Teams lose on purpose every year, it has become quite apparent that the league doesn’t care if a team chooses to tank, as long as it is denied by team FOs, coaches etc, and not spoken of directly, outside of in a humorous fashion by sports show talking heads. Is what it is folks.

This^^^ The folk complaining incessantly are thinking five and ten years a goes MLBs, it is they who are not keeping up with what is happening in the pro game, likely it is the three yards and a cloud of dust gang. Remember, the players coming out of college don’t play “pro style football” they play college style football, it’s “mostly” spread style offenses VS the defenses made to counter those offenses. The pro game is changing to accommodate those players skill sets, it is what it is, get used to it or live with being disappointed. Go Bills!!!

Gase has never been particularly good, he rode the coat tails of generationally exceptional talent (P. Manning) pretending to have talent himself. When put in a position to grow QBs and teams without a generational talent at the QB position he has failed to do so with three consecutive teams, (Cutler, Chicago struggled and failed 23-26, Tannehill, Miami struggled and failed, 23-25, and Darnold, New York complete failure). Gase became moreso exposed as being bereft of the skill set required, with each of those teams. There is a saying in the NFL, “You are who your record says you are” ... Not for nuthin, but “you doth protest to much”...

A playoff win is not the goal, to say so is a bit of a red herring imo. A playoff win / AFCE crown is a logical “next step”. The end Goal has always been to win it all. One just needs to be aware enough to understand that the end goal is not always attainable, ie; the seventeen years of futility being an example of the end goal not being attainable... those that declare the team a failure for not reaching a certain goal, when it was likely never going to happen to begin with deservedly suffer a fool’s errand...
