lucky they didn’t get banned from the game.

Who would hire these guys? They are permanently tainted, no owner in their right mind will hire these guys, their careers are over in MLB.

At least one would think as much.

  11. This is huge part of why Major league Baseball is a classier than Football .  At least MLB has the balls to suspend coaches/ FO personnel  for a year for cheating, and has at least one owner who won’t put up with low life’s running his team.  NFL management is testicle free zone. This alone makes me want to watch more baseball. If the NFL was able to be embarrassed they would be now.

this is a potential marketing bonanza for baseball to gain more fans,

“We take action when we catch cheaters”
