It is my “guess” that they will target a couple of high level #2 WRs, who they are, god knows. Beane and Mc D have stated such things in past PCs about not specifically needing a “#1” to be successful, and I believe that is the road they will go down. This will be much to the disappointment of many here, but it seems to be the Beane way. Although, I’ve been wrong before. We shall see. This off season is such a pivotal point In the Bills growth going forward, its exciting to watch it unfold.

He was beast in college. I expected more of him. But was almost invisible in rookie season in NFL. I hope next season he'll become a real monster among adults

Will go soccer/NBA route soon and have ads on jerseys/helmets/field. I'm cool with it if it takes some more commercials away.
But it won’t,

No it was definitely a penalty.... and unnecessary block.
They were facing each other when contact was made, not a blind side anything. It was an unnecessary call.

It was such a BS penalty to begin with.

I think the thought is "It's the Bills, let's have them do something unpredictable and kind of dumb"
The stench lingers after the floor was swept 3 years back.
I kind of feel drafting "sleepers" (aka "thinking we're smarter than everyone else in the room") systematically stymied the Bills for years. I'm for staying away from players who "flash" and have "unknown upside" and a bad injury history.
I do feel Beane & Co have been generally drafting very well and less "sleeper"-ish, but of course, the Jury is ultimately still out on QB.
Yup, the damage done by a disinterested owner, and bad team management will take at least two more years of continued success for the current owner and team management to rid itself of the “stench” as you put it, that seventeen years of stupid inflicted on this team.
I do think that BB Is painfully aware that this draft, and FA absolutely must hit the nail on the head for this team to move forward and reach the goals that they have in mind, I don’t believe sleeper types are on their agenda,. Yes the jury is still out..., kind of the elephant in the room so to speak. ?

On Rosen front, his circumstances conspired against him from the get go, the guy may as well retire, it will be a miracle if he becomes a starter on any team, except through injury, and I don’t believe he sees himself as career #2. With the plethora of available QBs I don’t see him as a first choice for any team, in short, the guy is screwed..jmo.

He thought it was a good “Highdea” at the time...
This doesn’t do much to shed the stereotype of the fake degree dumb sh-t football player does it... what a maroon....
-
Gee, now everyone gets a star ⭐️, so now if you suck you still get in the playoffs, won’t that be special... the XFL is looks better every day, and that league lack any good QBs.

Sadly the product is money, not football..

It's not about comparing Levi to you. It's about comparing Levi to the billionaire owners.
The fact that undrafteds can get paid so poorly even if they are outplaying first round picks is a boon for the owners, not a boon for those undrafted guys making $700k/year.
In terms of what his labor is worth, he's getting underpaid and is left with little recourse.
I think the players' union should definitely bring this up during the new CBA discussions. Because you know where those pay increases would have came from? The billionaire owners' pockets.
Stop sticking up for billionaires, people!
Oh boo boo for the guy making 700K a year playing a game for a living, oh, and I never side with millionaires or Billionaires, ever. Levi is a rich man, earning in the top three percent of American citizens. If you feel so strongly about this sort of thing, How about you go out and support all the union employees who need your help way more than Levi Wallace does, they are struggling far more than any football player currently under contract, support something truly worth your efforts. ?

I would only offer a 3rd pick due to it being a deep draft for WR and his big contract. I would want to improve the OL in free agency as a priority.
Yup, the O line does need a boost, lots to consider for getting things done correctly.

He's not the prototypical kind of character guy that they normally would go after but I do believe that Beane feels secure enough with the character of the locker room that they could make the move. My hunch is that they won't want to trade a first rounder for him which means they may lose out on him but his contract level, age and production is certainly appealing. I'm thinking they'd be willing to give up a 2nd and a 4th for him. Not sure that would be enough but that's probably the limit that they'd be willing to offer.
This sounds very Beane like to me, it really depends on how their draft board coincides with their FA board as to priority.Under the right circumstances it may play out and we do a first, as “unlikely” as that may sound, but if they did a first there is no way I see an additional lower pick on top of that, if we did a second then I could see them adding a fourth as you said.
Always fun to speculate, tons of opinions being aired, and no one knows how it will play out. This is the type of off season that could very well push the Bills into a big time contender. Fingers crossed that it all works out.

I would say, the millions he would be making on the open market is a lot better than the 700k, before taxes/agent fees, etc., he'll make on the tender.
The team options placed in rookie deals are nothing more than "cheap" labor.
By comparison, sure he makes less than other CBs, but he sure as hell isn’t hurting financially by any means, to make $700 K annually in the real world means you are in the top Three percent of wage earners in America and even higher on a world wide scale, so I’m not feeling a bit sorry for Levi, not even in the slightest.

2018 was just weird. all the cost cutting still going strong. and odd choices. tested my faith in The Process : )
Still hurting from trying to field players like Clay and Benjamin, Zay jones. etc
The O Line was concerning. For me Beane has shown enough all around improvement last season in FA , contracts ! and a Draft , that i am going to give him the benefit of the doubt . That some are yet lingering to give.
All of the above,

Should the Bills bring Cam Phillips back to compete in camp at WR?

Could very well be the case, but I don’t think that being the best in a 2nd rate football league that show cases a lot of sloppy play is going to garner a ton of attention, not that some won’t get invites, some will, but they will all be long shots to make teams.
In the Bills case we have a very good #2 WR filling the #1 position, we have a good slot in Beasley, what we need at minimum is another very good #2 or we pony up the dollars and get a true #1 wide out.
Beane will likely go the route of another very good #2 and may bring in two such players, hoping one of them grows into the #1, jmo.
