Could You See Josh Allen Doing TV Commercials?
Don Otreply replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely, Josh has a good head for business, has shown massive perseverance and has had success because of that, an investment firm would be an ideal partnership, his story is their story etc etc, -

Are sports’ drafts fair to the players?
Don Otreply replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Those very same guys can also enter the real world job hunting market place to find out that its really no different, sure you can apply where you want to work, but that sure as hell doesn’t mean they want to hire you, your name goes into a pool of potential employees and the company chooses/drafts you, then you accept employment or try elsewhere if that company/team doesn’t suit you, of course in the real world your not starting out at several hundred thousands of dollars and more annually... all I can say is, fair my azs, ya get to play a game for a living, what you hear now is the world’s smallest violin playing my heart bleeds for you... okay I’m done for a now... 😂 -
Do you like the New number rules?
Don Otreply replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I voted no, reason being is that it is a change that achieves nothing more than rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic would achieve, its change for the sake of change..., that and the damn refs will Fu h k up even more calls by being confused about who plays what position... -
Something like that, or later, being the draft starts a 8pm iirc..., 😁

Yup, I can’t wait to read the torrent of posts from pissed off fans when the first pick is announced, it’s gonna be awesome 👍, it’s gonna be like the game day threads, where the whole Bills world is tumbling down..., I’ve ordered some specialty popcorn 🍿 to munch while I read them, did I say it’s gonna be great???? 😁👍

*Brandon Beane Draft Presser LIVE @ 1:00 PM EST, 4/20/21*
Don Otreply replied to ExWNYer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ignore the man behind the curtain so to speak..., teams are and always have been in negotiations with other teams and players agents before the transactions happen, to think otherwise I believe is bit naive. Should such a trade happen it will have been in the works as an option that has already been discussed/agreed upon in principle, if not else. We are not talking about choir boys here..., these guys are about getting business done, hell, as soon as the draft order was known the deals started being negotiated..., -
After rereading this thread on April 24th, I’m sure as hell not taking financial advice from the vast majority of you guys..., 😂

Gabriel Davis - Post TD Celebration
Don Otreply replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Celebrate when you’ve won, or the game is in hand, not before that, a fist pump etc for a good play/score sure, that’s to be expected, but it’s the celebrating like you’ve won after an interception or TD when you’re still losing the game, that’s pretty freakin pathetic, is it a good play? Hell Yes, celebrate like you’ve won? Hell no..., jmo. -
Athletic article on JP Losman
Don Otreply replied to Ed_Formerly_of_Roch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yup, living on reputation would be a good way to put it. That was the way of things at OBD in those days, for the most part all administrative functions, from ownership to position coaches were maned by buffoons, again for the most part, it’s no wonder the team had so little success. The marked contrast to what is going on now at OBD has been a galactic shift in the level of intelligence of those doing those jobs. It’s so very nice to have smart people running the show. -

From the owner on down the chain of command the Bills were really bad back then and wasted repeated opportunities, we made the jets look good, and that’s saying something... -
Which defensive scheme would you prefer?

It would appear he chose to leave because he could not link his own site here? not because of others disagreeing with his takes? that indeed is a shame, losing the knowledge he could have contributed here, oh well, life goes on..., -

Potential Hint to Draft Priorities?
Don Otreply replied to glazeduck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would agree for the most part with how you classify BPA..., For me, I have pretty much always thought that there has never been a draft pick that wasn’t need driven, I say this because, needing a RT for your team for example, is a need, or getting a player that is “better” at what ever, is always a need, a better player no matter how that is measured is and always has been a need for every sports team ever. All draft picks are needs, because all teams need all sorts, from role players to stars, needs needs needs. So to say that “BPA” is some how different, and not classified as yet another need just doesn’t make sense. It’s all about getting the right combination of players that puts your team over the top. -
Potential Hint to Draft Priorities?
Don Otreply replied to glazeduck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beane does indeed draft for need, as does the entire league, they as you said just give lip service to the BPA thing, BUT! The window for success is not this and next season, not by a long shot, tell Brady and Belicheck that they had a two year window..., Beane and McDermott are setting up this franchise for the long haul not a two year window and then fall back into the mediocre team BS that the Bills for all to long, that is not the game they are playing, many folk here can’t seem to wrap their minds around what is actually happening at OBD..., they fully intend to be in the SB mix for decades, not two years. Just my humble opinion... -
Evolution of the Bills' O-line
Don Otreply replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beane brought this up in the post season PC, basically stated that the run blocking needed improvement, he did say that both RBs need to be better as well, but he did put the onus on the O line. The run game scheming was not good and Beane’s comments alluded to as much, he put the offensive coaches on notice as well, as it were.
