NFL Awards Compensatory Picks - Pats Get Highest One
Don Otreply replied to WotAGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They should do away with compensatory picks altogether, teams should not be rewarded for poor cap management, or having a player leave after a contract is completed, to bad for them. -
Not this season, currently the team has something around 18 to 25 mil in cap space from what I’ve read, jmo. I could be wrong of course, but I think your source is mistaken,

What about Trent Murphy's future?

Poor guy, he’s still the whipping boy, and he’s not even on the team... 😂- 21 replies

Who's your pick for a breakout season?
Don Otreply replied to BruceVilanch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Many good choices presented, I think of this question more in position groups, so I’m hoping for both O & D lines / the run game, if those groups make a notable jump, every other position group benefits substantially. Go Bills!!! -
The Compensatory Pick System Is BROKEN.
Don Otreply replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There should not be any comp picks period, losing players in FA should be a normal part of doing business, there is in actuality no valid reason for it to exist, being that it happens to all teams, it makes a level playing field, to bad for teams that are not able to control their cap issues, cry me a river... -

What? Did the pats get more comp picks already...? -
Beane's salary cap management
Don Otreply replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that Beane wants the Bills to a perennial contender, and has only little interest in the flash in the pan concepts, it’s not that he won’t do a Diggs type of deal every so often, but he is very pragmatic in his approach to running a football team, which is a very good thing for Buffalo, jmo. -
Looks like John Brown was released

Would have liked to retain him, he was an important piece in the teams growth, thanks JB 👍 -
Cover 1: AJ Epenesa Rookie year transformation
Don Otreply replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From what I have read, the team told him to lose weight after being drafted, his bull rush technique wasn’t producing success as RBs and TEs were being used this block him at times. AJE had to learn a new way to be successful, and that is what he and his coaches have been working on, as has been stated he was seeing some success doing so. I suspect he will have more impact this upcoming season, we have a staff that appears to know how to develop players, unlike in our not so distant past... Go Bills!!! -

WR, Isaiah Hodgins - Where does he fit?
Don Otreply replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It hard to know, he supposedly has very good hands, so a # 4 thru 6 type of guy at the moment, but that can change depending on happenstance. -
How much say does the players union have over the cap being lowered or raised? I was under the impression that the union only has a say as to the cap dollars distribution percentages, if so, is the actual cap amount controlled by the owners group, who knows the actual answer to this question?

There are a lot more players with five and more concussions under contract in the league than most realize, and they will all be playing this upcoming season. Hell if you count youth, high school, college and pro time in football, the numbers of players with multiple concussions is very likely much higher than the league or those players want anyone to know.

I’m not a member of the Kim Pegula has no valid reason to be president/ owner of the team club, Quite contrary, I like that she calls the shots, it’s good for society in general, additionally because it causes such distress for a certain segment of the fan base, 😁👍 What I saw was that the team went downhill real fast after that altercation. So from a team success viewpoint someone made bad decisions...

Spotrac: freeing up cap space for Bills
Don Otreply replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
By the supposed power run blocking scheme standard, the entire O line would need to be cut, being in actuality we never had a power run game to speak of except for like maybe two games..., and those were not toward the end of the season, 😁 being we are a pass first team, and Morse is one of the league’s best pass blocking centers... just sayin, 👍 -
BR worst free agent signing of 2020
Don Otreply replied to Orlando Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All lists are subjective. -
But true none the less, if you lose the game you are the loser, regardless of any individual performance by a member of the losing team. What kind of sissy mind set do some folk employ to deflect that the team that lost are the losers, from the water boy to the owner ya lost, that makes you the loser.
-
Every member of a team that loses a game is indeed a loser for that game regardless of individual performance, ya lost the game you’re the loser, really very simple, ya just didn’t get a silver star for your forehead that day, folk need to get over this need that everyone is a winner even when they lose.
